1956–1992 Yugoslavian M56 (German MP40) 7.62mm Calibre Sub Machine Gun Folding Stock & Sling**UK 2006 DEACTIVATION CERTIFICATED** Sn 17699:8 - 17699:8
The M56 submachine gun is a Yugoslavian submachine gun chambered in 7.62×25mm Tokarev, designed for use with the Yugoslav People's Army. Initially a state-funded product, it saw use in a number of conflicts following the breakup of former Yugoslavia including the Vietnam War, Lebanese Civil War & Gulf War. The M56 is a clone of the Nazi German WW2 MP 40 submachine gun, easily distinguished from the MP 40 by its increased length and curved magazine. While inexpensive to produce and easy to maintain, the M56 also proved to be quite effective at range over its German counterpart; its 7.62 mm cartridge providing significantly more penetration over the 9×19mm round found in the MP 40.This is an excellent, M56 sub machine gun. Deactivated to UK specification in 2006 the weapon’s trigger moves, The cocking handle marked ‘Ukoc’ (brake) & ‘Otkoc’ (unbreak) rotates as it should and its magazine can be removed. This example has excellent metal work throughout, with folding stock that fits snugly and functions perfectly as it should. It has the correct grooved plastic grips and plastic stock. The rear of the breech housing is stamped with Yugoslavian crest and number ‘E-71365’. The weapon has other un-matching stamped codes which are most likely parts / stores numbers. The breech has a hand etched number ‘71365’ which matches the breech housing number. The bottom of the magazine has a stores/ parts number (numbers illustrated in image 2). A British police force served Hong Kong since shortly after the island was established as a colony in 1841. During World War II, Japan occupied Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Police Force was temporarily disbanded. The 1950s saw the commencement of Hong Kong's 40-year rise to global prominence, during which time the Hong Kong Police tackled many issues that have challenged Hong Kong's stability. The Royal Hong Kong Police Force (RHKPF) reverted to its former name Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) after the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong from the United Kingdom to People's Republic of China in 1997. This is a very good .38 Calibre Smith & Wesson Military & Police 1914 patent revolver marked ‘HK’ to The Hong Kong Police. It has a 4" barrel & fixed sights. The pistol has undamaged wood grips with S&W roundels. The butt is holed for military/police lanyard ring (absent). It is stamped along the barrel with the Smith & Wesson, manufacturer's name and 1914 patent detail. The right side of the frame has the 'S&W’ Trade mark logo and ‘Made In USA’. The grip frame & cylinder are stamped with serial number 664601 and its has other numbers (illustrated). The grip frame is stamped ‘HKP’ to the Hong Kong Police above armoury weapon number ‘77’. Deactivated to very early UK specification in 1993 the pistol has a pinned barrel, open, cut cylinders that will accept inert rounds and it cocks and dry fires in both single & double action. Webley & Scott introduced the Model 1912 automatic hammerless pocket pistol in 1912 to compete with Colt-Browning designs of that era. Although strictly a pocket pistol due to its diminutive size small leather holsters were also used to carry these pistols. These pistols were the smallest and lightest of the Webley Auto range of pistols. The pistol is serial number ‘132150’ which dates its manufacture to 1920 (see pages 222 to 232 of Webley & Scott Automatic Pistols by Bruce).This is a good original example with correct internal hammer, correct chequered stock plates which have no cracks or chips. It has open sights & original 6 round magazine which is released by pressing a button on the bottom of the frame between the grips, this operates as it should. On the left side of the pistol it has Webley & Scott name, calibre detail, Webley winged bullet trade mark and ‘Safe’ above the frame mounted safety catch lever. The grip strap has serial number ‘132150’. Deactivated to UK/EU specification in 2018, the pistol’s slide, trigger & safety catch move and the magazine can be removed. The Mauser, Model 712, Schnellfeuer ( Rapid Fire) was manufactured by Mauser Werk in Germany from 1932 to 1938 (see page 317 of Axis Pistols Vol 2 By Still). It was the fully automatic version of the model 1896 (C96). In 1940 Large numbers of this pistol were procured by the Luftwaffe for Motorcycle Messengers and Anti Aircraft Corps. This is nice, original and rare to find example of the Schnellfeuer made by Mauser. It has undamaged metalwork with even patina throughout. It has undamaged grooved ‘broomhandle’ wood grips. It has a 5 ½” barrel, blade shaped block fore sight and adjustable tangent rear sight. The right side of the frame features the correct thumb operated fire mode selector switch and safety catch. The top of the frame is stamped 'Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf A/N' and has a small inspection mark. The frame is also signed ‘'Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf A.Neckar D.R.P.u.A.P.’. The pistol is serial number 84293 & is complete with original magazine. The base of the magazine is crisply stamped with the Mauser Trademark. Deactivated to early UK specification in 1990 the pistol cocks & dry fires crisply and the magazine can be removed. The price for this rare pistol includes deactivation certificate and UK delivery. This is an excellent WW1 1918 dated SMLE No.1 Mk III* .303 calibre rifle. The rifle has good condition woodwork throughout together with nice clear date & manufacturer's stamps. The breech is stamped at the wrist GR with King’s Crown BSA Co 1918 SHT L.E III*. The rifle is complete with stripper clip loading bridge, winged fore sight and adjustable rear sight with wing protectors. The rifle also has a brass butt plate with trap and original webbing sling. Deactivated to UK specification it cocks, strips and dry fires and the magazine can be removed. The rifle is serial number J 90661 which is stamped on the breech. The rifle comes with an original British WW2 dated Pattern 1907 bayonet complete with scabbard. The ricasso of the bayonet