INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an unused 1939 dated WW2 German 20mm Flak 38 dummy round resembling the Armour Piercing round for the Soluthern 20mm Flak 38 anti-aircraft gun . This gun was used singularly or in the Quad Vierling 38 mount as an anti-aircraft weapon. The brass cartridge has a slotted screw in the primer pocket and no crimping to the case mouth. The headstamp is P (Polte Armaturen- u. Maschinenfabrik AG, Magdeburg, later renamed 'Polte-Werke') S (in a triangle) 22 39 (1939 date). The projectile is made of turned steel. This is an unfired German Kriegsmarine Masden 20x120 HET (High Explosive Trace) Round for the Masden 20mm automatic cannon developed in Denmark in the 1920s for the 20mm Madsen automatic cannon, offered in various mountings for aircraft, AA and anti-tank use, although only successful in the AA role. These guns were used by the Kriegsmarine in an anti-aircraft role after capture and used German made ammunition, This percussion primed green lacquered steel cased round is headstamped asb (Deutsche Waffen- u.
