This is a German WW2, 1941 dated 32 round magazine for the Schmeiser MP40 sub machine gun used extensively by elite German troops in WW2 including the paratroopers and platoon leaders. The magazine is in excellent condition with no dents to the surface. The magazine is stamped near to the bottom MP.38u.40. The rear of the magazine is stamped 98e 41 (1941 date) and 3 waffenampt stamps including 382, 616 and one lightly stamped. The magazine retains most of its original blued finish and the magazine has a strong spring pressure on the follower. This is an excellent SMLE No.1 Mk III* .303 calibre rifle. It has crisp date, Crown GR (George Rex), model designation, 1918 date and manufacturer name ‘BSA Co’ at the steel grip strap (illustrated). The rifle is serial number J48820 and has other un-matching numbers. It has its original front sight and rear sight arrangement with wing protectors. It has a brass butt plate with trap, bayonet lug & bridge for stripper clip loading. Its sling swivels are fitted with webbing sling. Its all original woodwork has just light bumps and bruises to be expected with age and service use. The shoulder stock is inlaid with void brass roundel. The iconic British army Enfield Pattern 1853 rifle-musket was a .577 calibre Minié-type muzzle-loading rifled musket, used by the British Empire from 1853 to 1867; after which many were replaced in service by the cartridge-loaded Snider–Enfield rifle. The British Pattern 1853 Enfield was a widely used infantry arm in the American Civil War, with nearly a million imported by both the Union and Confederate armies, making it the second most common long arm after the Springfield. It was particularly prized by the Confederacy, who imported more Enfields than any other foreign small arm, but Union forces also purchased them to supplement their own rifle-muskets. The rifles were recreated in the modern era in quality live firearms quality weapons by Italian Firearms companies. This Italian made Pattern 1853 rifle is a faithful live firing black powder replica of the Pattern 1853. Deactivated to an early UK/EU specification in 2017, the weapon’s barrel is blocked & it cocks and dry fires making it an excellent display or re-enactment piece. It has a 39” blued barrel and measures 55” overall. The barrel has inspection marks resembling period English proof marks and is numbered 86754. The rifle has brass furniture and excellent woodwork. The rifle’s metal work retains all of its blue finish. The rifle has a block fore sight and adjustable ladder rear sight. It has sling swivels fitted with leather sling and blued steel ram rod. The colour case hardened action plate is stamped with Queen’s crown & ‘London Armoury Company’ similar to markings found on original pattern 1853 rifles. The butt plate tang has ‘U.S’ (Army mark) and Regiment marks ‘6 KY E’ commemorating Enfield’s involvement in supplying weapons to Civil war, Union Army forces. The FN Browning M1900 is a single action, semi-automatic pistol designed C 1896 by John Browning for Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (FN) and produced in Belgium at the turn of the century. It was the first production handgun to use a slide. United States President Theodore Roosevelt owned a M1900, which he regularly kept on his person and in his bedside drawer. Eugen Schauman used an M1900 (serial number unknown) in his 1904 assassination of the Russian Governor-General of Finland at the time, Nikolai Ivanovich Bobrikov. This is an excellent example of the Browning Model 1900 in 7.65mm calibre. The pistol has its original finish with nice patina throughout. The matching serial numbers 658931 are stamped on the frame, slide and rear sight block. The pistol has a blade foresight and bakelite grips with 'FN' roundels. The left side of the pistols slide and frame are marked with crisp manufacturer detail and inspection / proof marks (illustrated). The left side of the frame also has a thumb lever safety catch and the butt is fitted with a fixed Military/Police lanyard ring. The Colt M1873 Single Action Army/ Peacemaker was a single action revolver designed for the U.S. Government by Colt. The revolvers were adopted as the U.S. Army standard military service revolver until 1892 and were favoured by Early Law Enforcement Officers. The Colt Buntline Special was a long-barreled variant of the Colt Single Action Army revolver, which Stuart N. Lake described in his best-selling but largely fictionalized 1931 biography, Wyatt Earp: Frontier Marshal. According to Lake, the dime novelist Ned Buntline commissioned the production of five Buntline Specials. Lake described them as extra-long Colt Single Action Army revolvers. The Colt design lives on today in the form of quality live firing pistols true to the original Colt pistols, made in a variety of calibres from Italian manufacturers such as Pedersoli, Uberti, Pietta and Euroarms. This large