*Rare* WW2 Type 90 Japanese Naval DOUBLE Barrelled Flare / Signal pistol. Sn - 5636 This is a very rare example of an Imperial Japanese Navy double barrelled 28mm Flare/ Signal pistol. Introduced in the Japanese year 2590 (1930), it was given the designation 90 using the last 2 digits of their year. Only 10,300 were ever made and many of those were lost at sea, as a result they are very scarce. This example is in its original, as found condition. The black composite grips are original and complete. The pistol retains its lanyard ring, selector switch, safety switch and barrel opening lever. The rear cocking lever ring is absent. The pistol measures 7 inches overall with 2 x 4 ½ inch barrels. The flare pistol is well marked and along the breech has the markings for Kayaba Seisakusho (Kayaba Manufacturing Co), the Naval anchor and Japanese military inspection mark. The serial number 3320 is stamped on the reciever and the extractor on the barrels. The pistol is complete apart from the cocking lever and has been sympathetically deactivated. **RARE**WW2 Nazi German Army 27mm, ERMA Erfurt Alloy, Trench / Flare Signal Pistol With Open Barrel That Will Accept Inert Rounds & 1 Inert Deactivated 1944 Dated Rauchspurpatrone Rot (Smoke Cartridge Red)**UK 2002 DEACTIVATION COCKS & DRY FIRES**Sn 23026 - 23026 This is a nice, original example of the WW2 Nazi German 27mm Trench / Flare Signal Pistol made by ERMA (Erfurter Maschinenfabrik B. Geipel GmbH, Erfurt). The pistol has some original blue finish. It has finely chequered undamaged bakelite grips and the butt of the grip frame has its original steel military lanyard ring. The left side of the frame is stamped by the maker ERMA ERFURT and ‘E.v br 122’ & number ‘617’ and the left side of the barrel number ‘7697m’. The right side of the barrel is crisply Waffenamt and stamped with the Nazi German Heer / Army Nazi Eagle with Swastika acceptance mark (all illustrated). Deactivated to UK specification in 2002 the signal gun’s barrel is open and will accept inert rounds, it's break action mechanism works correctly & it cocks and dry fires correctly in single action only. The pistol is accompanied by 1 WW2 Dated Inert Deactivated Rauchspurpatrone Flare Cartridge. The alloy case of the round has correct original red identification stripes and original faint ink lettering ‘Rauchspurpatrone Rot (Smoke Cartridge Red) together with 1944 date and Nazi parts maker code ‘sht’. Sn 22426:78 - 22426:78 An original British WW1 brass 1" MK III Trench flare pistol made by Cogswell & Harrison London. It has its original wooden grips (one grip has an old stable crack which can be seen in the images. It is stamped on the left side of the frame by the maker ‘Cogswell & Harrison’ a London maker together with proof inspection marks, War Dept arrow, ’15 (1915 date) and ‘III’ (mark 3 designation). The left side of the barrel has ’16 (1916 inspection mark and WD arrow. The right side is stamped with serial number '52668'. It has a military lanyard ring & breaks, cocks and dry fires crisply. WW2 1942 Australian WD 'CSR' The Colonial Sugar Refinery, Sydney NSW MK III* Brass Signal Flare Pistol. D 1479 - D 1479 An excellent Australian WD WW2 1942 MK III* Brass Signal Flare Pistol manufactured by The Cane Sugar Refinery, Sydney. The pistol has a flared brass end piece and is fitted with undamaged grips with chequered panels. It has crisp manufacturer's 'CSR' Sydney cartouche (Colonial Sugar Refinery Company Sydney New South Wales, see page 56 of The Broad Arrow by Skennerton) together with War Department stamps. '42' (1942) date and 'III*' model detail on the left side of its frame. It also has serial number 9952 & inspection mark on it's right side (all illustrated).
