This is a near mint British Radway Green made factory dummy 30mm Aden (30x110B) aircraft target practice (TP) round. The German Mauser company was developing the Mk 213 aircraft revolving canon near the end of the WW2. The MK213 was developed was developed in 2 calibres , one in 30mm utilising the 30 x 85R cartridge in 20mm utilising the 20 x 135. After WW2, the gun was developed by the British and calling it the ADEN (Armament development, Enfield) cannon which as a 30mm weapon. Two rounds were developed, both with the same overall length, one similar to the German 30mm round designated the 30x86B, common referred to as the ADEN low velocity round with a bigger projectile. The other one was the one which was adopter being the ADEN high velocity with a 30x110B cartridge case. Both cases were belted. The round was fitted to various aircraft including the Hawker Hunter, English Electric Lightning and the Harrier. This is a British ADEN high velocity target practice round with a brass cartridge case which is headstamped in the belt.J.30MM. RG.78 (Radway Green manufactured in 1978). The steel projectile has a copper driving band and retains most of its original light blue painted finish. The projectile is stencilled in black round its circumference 30 MM INERT FILL.