frame Buntline .44 calibre revolver is side gate loading and has a captive ejector rod. The pistol retains all of its original blue & colour case hardened factory finish. It has undamaged wood grips. It has a 7 ½” barrel with blade foresight and the rear sight is a groove on top of the cylinder frame. The pistol measures 13” overall. The barrel is marked ‘Black Powder Only Cal .44 Made In Italy’. The pistol has proofs and 1871 -1872 patent detail as found on original Colt revolvers. The pistols serial number is E60746 which is stamped on the underside of the frame. Deactivated to UK specification in 2004 the pistol’s blued cylinder is cut and ringed and the barrel blocked, its sprung captive ejector rod moves and the side gate opens. WW1, U.S. Army Remington (ERA) & WW2 British Home Guard Issue P14 .303 Calibre Rifle & Bayonet. **Early 1987 UK DEACTIVATION CERTIFICATED** Sn - 22921
This is an excellent WW1 & WW2 .303 calibre P14 Rifle. These rifles were used by American Forces in WW1 and issued to British Home Guard (HG) Units in WW2. The original woodwork has just light bumps and bruises to be expected with age and service use. The metal work is undamaged. The breech is stamped by the American manufacturer ERA (Remington) together with the serial number 421465. The action has British inspection mark ‘King’s Crown GR’ (George rex) indicating WW2 British HG issue. The rifle is fitted with a flip up rear sight, winged fore sight & part of its long range volley sights on the fore stock. The stock has a steel butt plate fitted with an oil bottle trap, sling swivels and bayonet lug. The rifle is fitted with a P17 bayonet which is stamped on the ricasso P1917 Remington (maker) US and the ordnance stamp. The deactivated rifle cocks and dry fires & the safety catch works. Indian Army, SMLE No.1 Mk III*, 1955 Dated, .303 Calibre Rifle. **1986 UK DEACTIVATION CERTIFICATED**. Sn - 22922
The Indian Army used Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) rifles, which were manufactured at the Ishapore Arsenal starting in 1905, initially producing early SMLE patterns and later the more common No. 1 Mk III. After World War I, India continued to produce and utilize SMLEs, eventually developing the Rifle 7.62mm 2A/2A1 in the 1960s, a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO and based on the SMLE action. The SMLE Mk III*, renamed the Rifle No. 1 Mk III* in 1926. This is an excellent Indian Army SMLE No.1 Mk III* .303 calibre rifle deactivated to UK specification in June 1986. The rifle was made at Ishapore Arsenal in 1955 and is identical to the SMLE rifles made in WW1. The breech is stamped at the wrist R.F.I (Royal Factory Ishapore) and the serial number 15980 is stamped on the bolt and the right hand side of the breech. The seft hand side of the breech is stamped with the Indian proof marks. The rifle is complete with stripper clip loading bridge, winged fore sight and adjustable rear sight with wing protectors. The rifle also has a brass butt plate with trap and original webbing sling. The right hand side of the butt carries a roundel with 509 over a crowfoot. The woodwork in in good condition with only minor bumps and knocks from service use. The metal work retains much of its original blued finish. Deactivated to UK specification in 1986, the rifle cocks, strips and dry fires and the magazine can be removed. This is an original WW1 Springfield Model 1903 made at the Springfield Armoury with a serial number dating it to 1918. The rifle retains all of its original features to the woodwork. The M1903 Springfield, formally the United States Rifle, Calibre .30-06, Model 1903, is an American clip loaded, 5 shot, bolt-action service rifle used primarily during the first half of the 20th century. It was officially adopted as a United States military bolt action rifle on June 19, 1903 and was not replaced as the standard infantry rifle by the faster firing semi-automatic 8 round M1 Garand starting in 1937. The M1903 Springfield remained in service as a standard issue infantry rifle during World War 2, since the U.S. entered the war without sufficient M1 rifles to arm all troops. It also remained in service as a sniper rifle during World War 2, the Korean War, and even in the early stages of the Vietnam War. This rifle is dated by the serial number to 1918 rifle is in excellent condition. The metalwork is undamaged with original finish, and its woodwork retains the original high stocked stock near the front of the bolt and the early high handguard with the short sight channel. The woodwork is in good condition with the usual minor bumps and knocks from service use. The breech is crisply stamped 'U.S. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY MODEL 1903 PAOD and the serial number 949915. The rifle has a blade fore sight with the original sight protector and the original Model 1905 adjustable rear sight graduated to 2700 yards.
