**ORIGINAL**WW2 Era Nazi German Double Decal Police Combat Helmet With Liner & Chin Strap. Sn 23223 - 23223
This is an original Nazi Civil Police double decal helmet. The helmet retains its original black paint finish which has service wear in areas but no dents. The inner skirt of the helmet has faint unreadable numbers possibly batch number or maker code (illustrated in image 2). The left side of the helmet features the correct Nazi NSDAP Party emblem shield decal. The right has the correct Nazi Police shield with spread wing Eagle, wreath and Swastika. Both decals have excellent colouring and have just the wear consistent with age and service use. The helmet is complete with leather liner which has even field / combat wear. The liner has size ink stamp ‘56’ (UK size 6 7/8 - 7). All leather and stitching are intact. The helmet has its original leather chin strap which is intact but has service wear. This original WW1 German M16 Combat helmet is as found & has not been messed with. It has its original field olive green / brown hue finish. It has no dents & even patina. **RARE**Original**WW2 1944 'D-Day' British 3rd Pattern Paratroopers Jump Helmet By BMB With Liner & Chin Strap. Sn 21682 - 21682
This is an excellent original WW2 1944 dated 3rd Pattern British Paratroopers Jump Helmet (See page 93 of For King & Country By Glenn). 3rd pattern Jump Helmets were manufactured from 1943 and featured a manganese steel shell with webbing liner & leather chin cup. They 1st saw action on June 6th 1944 for the Normandy Invasion. This helmet has the correct liner and has most of its original green paint. The leather sweatband is crisply date stamped '1944' together with manufacturer's mark 'BMB' and size '7 5/8'. The helmet has its original webbing chinstrap arrangement with leather chin cup. This is a near mint, original WW2 era Nazi German DAK Africa Corps (Deutsches Afrikakorps) Double Decal Tropenhelm Tropical Helmet as used by DAK troops in the Africa & Italy campaigns. One side of the green felt material covered hard helmet is mounted with its original metal shield badge with enamelled German National Tri-colours. The other side has the Nazi Army DAK metal shield badge with silver coloured ‘Eagle with Swastika’ on a black enamel back ground. The helmet is complete with clean leather sweatband, red felt and green cloth liner, leather trimmed brim, vented crown and green leather chinstrap. The crown of the helmet has the correct brass vent. All material is clean and intact. The excellent, clean leather sweatband is crisply impressed by the maker ‘JHS’. This is an excellent, original, WW2 German Luftwaffe 'Luftshutz' (Air Raid/ Civil Defence) helmet period converted from a Captured Occupied Czechoslovakian Army Combat Helmet. The Helmet retains its Nazi Converted dark blue paint and the front bears bold Nazi applied Luftwaffe Eagle with Swastika silver & black decal. At the Time of conversion the Nazis also added the protective combe on the skull of the helmet. There are no maker or date marks on the rim of the helmet but they may be present under the paint. The helmet has its horsehair filled pads liner & leather chinstrap with buckle (the tip of one end of the chinstrap is absent. WW2 Era Home Front, National Fire Service (NFS) Tommy Helmet Marked With Liner & Chinstrap. Sn 22854 - 22854
The Auxiliary Fire Service (AFS) formed in January 1938 and fire stations were set up in buildings such as schools, garages and factories. A recruitment drive was launched with as many as 28,000 fire fighters required to support London Fire Brigade's 2,500 officers and fire fighters. To provide a unified service throughout the country, the National Fire Service (NFS) took control on 18 August 1941 when all AFS were merged with local brigades to form a national service. By 1943 over 70,000 women had enrolled in the NFS in the United Kingdom. This is an excellent original, WW2, steel NFS 'Tommy' helmet. The helmet has its original black paint with red band and King’s Crown NFS insignia. The inner rim of the helmet is stamped ‘32’. There are no date marks but they may be present under the paint. It has its original black oil cloth liner and sprung webbing chinstrap. The helmet is undamaged with no denting and just some areas of scuffing to the green paint finish. It is approx. UK size 6 ½. This helmet has its original black paint finish with ARP Bomb Warden’s large white paint stencilled ‘7 BW’ designation to the front (most likely Bomb Warden Number 7). The paint has areas of wear to be expected and has no dents. The inner rim of the helmet is stamped ‘E-16’ possibly a batch number. There are no visible date or maker marks but they may be present under the paint. The M15 Adrian helmet (French: Casque Adrian) was a combat helmet issued to the French Army during World War 1. It was the first standard helmet of the French Army and was designed when millions of French troops were engaged in trench warfare The later M 1926 helmet was made of a single piece of pressed steel without joining rim and top combe. The Service de Santé des Armées (SSA) was the French medical corps during World War I, responsible for providing medical care for soldiers, including selection, health assessments, and care during operations and recovery. It operated through various levels of care, from the immediate medical posts in combat units to surgical treatment in field hospitals and further treatment in army teaching hospitals. The SSA’s mission was supported by various personnel, including physicians and surgeons, and it contributed to the national public health system even after military service. This is an original WW1 M15 French Adrian Combat Helmet complete with sweatband liner and chinstrap with buckle most likely presented to a WW1 French Army Surgeon Officer Veteran in memory of the Great War. The helmet is fitted with an original Infantry RF SSA helmet plate featuring the Rod of Asclepius, with a single snake on a staff representing medicine and healing & has an ornate brass plate riveted to the brim engraved ‘Soldat De La Grande Guerre (Soldier Of The Great War) 1914-1918’. The helmet has scuffs, a few small dents and patina consistent with age and retains its original field grey paint finish. It is approx UK size 7. **ORIGINAL**WW2 Nazi German Fire Protection Police Double Decal Combat Helmet With Original Liner & Correct Original ‘Y’ Harness Chinstrap System. Sn 22838 - 22838
This is an original WW2 era Nazi German Fire Protection Police double decal combat helmet in excellent condition. The Police combat helmets were issued with double decals, the Police Eagle and Party Colour shield with Swastika right up to the end of the war, however, after 1943 many of the helmets issued to Police came with no decals (see page 256 of The History Of The German Steel helmet 1916-1945 by Baer). The helmet retains its original field dark grey / black paint finish has just light surface scuffs & no dents consistent with age and service use. All rivets/ pins and steel chin strap bales are correctly in place. The inner skirt of the helmet has an indistinct cartouche mark (illustrated). The left side of the helmet features its original silver Police Nazi Eagle with Swastika & wreath on shield background decal. The right has the Nazi Swastika roundel on a red NSDAP party shield. Both decals have strong colouring and have wear consistent with age and service use. The helmet is complete with original undamaged leather liner which has even field / combat wear. The liner has faint ink handwritten number name ‘8’ and red ink stamped size ‘58’. The helmet has its original Correct ‘Y’ Harness Chinstrap System found on Fire Protection Police helmets (see page 258 of Baer’s book where these chinstraps are illustrated).
