Original, Nazi NSDAP (National Socialist German Workers Party) 2 Piece Construction Arm Band with Nazi Unit Ink Stamp. Sn 20368:7. - 20368:7
The armband was originally adopted to distinguish members of the NSDAP from members of other political parties. This was particularly important for the proto-SA whose only uniform, if they had one, was that of the old Imperial Army or of the various Freekorps of which many were veterans. The Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (the Nazi party) armband was worn on the left upper arm. Its quality depended on the budget of the wearer. This is an excellent, original Nazi Party arm band. The armband is made of blood red cotton material with central stitched white roundel panel & black ink Swastika. The armband has an original Nazi Ink Eagle with Swastika and indistinct German script roundel (illustrated). The edges of the armband and roundel have the correct intricate stitching found on period Nazi items. Our example is a very good two piece with original unit stamp which authorised its issue. See page 108 of Service badges and emblems- Third Reich Cloth Insignia by B.L.Davies & I. Westwell for reference. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 20368:7 (Small flags box)

WWII German Waffen SS Buckle. N 190. - N 190
The belt buckle was an important part of the regalia worn by all uniformed military, civil, political and paramilitary organizations during the Third Reich. The belt (“Koppel”) was part of the uniform and would always be worn while on duty. The belt buckle (“Koppelschloss”) was generally specific to each organization, with many organizations having separate belt buckles for officers and for enlisted personnel, sometimes with different colours and finishes to further denote specific purposes. The buckles were adorned with various mottos and designs specific to the organisations for which they were intended. Many designs used the German national eagle emblem, in a variety of forms. This Waffen SS Buckle is an excellent example of the style of belt buckle made for issue to enlisted men of the SS from the late 1930s until the early part of WWII. The front shows only light wear, and retains lots of detail as well as a light, appealing patina *see images*. The reverse is complete and sound, with an integral catch for the belt hook and a typical roller bar and prongs assembly for attaching it to a belt. The price includes UK delivery. N 190.

The blade is crisply marked with Solingen and has its original leather hilt washer. It has undamaged chequered grips secured with two rivets. The hilt and cross guard are chrome plated. *Matching* Original German WWII D.R.L. Sports Bronze Badge Maker Marked “Wernstein, Jena” and Matching Pin. N 183. - N 183
The creation of a sports badge had already begun in the German Empire . It was Carl Diem who took the initiative to organize “a public award” that was intended as part of “general physical education”. During the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, sports official Diem followed the successful performance of the Swedish and American nations. In doing so, he gained valuable experience that was to be incorporated into his sports badge initiative. On September 29, 1912, Carl Diem submitted a proposal for the “introduction of a German sports badge” to the general meeting of the German Reich Committee for the Olympic Games (DRAFOS) in the Palast Hotel in Berlin . The planned award should be based on the existing models from the USA ( Athletic Badge from 1904) and from Sweden ( Idrotts-Märket from 1907). For this purpose, Diem presented the Swedish material from the Idrotts-Märket to “the representatives of the German gymnastics and sports associations”. This Bronze award is in excellent condition with pin and clasp in good order and is maker marked “Wernstein, Jena” “DRGM 35269”. Original WWII Nazi ‘Wehrpaß’ Military Passport for a Max Jager and NSDAP Armband. N 182. - N 182
The armband was originally adopted to distinguish members of the NSDAP from members of other political parties. This was particularly important for the proto-SA whose only uniform, if they had one, was that of the old Imperial Army or of the various Freekorps of which many were veterans. Many of their political opponents were also veterans and wore the same uniforms and in the frequent street fights between factions, they needed a “field sign” to tell friend from foe. Later armbands became a cheap way for Pary members without a paid party position (and uniform) to indicate their status at political rallies and other functions. In 1939 a new system of armbands was introduced whose designs indicated the wearers party rank. Every soldier of the German Armed Forces, the Wehrmacht was given a Wehrpass, a military passport, upon joining its ranks. It showed your service record, the places where you had fought, the medals you were awarded, and the promotions you received. This armband is in very good order, retaining its colour and stitching. The ‘Wehrpaß’ (Military Passport) for ‘Max Jager’ is in an as equally good condition with the binding, cover and internal pages all intact showing his service records. The price for the pair includes UK delivery. N 182. (Badges/Medals with Documentation Drawer)

WWII German Winter Battle in the East 1941–42 Medal (Eastern Medal) and Ribbon with Certificate to a SS-Sturman Thobias Klinke Dated 1942. N 180. - N 180
The Eastern Medal (German: Ostmedaille), officially the Winter Battle in the East 1941–42 Medal (German: Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42), was a military award of the Wehrmacht which was created by ordinance of Adolf Hitler on 26 May 1942. The Eastern Medal was awarded to any member of the Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS "in recognition of experience in the struggle against the Bolshevik enemy and the Russian winter within the period from 15 November 1941 to 15 April 1942." It was also awarded posthumously to any service member who died in the line of duty within the Soviet Union. The Eastern Medal was designed by SS-Unterscharführer Ernst Krauit.[2] Measuring 3.6 cm (1.4 in) in diameter, of (generally) zinc construction, the medal was given a gun-metal coloured coating. The concave obverse side features a national socialist eagle grasping a swastika with laurel behind. The reverse features the text in capital letters: "WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42" ("Winter Battle in the East 1941–42") featuring a crossed sword and branch below the text. A helmet and stick grenade below the medal loop as well as outer ring were finished in a polished silver effect. The medal measures approximately 44mm by 36mm. The medal and ribbon are in very good order as can be seen in the images. The accompanying owners certificate to SS-Sturmann Thobias Klinke states; Im Namen Des Fuhrers und Obersten Befehlshabers Der Wehrmacht ist Dem (In the name of the Fuhrer and Supreme Commander of the Wehrmacht is Dem). 1, Sturmgeschutz Batterie abteilung Schonberger (Storm protection battery department Schonberger).
