INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an original German 1941 dated No 55 bomb fuse, safety cap and is complete with its original bakelite transit container. This fuse is an electrical impact fuse. The fuse has an alloy top and a steel casing with a bakelite base to hold the gaine. The fuse has two insulated plungers at the top. There is a steel location pin at the side to orient the fuse with the bomb casing. The fuse is stamped at the top EIAZ 55 (within a circle) bl (Radio H. Mende u. Co., Dresden) 41 (1941 date) 22d waffenampt 107 . The alloy press on safety cap is stamped Kappeu. Dichtungsring vor beladen entfernen. DEACTIVATED INERT. This is a WW1 French Trench Mortar Grenade launched from old rifles (The grenade launcher was made with an old rifle 1874 model 'Gras' 11mm with the barrel cut at 10 cm) to quickly equip the poilus with trench artillery, the Guiddetti launcher gave the French army a cheap direct and indirect fire weapon with a range of 40 to 195 meters. The top fuse would screw out of the chamber which held 150g of cheddite explosive. This example has the corked fuse with brass insert and copper wire still intact. INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an unfired WW2 INERT German Anti-Concrete shell base fuse (BdZf15cmGr19Bd) for the 15Cm s FH18 Field gun. The steel fuse is stamped on its base BdZf15cmGr19Bd RHS 433/39. The alloy circular plate on the base of the fuse is stamped GV KV OV meaning long, short and no delay when setting the fuse delay. The base fuse is screwed into the unfired steel gain which is stamped cyw (Sachsiche Gubstahlwerke) on the base. The first picture shows the fuse unscrewed from the gaine side by side. INERT DEACTIVATED. This is a quarter sectioned unfired British No 208 fuse for the British 3.7 inch anti-aircraft which was the standard heavy anti-aircraft gun used from 1938 throughout WW2. This clockwork fuse superseded the No 199 powder fuse in 1942 with a maximum running time of 43 seconds. A quarter section has been removed from the body of the fuse revealing the clockwork and safety shutter mechanism. This fuse is stamped No.208 MK6/2 struck out and 208 MK8/1 BW53 LOT 90 004919. The main body of the fuse is made of brass. There is a brass screwed locking collar above this securing the alloy portion of the fuse. This fuse is in excellent condition. The fuse which is in excellent condition has a steel body which is stamped ZZS/60nA over hhi (Gebr. Thiel-Seebach GmbH, Ruhla / Thringen) 29/ 1941 (date) Waffenampt258 Navy waffemampt mark . There is also a marine Waffenampt and a makers monogram. There is an alloy nose cone held in with a screwed collar. The undamaged alloy steel fins are stamped by the manufacturer EEC together with Feb / 42 date (February 1942) and ‘Z’ indicating Zinc components. The lacquered steel body has a nice brown patina on it and is stamped 2” MOR together with 1/42 (Jan 1942 date) and ‘WW’ within diamond cartouche manufacturer mark . The time pencils which are colour coded corresponding to the time delay from 30 minutes to 30 hours. Each pencil is inert and do not contain any explosive.
