**SLEEPER**AS FOUND**ORIGINAL**WW2 Era 1935 Pattern Alcoso (Alex Coppel Solingen) German Army Officer's Dagger, Crossguard With Monogram ‘RH’, Scabbard With Bullion Cord, Portepee & DRGM Marked Hangers. Sn 22058 - 22058
An excellent, as found, original, 1935 pattern German Army Officer's Dagger and Scabbard with original accessories set. The dagger’s blade has the Alcoso Solingen name & trademark (unlike other manufacturers Alcoso Daggers were made with parts that were not interchangeable with other Daggers of the same pattern). It has a distinctive 'Eagle with Swastika' design cross guard and correct ivory hue 'phenol resin' grip with ornate oak leaf decorated pommel. The cross guard and one side of its clean, undamaged blade has period hand etched monogram initials ‘RH’ most likely the initials of the Nazi officer who was originally issued with this dagger (the white lines seen on the blade in image 3 are merely reflection of light during photography not scratches, damage or stains). The ribbed handle has no damage. It is complete with original scabbard which is decorated with a 'hammered' design and 2 hanging ring mounts with matching oak leaf decoration. The mounts are fitted with original hanging rings. The scabbard has no damage or dents. The hilt is fitted with its original bullion cord & Portepee which are clean & complete . It’s original hangers have bullion stitching & green velvet backing. The hangers have buckles, sprung clips and bar. The buckle rings have oak leaf decoration. **RAREST MAKER OF 1933 PATTERN DAGGERS**ORIGINAL**EARLY PRODUCTION**WW2 Era Nazi German Robert Klaas Solingen 1933 Pattern SS Man’s Dagger With SS Runes, Motto Etched Blade & Scabbard. Sn 22065 - 22065
This is a rare original 1933 pattern SS Man’s Dagger and scabbard. All ranks of the SS were authorised to wear these daggers (see pages 48 & 49 of Johnson’s book Collecting The Edged Weapons Of The Third Reich Vol 1). The blade of this example is crisply marked with the Nazi manufacturer’s trademark of Robert Klaas Solingen and is without RZM marks indicating early production (Rich Abr Herder made only circa 1,000 1933 pattern daggers and are rated rarity 10 (10 being the rarest) in ‘The service daggers of the SA & The NSKK’ by Siegert). The blade has the correct "Meine Ehre Heist Treue" (my honour is loyalty) etched Blade. The blade is clean with no damage. The black wooden grip is original and undamaged apart from a small fine stable surface crack on one side near to the pommel cap which can be seen in image 2 . The Nazi German National Emblem and 'SS' runes roundel are original and secure. It has a Nickel plated cross guard & pommel. The dagger is complete with its original anodised black metal scabbard which has just one small light pin point dent on one side. **AS FOUND ULSTER SHED FIND**WW2 Era Nazi German Luftwaffe 2nd Pattern Officer's Dagger By Robert Klaas Solingen & Scabbard. Sn 21978:7 - 21978:7
An original, 2nd Pattern Luftwaffe Officer's Dagger & Scabbard in un-touched condition found hanging on a nail in a Garden shed in Ulster Northern Ireland since the end of WW2. The dagger’s blade has just areas of light staining consistent with age. The blade is marked with the ‘Robt (Robert) Klaas Solingen name and trademark. It has the correct distinctive 'Luftwaffe Eagle with Swastika' design cross guard and ivory colour 'phenol resin' grip aged on one side to orange hue (due to just one side being exposed to light while mounted on the shed wall for many years). It has ornate Oak leaf decorated, hilt mount and pommel. The Swastika pommel and Eagle cross guard have even aged patina and the wire binding on the grip is tight and intact. Its original scabbard is decorated with a 'hammered' design with Oak leaf panel at the lower section and has 2 hanging ring mounts with Oak leaf decoration. This is a fine German-made fixed blade knife which has a fold-out gutting blade, saw/screwdriver, button hook and a corkscrew. Weidmannsheil Wilh. Weltersbach Solingen Germany with the company motif is etched to the blade, which appears to have been resharpened. The knife has a fine undamaged Sambar stag handle which has a gold-coloured motif embedded within the handle. Each attached blade/tool is stamped. This knife measures 22cm overall, the blade itself measures 12cm. The leather sheath has a fold over securing tab *intact with minor split*. The price includes UK delivery. ED 2397. WW1 / WW2 Imperial German Army Mercator (Heinrich Kaufmann, Indiwerk, Solingen), DRGM Taschenmesser Trench Dagger / Utility Clasp Lock knife. Sn 21597 - 21597
Taschenmesser Clasp Lock knives were popular amongst Imperial German troops during WW1 due to their locking blade which allowed them to used as a fighting knife. Many saw service throughout both World Wars. (see page 33 item 123 of Stephen's book 'Fighting Knives'. This example is in very good condition. The knife’s single edged blade is 4" length & locks in place securely. The thumb operated locking bar works perfectly. The ricasso of the blade is crisply marked by the manufacturer 'MERCATOR' on one side and the reverse ‘Solingen’ (a trading name of the company of Heinrich Kaufmann, Indiwerk, Solingen). The blackened steel grip frame is crisply marked with the 'DRGM' quality mark and by the maker ‘Mercator’. The butt of the grip is fitted with steel lanyard ring. An original WWI German Trench Knife and Metal Scabbard (A trench knife is a combat knife designed to kill or incapacitate an enemy at close quarters, such as in a trench or other confined area. It was developed as a close combat weapon for soldiers attacking enemy trenches during the First World War. An example of a World War I trench knife is the German Army's Nahkampfmesser (close combat knife). This is a smooth handle variant. The smooth wooden grips are secured with three rivets *service wear to the tip on both sides*. The single edged, polished steel blade measures 5 ½" and has a "Z" inside a crest indicating manufacture by Clement & Jung stamped on the ricasso on one side, and an inspection stamp to the other. The scabbard is steel and is missing its leather strap which was riveted to it and incorporated a belt loop. The price includes UK delivery. 8424:45.

A nice original WWI German trench/fighting knife and steel scabbard. The knife is a hunting style variant and features a carved wood simulated stag-horn hilt (see page 40, plate 177 of Steven's book 'Fighting Knives'). The dagger has a German silver pommel cap, ribbed ferrule and 'wave' cross guard. The hilt is one piece, carved wood to simulate stag-horn. The blade is 6" in length, double edged with a medial ridge. The blade has some areas of light staining consistent with age. It is 11" overall. **RARE** Nazi German / WW2 Era, Brass Handled Kriegsmarine Diver's Knife By J.A. Henckels Solingen With ‘Drop Point Steel Blade, Screw Thread Hilt & Brass Scabbard. Sn 21559 - 21559
This is a rare, original, Nazi era Diver's knife and scabbard as used by Kriegsmarine divers in excellent condition. Made by J.A. Henckels the famous Solingen cutler, the knife has a broad 7 ½” long single edged blade with drop point & measures 13 ½” overall. The clean blade has the German manufacturer’s trademark which belongs to J.A. Henckels. It has a heavy brass hilt ribbed for grip and integral threaded brass ferrule which securely screws into the throat of its scabbard. The knife is complete with original solid brass scabbard with integral cast belt bar. The tube shaped brass scabbard is undamaged with no dents. It was developed as a close combat weapon for soldiers attacking enemy trenches during the First World War) with a stunning horn grip *minor damage to horn near base of grip as seen in image 2* and ‘S’ shaped quillon above ferrule and below pommel which appear to be German silver, as do the scabbard mounts on the leather scabbard.
