Original WW2 Japanese Officer's Sword Belt. Sn 6292. - 6292
This original WW2 Japanese Officer's 'Wide Webbing' Sword belt is in great condition. Constructed of rugged olive coloured Webbing and leather with a broad metal buckle, it measures 35" in length and is 3" wide. The belt has 2 leather hangers securely stitched onto the belt. One hanger has a double brass slot fitting, the other a single steel loop. The belt ends are edged in leather. This item is clean, undamaged and has no signs of repair. All stitching and fittings are secure and intact. Price for this hard to find item includes UK delivery. Sn 6292.

This is a scarce 2 volume set of the definative work on Naval and associated swords by Commander W.E. May R.N. and P.G.W. Annis published in 1970 by Her Majestery's Stationary Office. In the two volumes topics and lists include British swords, Swords of 'other lands', swords in the Maritime museum, sword cutlers and proof marks. There are many plates and illustrations. An original, old and very nice condition iron Tsuba from a Japanese sword. It has a 65mm radius, square with rounded corners on the mimi. The central seppa dai has a copper insert on the narrow edge for the sword tang. It has two riobitsu either side of the seppa dai and is very skillfully made. I am unable to date it but is a minimum of 100 years old. price includes UK delivery.
