WW2 Era Home Front, British Police Inspector's Tommy Helmet Marked ‘7’ With Liner & Chinstrap. POL 357 - POL 357 This is a very good original, WW2, painted steel Police Inspector's 'Tommy' helmet. The helmet is painted blue and has its original Stenciled paint lettering 'POLICE' and rank Insignia bands. The inner rim of the helmet is stamped with what appears to be a number ‘7’. It has its original black oil cloth liner and sprung webbing chinstrap all of which are completely intact. The helmet is undamaged with no denting and it retains its original paint. It is approx. WW1 Metropolitan Special Constabulary Police Cap With Cap Badge to J. Compton Along with Metropolitan Special Constabulary 1914 Long Service Medal. POL 352 - POL 352 An original WW1 Metropolitan Special Constabulary Police Cap with cap badge to J. Compton along with a brass Metropolitan Special Constabulary 1914 Long Service Medal. The Metropolitan Special Constabulary was an unpaid force supporting full time Policemen in London during WW1. The hat has a blackened night badge to Metropolitan Special Constabulary with wearers loops on the reverse, held in place with a brass pin. The hat has a black leather hat band/chin strap held by two black buttons to the sides. The peak is black. The cap top and sides are in good undamaged condition. The inside of the cap has a brown leather sweat band with "Percy H. Lightfoot &" handwritten in ink inside. The top lining also has a white manufacturers stamp with "J. Compton Sons & Webb Ltd 7" inside. This is an excellent original cap. Along with the cap is a brass "Metropolitan Special Constabulary" Long Service Medal along with wearers bar. Derbyshire Kings Crown Badged Constabulary Constable's / Sergeant's 2 Panel Night Helmet. Sn 10272 - 10272 This is an excellent original Derbyshire Constabulary Constable's / Sergeant's 2 panel helmet with a WW2 King's Crown night helmet plate and chin strap. It has a perfect exterior finish with correct 2 panel construction and ornate black painted vented rose top mount and headband with side rosettes. The rose and headband have the original blacking. It is fitted with it's original blackened King's Crown plate with central silvered Derbyshire Crest. Inside it is in good condition with a leather sweat band and chinstrap with small buckle. Sn 10269 - Sn 10269 This is an excellent original post 1953 Lancashire Constabulary male Constable's/ Sergeant's 2 panel helmet with a Queen's Crown night helmet plate and chin strap. It has a perfect exterior finish with correct 2 panel construction and ornate black painted vented rose top mount and headband with side rosettes. The rose and headband have the original blacking. It is fitted with it's original blackened Queen's Crown plate with central silvered Lancashire Rose. Inside it is in excellent condition with a leather sweat band with string adjustment cord and chinstrap with small buckle. It has a black ink stamp "6 3/4" giving the size. Early WW2 1939 Dated Home Front, British Police Inspector's 'Tommy' Helmet By BH & C Ltd With Liner & Chinstrap. Sn 9636 - 9636 This is an excellent condition, complete, original, WW2, painted steel Police Inspector's 'Tommy' helmet. The helmet is painted white and has it's original Stenciled navy blue paint lettering 'POLICE'. The inner rim of the helmet is stamped 'ROC VA' & dated 'I (Jan)1939'. It has it's original black oil cloth liner with adjustment cord and sprung webbing chinstrap all of which are completely intact. The chin strap is hand ink marked '981' . The inside of the helmet is marked by the manufacturer 'BH&C Ltd' dated '1 (Jan)1939' and has date size '7'. The helmet is undamaged with no denting and it retains almost all of it's original paint. WW2 Metropolitan Police Special Constabulary Officer's Peaked Cap By Herbert Johnson, New Bond Street London To 'E' Division SC 4468 Wharton. Sn 9284 - 9284 This is an excellent WW2 Metropolitan Police Special Constabulary Officer's Peaked Cap. It's Dark Navy Blue material is clean and undamaged as is it's excellent embroided Oak leaf band. It has it's original alloy Cap Badge with King's Crown, Coat Of Arms & wording 'Metropolitan Special Constabulary'. The rear of the badge has the correct lugs & split pin. It has a patent leather peak & The Cap's liner is clean with just the service wear to be expected. The crown of the cap has a nice label 'Herbert Johnson, 38 New Bond Street london' with Arms and 'Royal Appointment' banner. Following the designation of Manchester Airport under the Policing of Airports Act 1974, responsibility for policing the Airport passed from the Airport Police to the local territorial Police Force, Greater Manchester Police, on 1 August 1976. Sn 7721. - 7721 Established in 1839 Durham Constabulary was one of the first County Police Forces to be formed. This is an excellent post 1953 male Constable's/ Sergeant's Helmet of the Durham Constabulary. It has a perfect exterior finish with ribbed band and rigid Combe to provide greater protection during public disorder with combe plate & blackened Queens Crown Night plate. Inside it is in excellent condition with a leather sweat band with string adjustment cord and chinstrap togehter with additional Public order press stud fastening chin strap for use during riots and public disorder. POL 327. - POL 327 The North Yorkshire Police Force was formed on 1 April 1974 and was largely a successor to the York and North East Yorkshire Police, also taking part of the old West Yorkshire Constabulary's area. This is a peaked hard top, bowler cap issued to Female Sergeants or Constables in the North Yorkshire Police. It is in excellent condition with blue &white chequered band & correct North Yorkshire Police badge bearing the white rose of Yorkshire and Queens Crown. A Rare Royal Falkland Islands Police Hat and Enamel Badge Sn 7366 - 7366 Royal Falkland Islands Police Hat and Royal Falkland Islands Enamel Badge, size 6 1/2 (53) The hat is in very good condition, the black and white chequered hat band is clean and undamaged, the peak and chin strap are both in very good condition and the chin strap is secure. The hat has a tweed lining as can be seen in one of the photographs and retains the manufacturers label, "A Gannex Product" by appointment to H.M. Queen Elizabeth II and H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh. This is a superb example of a police hat with a rare Enamel Police Badge which has the words "Royal Falkland Islands Police " round the outside and "Desire the Right" written over a yellow background below a sailing ship below a raised image of a Sheep.
