The International University Games ( German : Studenten-Weltspiele ) was an international multi-sport event held between 20–27 August 1939 in Vienna , German Reich (now Vienna, Austria). Many nations were invited to the Vienna games, but most entrants were nations affiliated with the Axis powers . The following countries were reported to have participated in the games: Kingdom of Bulgaria , Estonia , Finland , German Reich , Kingdom of Hungary , Kingdom of Italy , Empire of Japan ,Peru , Slovak Republic , Spanish State , Union of South Africa , Sweden , and Kingdom of Yugoslavia. This is an original heavy construction triangular Nazi pennant of the 1939 Vienna Studenten-Weltspiele . The pennant measures 34 cms x 26cms (including hem rope loops with rings attached). It has no holes or mothing. It is made of thick double sided cloth with intricate stitched edging. One side is black cloth with Nazi quality, expertly embroidered ‘StudentenWeltspiele‘ above Nazi National emblem Eagle with Swastika, 1939 date and ‘Wien’ (Vienna). The other side is red cloth and features an 12.5 cm circular cloth patch with typical expertly stitched edges and black tape Swastika. The black seamed hem of the pennant has its original stitched in rope cord with loop ends which have 2 metal hanging rings attached. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 17525

The centre of both sides features an 12.5 cm circular cloth patch with typical expertly stitched edges and black tape Swastika. It is constructed of lined cotton material and has a blood red background with central stitched white material stitched roundel with black tape swastika The top of the armband has a band of orange material with intricate stitched cogged wheel with swastika devices of the DAF between stitched stripes and either side of ‘Oberlagerfuhrer’ (Camp Leader). In the early 1930’s State Police & Fire Services issued their own buckles bearing State insignia. These buckles were in general alloy with thin insignia plates attached by folding tabs. This is an excellent original 2 piece alloy Westfalen State Police/ Fire Service 2 Piece Alloy Buckle and belt. The front of the pebbled buckle is mounted with the Westfalen State badge secured by the correct 4 folding tabs (see page 326 of German Belt Buckles By Nash). The rear prongs and bar are present and function as they should. There are no manufacturer or date marks on the buckle or belt. The rear prongs and bar are present and function as they should. The buckle has no manufacturer marks. The original period dark brown leather belt is 1 ¾” wide and is 38” in length. This is an excellent original State Of Brunswick Police / Fire buckle and belt. The front of the pebbled aluminium buckle is mounted with the embossed State of Brunswick ‘horse’ roundel with motto ‘Gott Mit Uns’. The rear of the buckle has the correct folded mounting pins (an identical buckle described as being made in the Nazi era is illustrated on page 328 of ‘German Belt Buckles 1845-1945’ by Nash). The rear prongs and bar are present and function as they should. The original period brown leather belt is 1 ¾” wide and is 37 ½” in length. This is an excellent original Nazi Deutsche Reichsbahn aluminium belt buckle with original leather belt tab (see pages 425 & 429 of ‘German Belt Buckles 1845-1945’ by Nash). The front of the buckle has the Deutsche Reichsbahn name and winged wheel insignia. The buckle is undamaged. The rear prongs and bar are present. NAZI GERMAN HUNTING / PRIZE SHOOTING INTEREST : A Pre WW2 German Stag Handled Hunting Dagger By Jacobs & Co Solingen With Rostfrei Blade (Early Stainless Steel) With Scabbard, Integral Belt Loop & 2 Framed Collections Of Assorted Hunting / Shooting Medals - N 504
This hunting dagger and collection of shooting / hunting medals were collected over many years by the same German shooter /hunter in the years before WW2. The dagger has polished stag horn scales secured by rivets and bickel plated pommel and cross guard. One scale is inset with German National Eagle and German text. The single edged steel blade is 5 ½” long and fitted with original leather hilt washer. The blade is undamaged but has light scuffs and staining consistent with age and use. One side of the blade is marked by the manufacturer ‘Jacobs & Co Solingen Solingen GR’ together with ‘Rostfrei’ (‘rust free’ an early form of stainless steel). The dagger is with its original steel scabbard with integral leather belt loop and retaining strap with press stud fastener. The dagger is accompanied by his metal shooting badges and medals, 13 in total together with a linked chain with 8 shooting medallions and 2 bi metal fobs. The medals, badges and medallions are in a variety of metals, some enamelled. All are undamaged, depicting shooting themes, some with German script and one medallion with Swastika. They are contained in 2 wooden display frames mounted on a blue felt background. The frames each measure 11 ½”x 9” x 1”. Both frames are glazed. The glass in one frame is cracked.
