This is an original WW2 dated USAAF Officer’s service cap in near mint un-issued condition. It is made from khaki ‘fur felt’ with braided head band. The brown leather peak and chin strap are complete and undamaged and secured by gilt USAAF buttons. To the front it has a gilt metal American Eagle officer’s cap badge. Inside it has a brown leather sweatband, the inside of which has Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot Stores Markings, cap designation, with ‘fur felt’ material detail and size 7 1/8 together with date January 2 1945. This is an original near mint British 'Tommy' Combat Helmet. It is complete with original oil cloth sweatband liner and elasticated webbing chinstrap. The chin strap has a small indistinct ink stamp (illustrated). The crown is stamped by the manufacturer M.A. Co and dated 1939. This is repeated on the inner rim of the helmet. The helmet is undamaged with no dents & painted with its original olive green paint. The right side of the helmet has its original half blue and half white formation / Division roundel mark. The helmet is fitted with original camo netting which is undamaged and securely fitted (to avoid potential damage we have not attempted to remove it). The helmet is approx. UK size 6 1/2. Original WW1 British WD 1918 Pattern Other Ranks Field Service Cap Of The Royal Marines Artillery With Regiment Cap Badge . Sn 15703:19 - 15703:19
The Royal Marine Artillery was formed as an establishment within the British Royal Marines in 1804 to man the artillery in bomb vessels. As their coats were the blue of the Royal Regiment of Artillery, this group was nicknamed the "Blue Marines" and the Infantry element, who wore the scarlet coats of the British infantry, became known as the "Red Marines". During the First World War, in addition to their usual stations aboard ship, Royal Marines were part of the Royal Naval Division which landed in Belgium in 1914 to help defend Antwerp and later took part in the amphibious landing at Gallipoli in 1915. The Royal Marines also took part in the Zeebrugge Raid in 1918. This is an original Royal Marines Artillery 1918 pattern OR’s field service cap. The khaki cloth cap with peak and leather chin strap has a black oil cloth lined crown and sweatband. The left and right sides of the cap have small brass Regiment button bosses for the chin strap. The crown has some indistinct original white ink lettering and crisp white ink WD arrow mark. The cap is fitted with its original Brass Regiment cap badge. All material is clean and undamaged. The M15 Adrian helmet (French: Casque Adrian) was a combat helmet issued to the French Army during World War 1. It was the first standard helmet of the French Army and was designed when millions of French troops were engaged in trench warfare The later M 1926 helmet was made of a single piece of pressed steel without joining rim and top combe. This is an original WW1 M15 French Adrian Combat Helmet complete with sweatband liner and chinstrap with buckle presented to a WW1 French Army Veteran in memory of the Great War. The helmet is fitted with an original Infantry 'RF' (République Française) helmet badge featuring an armour breast plate & helm and has an ornate brass plate riveted to the brim engraved ‘Soldat De La Grande Guerre (Soldier Of The Great War) 1914-1918’ . The helmet has scuffs and patina consistent with age and retains some of its original dark blue / grey paint finish. It is approx UK size 6 1/2. WW1 M16 /17 German camouflage combat helmets had many paint design variants (see pages 46-95 of Helmets of the First War By Haselgrove & Radovic). This original WW1 German M16 Combat helmet is as found & has not been messed with. It has its original Camouflage sectioned paint pattern in shades of greens and browns sectioned by broad black painted lines. It has no dents and even patina all rivets are in place, one chin strap lug is absent. The helmet retains its original leather headband liner with cloth pads stuffed with horsehair. One pad is ink stamped ‘916’. The helmet has no visible manufacturer and /or size stamps. It is approx. UK size 7. This is an excellent condition, complete, original, WW2, steel 'Tommy' Combat helmet worn by British Infantry. This helmet has its original rough texture sand camo paint as worn by the 8th Army in the North African campaign (the 8th Army was commanded by British Army officers, however its personnel came from Britain & throughout the British Empire and Commonwealth; exiles from German-occupied Europe and units from Australia, British India, Canada, Free French Forces, Greece, New Zealand, Poland, Rhodesia & South Africa). The inner rim of the helmet is stamped ‘SSP’. It has its complete oil cloth sweat band & sprung webbing chinstrap all of which are intact. The helmet has the correct chin strap bales. This is an excellent condition, complete, original, WW2, steel 'Tommy' Combat helmet worn by British Infantry. This helmet has all of its original olive green camo paint and the front has its original Royal Artillery ‘Red & Blue’ Diamond Painted Formation Insignia. There are no visible manufacturer or date stamps on the rim of the helmet but they may be present under the paint. The crown of the helmet has red hand painted letters and numbers which appears to be ‘JK239’ . It has its complete oil cloth sweat band & sprung webbing chinstrap all of which are intact. Korean War 1953 British 3rd Pattern Paratroopers Airborne Jump Helmet By E.B. With Liner & Chin Strap. Sn 15593 - 15593
This is an excellent, complete, original Korean War 1953 dated 3rd Pattern British Paratroopers Jump Helmet (see pages 152 & 153 of British Airborne Headdress By Fischer & Lock). 3rd pattern Jump Helmets were manufactured from 1943 and featured a manganese steel shell with webbing liner & leather chin cup. They 1st saw action on June 6th 1944 for the Normandy Invasion and later saw service in the Korean war. This helmet has just one shallow dent (1” diameter) which can be seen in image 3. Its original green paint has just the scuffs to be expected with age and service use. It has the correct webbing liner & chinstrap with leather cup. The leather sweatband is date stamped '1953' together with manufacturer's mark 'E.B' & size '7 1/8'. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 15593

This is an excellent Victorian 1st West Yorkshire Yeomanry Cavalry nickel plated brass Helmet with correct white horse hair plume, leather sweatband & Link Chin Strap. It has a brass top spike, Tudor rose boss devices to each side to support the velvet backed nickel plated brass link chin. It has a very ornate original helmet plate featuring beaded star with gilt edged wreath, Queen's Crown, brass banner with Regiment name and central Yorkshire rose. It has its original leather sweatband which is clean and undamaged. The helmet has some small minor dents only visible on close inspection & retains its original finish. It is approx UK size 6 1/2. ORIGINAL, WW2 Nazi German Single Luftwaffe Decal M40 Combat Helmet By ‘Q’ (Quist) With Original Liner & Chin Strap. Sn 4987 - 4987
This is an original WW2 Nazi German M40 combat helmet in excellent condition. The helmet retains its dark grey /green paint which has even field / combat wear. It has no dents and all rivets/ pins and steel chin strap bales are correctly in place. The inner skirt of the helmet is very faintly stamped with a letter ‘Q’, the mark of the manufacturer Quist alongside size ‘66’ above number ‘DN475’ (DN was Quist’s patent identification code and 475 is most likely a lot number). The helmet’s single Luftwaffe decal has some surface scuffs consistent with age and service use. The helmet is complete with original undamaged leather liner which has even field/ combat wear and is ink stamped ‘58’. It has its original leather chin strap with buckle. There are no visible manufacturer marks on the chin strap. All leather and stitching are intact. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 4987
