An excellent condition WW1 dated brown leather Sam Browne pattern holster for the Webley & Enfield MK VI .455" Calibre Service Revolvers (illustrated in images 1 is a WW1 British officer on the parade ground wearing his Sam Browne pattern holster similar to ours). It has a full flap cover with single brass stud which fastens to a retaining strap with eyelet stitched to the body. It has a large rear belt loop with original brass hook for attachment to Sam Browne belt rigs. The belt loop is impressed by the manufacturer ‘G&H’ and date 1915. **SCARCE**WW1 1918 U.S. Army Warren Leather Goods Company Holster For .45 ACP Calibre Colt 1911 & 1911A1 Semi Automatic Pistols With ‘JAO’ Army Inspector’s Mark. Sn 21952 - 21952
These holsters were the standard holster for American troops carrying the M-1911 or M-1911A1 pistol (illustrated in image 1 is a period WW1 image of a US Army instructor in Uniform posing with with a Colt 1911 pistol. On his waist belt is a holster similar to our example). The holster is in excellent condition. It has a full flap cover with eyelet which fastens to a brass stud on the front of the holster. The flap is embossed with the ‘U.S’ (Army) roundel. On the reverse it has a leather belt loop, secured with stitching and four brass rivets. It also has a brass wire belt hanger. The leather belt loop on the back of the holster is impressed by the manufacturer ‘Warren Leather Goods Co’ above ‘1918’ date and US Army inspector’s mark ‘JAO’. The muzzle end of the holster has a brass ringed hole for thigh cord and is fitted with its original coiled leather thigh cord. All of the stitching & leather is clean and intact. Early Nazi German 1936 Dated & WW2 Era Gerbruder Klinge Dresden Officer’s Brown Leather Hard Case Holster For Luger PO8 9mm Semi Automatic Pistols. Sn 21962 - 21962
An original early Nazi Luger PO8 holster made of brown cow hide. Illustrated in image 1 is a contemporary WW2 image of German troops preparing for hand to hand urban combat on the Russian front during Operation Barbarossa WW2 1941. The Officer in the Foreground is armed with a PO8 luger, grenades and ammo belts and has a Luger holster similar to ours on his belt, while behind him a Soldier checks his rifle. The full cover of the holster is secured with a leather strap and metal buckle, both are in excellent condition. The holster has a magazine carrier stitched to the right aspect. The reverse of the holster has two leather belt loops. On the inside of the holster it retains its quick draw leather pull strap with leather toggle and Luger maintenance tool pouch with flap cover and stud fastener. The rear of the holster crisply impressed with Nazi Waffenamt and by the maker Gerbruder Klinge Dresden together with early Nazi date ‘1936’. All of the leather & stitching is clean and intact. A Quality Western Rig. The belt is double lined with leather, with a tooled dark brown leather belt and holster. The belt measures 45" from end to end. The belt has a smooth effect with white stitching and brass furniture and is very supple. It has a brass-coloured buckle which is secured with two rivets. The holster has no pattern. A Quality Western Rig. The belt is lined with green suede, with a tooled dark brown leather belt and holster. The holster is lined in tan leather giving a very nice contrast. The belt measures 45" from end to end. The belt has a tooled 'Basket Weave' pattern on the outside, it is very supple. It has a silver-coloured buckle which is secured with two rivets. The holster is also tooled in a 'Basket Weave' pattern. It measures 18cm x 9cm approx. In WW1 the British RNAS were issued with Webley .455 semi auto pistols and Revolvers. This is a very rare WW1 era British RNAS Officer's Brown Leather Holster For Webley .455 Service Revolvers & Semi Automatic Pistols. A copy of a contemporary photograph taken in autumn 1914 shows a group of Royal Navy Flight Officer’s & Royal Marine Officer’s, at least 2 of whom are carrying one of these holsters is illustrated in image 1. Our holster has the correct riveted seam, full flap cover with single brass stud and retaining strap with eyelet. The rear has stitched tabs which support a leather cross belt with brass buckle. All rivets are in place and all stitching intact. The inside of the flap is impressed with numbers ‘7/38’ date possibly an inter war re-issue date (July 1938) together with maker mark ‘PHD’. This pair of British Mounted Officer's Leather Bucket Pistol Holsters are in near mint condition. The hard case, open top, brown leather holsters are clean with all leather and stitching intact. Each holster has original leather straps with brass buckles for saddle attachment which thread through leather belts loops at the throat of each holster. Each holster has an integral stitched leather cup to protect the muzzle opening of a holstered pistol. There are no visible maker or date marks on either holster. In WW1 the British RNAS & Naval Brigade Pilot Officers were issued with Webley .455 semi auto pistols. This is a rare WW1 era British RNAS Officer's Brown Leather Holster For Webley .455 Semi Automatic Pistols. A copy of a contemporary photograph taken in autumn 1914 shows a group of Royal Navy Flight Officer’s & Royal Marine Officer’s, at least 2 of whom are carrying one of these holsters is illustrated in image 1. Our holster has the correct riveted seam, full flap cover with single brass stud and retaining strap with eyelet. The tip of the strap is maker marked ‘HGR’ together with ‘17’ (1917 date). The rear has 2 riveted belt loops. All rivets are in place and all leather & stitching intact. The holster comes with an excellent original WW1 1917 Dated British Leather Ammunition Pouch for .455 auto ammunition. The leather pouch is clean and all leather stitching and rivets are intact. It has a fold over flap which has additional stitched leather loops for .455 auto rounds. The flap is secured with a short leather tab which secures over a brass stud on the front aspect. The tab is secured with copper rivets. On the rear it has two leather belt loops which are secured with copper rivets. The stitching is also re-enforced with an additional four copper rivets on the pouch. On the reverse it is stamped by the manufacturer ‘J&A Hillman Ltd’ and dated ‘1917’. It measures 6" x 4 ¼”. WWI O/Ranks British Cavalry Sword Frog and Saddle Straps. 21683:1. - 21683:1.
The word frog relating to swords/bayonets etc is thought to be an adaptation from the Portuguese word froco. This is a barely used thick brown leather sword frog which is in excellent un-used condition. The leather stitching and brass coloured buckles and studs are in perfect condition. *Scarce* WWII Dated German Holster for the Captured Polish Radom Vis 35 Semi-Automatic Pistol. 21755. - 21755
The Vis or Vis 35 (Polish designation Pistolet wz. 35 Vis, or simply the Radom and Vis wz. 35 in Poland) Is a Polish semi-automatic pistol. Its design was based on the Colt M1911. It was manufactured by Fabryka Broni Łucznik Radom. When the Germans overran Poland in 1939, they captured the Radom factory and turned its efforts toward supplying arms for the Nazi war machine. The Vis 35 was redesignated the P-35(p) — Pistole 35 (polnisch). This scarce holster is in very good condition. Marked BNZ (which is the manufacturer code for Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG, Werk, Steyr Austria) and 1943 on the inside flap, along with ‘P-35’ (Pistole 35).
