INERT. American Vietnam War Era Dummy Napalm Bomb Igniter Fuse. - O 1676
INERT. This is a scarce Vietnam War era dummy napalm bomb igniter fuse. The grey fuse is an instruction dummy fuse and was fitted to the front of a napalm bomb to give an airburst instead of contact burst when dropped which would prove more effective over vegetation and troops in the open as opposed to it igniting on contact. The top of the fuse has an alloy 4 vaned arming propeller with a safety pin attached to a split pin to stop the propeller rotating is transit. The lower circumference if the fuse is closed by a pressed steel crimped on course threaded right hand screw thread This fuse retains much of its original grey painted finish and is stencilled in white round its circumference INERT. The base of the fuse is engraved with the number 592004683 and has a 12mm slotted screw head to one side. The fuse is approximately 4 inches diameter with a height of 4 3/8 inches. INERT DEACTIVATED. British Number 960 Mark 1 Drill Bomb Fuse. - 19451
INERT DEACTIVATED. This is a British number 960 Drill Multi mode bomb fuse. Drill fuses were used to train armourers to safely fit, use, handle and store fuses, This is a little used British number 960 mark 1 drill tail mounted bomb fuse and is paint dark blue to signify this. The bottom of the gaine is also stencilled in white DRILL. The fuse has a red label on the top with 960 MK 1 (the fuse number). The fuse also has in white lettering with arrows on this red label WARNING DISABLER EXTENDS AT HIGH VELOCITY, ENSURE RED SECRUITY SEAL INTACT and ENSURE T-BAR ALIGNED. The fuse is also stencilled round its circumference in white 960 MK1 DRILL/A HMK 91 DL/TGC/ 1335-99-060-3689 . The fuse has two electrical multi pin connectors to the side and a large locking ring above the gaine to secure the fuse in the tail of the bomb, under the tail fins. The bomb used with this fuse was usually a 1,000lb General Purpose (GP) bomb. The number 960 fuse was replaced in service use by the 951/952/947 series of bomb fuses around 2005. INERT DEACTIVATED, WW2, German No89B Bomb Fuse And Bakelite Transit Container. - O 1695
INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an original German No 89B, mechanical bomb time fuse with a delay of between 4 to 60 seconds and its original bakelite transit container. The fuse has an alloy top with a blackened steel casing and an alloy base screwed for a gaine with a steel locating pin. The top of the fuse has a single large central charging plunger at the top which is stamped Nurfurhand Einstellung. The fuse is stamped at the top ZT.Z.89 B 13 t. bzz (IG-Farbenindustrie, Camerawerk Muenchen) waffenampt 126. There is a trace of red paint across the lettering on the top of the fuse. INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an original German 1941 dated No 59A bomb fuse, and its original bakelite transit container. This short all alloy fuse is a mechanical fuse for the LC 50 parachute flare with a delay of between 13 and 57 seconds. The alloy fuse has two insulated plungers at the top. There is a steel location pin at the side to orient the fuse with the bomb casing. The fuse is stamped at the top EIZt 59 A bmv (Rheinmetall-Borsig AG, Soemmerda plant, Soemmerda) 1941 (1941 date) 1c waffenampt 66 . This fuse was for use with the LC 50 parachute flare. DEACTIVATED INERT. This is a WW1 French Trench Mortar Grenade launched from old rifles (The grenade launcher was made with an old rifle 1874 model 'Gras' 11mm with the barrel cut at 10 cm) to quickly equip the poilus with trench artillery, the Guiddetti launcher gave the French army a cheap direct and indirect fire weapon with a range of 40 to 195 meters. The top fuse would screw out of the chamber which held 150g of cheddite explosive. This example has the corked fuse with brass insert and copper wire still intact. INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an unfired WW2 INERT German Anti-Concrete shell base fuse (BdZf15cmGr19Bd) for the 15Cm s FH18 Field gun. The steel fuse is stamped on its base BdZf15cmGr19Bd RHS 433/39. The alloy circular plate on the base of the fuse is stamped GV KV OV meaning long, short and no delay when setting the fuse delay. The base fuse is screwed into the unfired steel gain which is stamped cyw (Sachsiche Gubstahlwerke) on the base. The first picture shows the fuse unscrewed from the gaine side by side.
