C1921 German Mauser G98 Rifle made by BRNO Czechslovakia. Sn 7884 - 7884
At the end of WW1 The Treaty of Versailles ordered Germany to disarm and Firearms production in Germany ceased. However German Rifles and munitions continued to be produced in other countries including the Mauser G 98 Rifle. This is a lovely Czech made G 98 Rifle. The breech is crisply stamped by the Czech manufacturer 'BRNO' together with ' CS. ST. Zerojovka'. It is stamped with matching numbers '7442' on the breech & barrel. All wood work is original and in excellent condition. It has a steel butt plate and is fitted with bayonet lug & sling swivels. The weapon cocks & dry fires perfectly. This is an excellent example of the German WW1 rifle made soon after WW1. They are rarely seen. Price for this unusual, collectable weapon includes UK delivery and deactivation certificate. Sn 7844

WW1 American Wooden Ammunition Box For the Browning Model 1917 Heavy Machine Gun. The box was made to hold 30.06 belted ammunition as can be seen in the second photograph. It has a hinged lid which opens upwards and a metal spring loaded catch to lock the lid. The spring catch works smoothly. The box has a serial number stamped on the catch "C 46089" and a further serial number stamped on the hinge "A8792A" The box measures 32cm x 20cm x 12cm. It has a webbing carrying handle. The box is in good complete condition and is undamaged. The price includes Uk delivery.

WW1 German Army Maxim Machine Gun, 7.92mm, Ammunition Box. Sn 7873. - 7873
This is an excellent original WW1 German Army Maxim Machine Gun Ammunition box for 7.92mm Maxim Machine Gun rounds. Apart from superficial scuffs to the body which is to be expected of an original WW1 piece and is consistent with Military use, this Ammo box is in great undamaged condition. It measures 7 3/4" x 15" x 4 1/4 " and is of standard Military construction of wood with sturdy metal band edges. It has it's original recessed, metal bar carry handle and full hinge. It also has it's original push button, sprung closing mechanism and latch which functions perfectly. The lid of the box has original, contemporary white and red paint lettering (illustrated) and the inside of it's lid bears original lettering stamped in black ink ( illustrated).
