Original WW2 Era British 2nd Pattern Nickel Plated Officer’s 'Sterile' Fairbairn Sykes FS Commando Fighting Knife Later Post War Re-Finished & Engraved ‘In Commemoration Of The Victory Of El-Alamien (Alamein Incorrectly Spelt) & Scabbard. ED 2545 - ED 2545
2nd Pattern Fairbairn Sykes 'FS' Fighting Knives were introduced in 1941. This is an original WW2 Officer’s 2nd pattern, FS dagger and scabbard. Examples of Nickel plated FS daggers are illustrated in Chapter 7 of ‘The Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife & Other Commando Knives’ by Flook. The dagger has the correct nickel plated brass knurled handle & oval cross guard. The knife is ‘sterile’ with no manufacturer or Unit marks. The knife has been re-finished post war & the blade engraved ‘In Commemoration Of The Victory Of El-Alamien (Alamein Incorrectly Spelt). The blade is 166 mm long with medial ridge. The plating on the blade has blemishes. Its scabbard has a nickel plated chape and integral belt with elastic retaining strap & 4 sewn on leather tabs. The price includes UK delivery. ED 2545