is stamped by the manufacturer 'WSC' (Wilkinson Sword Company) and King’s Crown together 1907 (pattern) and 9 42 (September 1942 date). The reverse is stamped with WD inspection marks. The blade has just light staining consistent with age and its slab wood grips have just the knocks bumps and bruises to be expected. This is an excellent Cold War / Vietnam War Era Chinese Jianshe Arsenal (State Factory 26) Semi Automatic carbine (these rifles were a variant of the Russian Simonov SKS-45 7.62 x 39mm, Semi Automatic rifle designed by Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov. Production of the Russian SKS commenced in 1946. The weapons were Widely used throughout the Communist block and China who began producing their own variants designated the Type 56 which saw service throughout the Cold War and Vietnam war. It is 40 ½” overall length with a 20” barrel and has a hinged box magazine. The gun retains most of its original blued finish and has all its original wood work with just knocks bumps and bruises to be expected . The gun has the correct folding bayonet, steel butt plate with hinged trap, sling swivel, sling bar, shrouded fore sight and adjustable rear sight. The left side of the breech has the triangular arsenal mark with 26 of the Jianshe Arsenal 26 (also known as State Factory 296) and Soviet/ Chinese script letters together with serial number 22005285 which dates it to 1956 – 1958. The number 05258 is repeated on the bolt, breech housing, magazine and the wooden butt. The 12” clean cruciform bayonet with typical chisel tip folds and locks in place as it should. Deactivated to UK/EU specification in 2023, the guns bolt cycles, the trigger moves and the magazine hinges downwards. The price includes UK delivery and UK/EU deactivation certificate. D 5985

An original Steyr G88 Commission Rifle with original cleaning rod and sling swivels. These iconic rifles were issued to Imperial German Forces during WW1 (see a Collector’s Guide To The German Gew 88 Commission Rifle by Paul Scarlata). The rifle is in nice condition with good original undamaged woodwork. The stock has a steel butt plate. It has a ladder rear sight and block & blade fore sight. It is rare to find these weapons in their original condition without conversion to charger loading. This example has not been converted. The receiver is stamped with "Gew 88" and "OEWG (Österreichische Waffenfabriksgesellschaft 'Austrian Arms-Manufacturing Company’) Steyr " together with 1894 date and proof marks. The muzzle ring is stamped with Regiment marks "G.F.R.11.14" To The Garde Fusilier Reserve Regiment, 11th Kompagnie, Weapon Number 14. Deactivated to UK specification in 2007 the rifle cocks and dry fires. The weapon is complete with an original G88 rifle bayonet. The bayonet has a 9 ¾” single edged blade with fuller. The clean blade is marked at the ricasso with the combined 'OEWG' Steyr mark. It's steel cross guard is stamped '3514'. Its slab wood grips are undamaged and the pommel's steel push button release catch functions perfectly. The bayonet has its original steel scabbard with frog bar. The scabbard has no dents. The Carcano M1891 rifle gave excellent service throughout the First Word War where Italy participated on the Allied side, fighting mainly against Austria. The M1891 rifle was manufactured at Italian Arsenals including Terni in 1915. This is an excellent original example of the M1891 captured by the Austrian Army during WW1. Its wood stock & metalwork are very good and all original. It is equipped with sling swivels fitted with leather sling, bayonet lug, adjustable rear sight, fixed block & blade foresight and steel butt plate. The breech is stamped Terni (Arsenal) and has additional Austrian Arsenal marks indicating that this is a WW1 captured weapon. Deactivated to early UK specification in 1996 the rifle cocks & dry fires. The rifle is accompanied by an original carcano knife bayonet which fits the rifle correctly. The bayonet's slab wood grips are undamaged and it has a steel cross guard with muzzle ring. The 11 ½” fullered single edged blade is clean and undamaged. The bayonet has its original leather scabbard with brass mounts. The scabbard is fitted with an original leather frog with single belt loop. The Hakim Rifle is a gas operated semi-automatic rifle. It was originally designed by Sweden and produced as the AG-42 Ljungman for the Swedish Army. The tooling and design were later sold to Egypt and the Hakim was produced there during the 1950s and 1960s. There were approx 70,000 made in Egypt. These rifles were issued to Egyptian Military during the Suez crisis and this is most probably a captured weapon from that conflict. The rifle has a 10-round removable box magazine, with latching magazine release catch. It has an unusual cocking action in that the bolt moves forward to open the breech. This is an excellent with all original wood and metalwork. It has a 'cutts compensator' type muzzle flash suppressor and shrouded foresight. The left side of the breech is stamped with Arabic text and the right side 'Hakim 7.9mm Made In Egypt' (illustrated). Deactivated to early UK specification in 1994 the rifle cocks and dry fires and the magazine can be removed. It is complete with an original knife bayonet with double edged 8 ½” blade and slab wood grips. The bayonet has its original steel scabbard which has no dents. This is an Italian made copy of an American heavy barrelled percussion Hawken style Plaines hunting rifle. These rifles were popular on the American frontier for hunting and defence. The .50 calibre gave a good stopping power for their time and their shorter barrel was handy in the outback. The rifles usually had a heavy octagonal barrel, and had strong half stocked one piece woodwork. The barrel is held in with a hook and wedge system which made it easier to clean the barrel after use. The rifle is fitted with a heavy octagonal steel barrel and a brass patch box, trigger guard and butt plate. The rifle is fitted with a brass tipped ramrod. The action has been deactivated so the gun is for display purposes only. The gun was deactivated to UK/EU specification in 2023. The price includes UK delivery and deactivation certificate. D 5983
