WW1 U.S. Fighting/ Trench Combat Knife By Case Cutlery Co & Leather Scabbard. Sn 12456 - 12456
The Case Cutlery Company USA made stiletto type fighting knives during WW1. They were often privately purchased by American soldiers (see page 63 plate 296 of Fighting Knives by Stephens). This is an original Case Cutlery fighting knife and scabbard. The knife has a single edge 6 ¼” blade, with an overall length of 10 ¼”. The original grips are wood secured by 3 rivets. The ricasso is stamped by the manufacturer ‘Case’. It is complete with its original riveted and stitched brown leather scabbard with integral belt loop and retaining strap with press stud fastener. WW2 U.S Cattaraugus 225Q ' Quartermasters' Fighting Utility Knife And Sheath. ED 2393 - ED 2393
During WW2 Quartermaster staff needed a heavy duty combat knife which was strong enough to open ammunition boxes and crates. The American Company Cattaraugus produced the 225Q (Q for Quartermaster), which because of their strength, soon found their way into regular service as a combat knife ( see page 67 Of U.S Military Knives By Cole & page 123 of US Military Knives Collectors Guide By Silvey & Boyd). This is a nice original example. It has a sturdy, broad single edged fullered 6 1/4" blade (10 ½” inches overall). The ricasso is crisply engraved with the 'Cattaraugus' signature legend and designation '225Q'. The blade has some areas of staining consistent with age. Its banded handle made from compressed leather washers is in good condition with just service wear to be expected. It has a steel finger guard and large oval steel pommel with flat chequered end. The knife is complete with original leather sheath with stud fastening retaining strap which functions perfectly and integral belt loop. Price includes UK delivery. ED 2393

WW2 Era U.S. Kinfolk's Fighting / Utility Knife With Leather Scabbard. ED 2348 - ED 2348
An original U.S. Kinfolk's made Fighting utility Knife. These knives were the 1930-1940 forerunner of the MK 1 USN (United States Navy) fighting knife ( see pages 166-167 of Knives Of The United States Military WW2). It has a clean 5" single edged clip point blade with fuller & measures 9 1/2" overall. It's compressed leather washer handle is undamaged. The ricasso is crisply marked 'Kinfolk's Inc'. The knife is complete with original leather scabbard with large belt loop and single retaining strap with press stud fastener. An excellent WW2 US Camillus M3 Fighting Knife & Un issued condition M8 Scabbard With Integral Frog By BM Co. The blade is stamped "US M3 Camillus". The compressed leather ringed handle and blade are undamaged. The top of the pommel has the 'ignited grenade' Frankford Arsenal mark. The pommel is double pinned. The knife is complete with original green plastic M8 scabbard with integral green webbing frog which has a single retaining strap and press stud fastener. The upper mount of the scabbard is stamped 'USM8' & by the manufacturer 'BM Co'. The scabbard is fitted with it's original leather thigh cord which has never been uncoiled. An American Post WW2 private purchase Military Fighting Knife. (see page 120 item 609 of Fighting Knives By Stephens). This knife by an unknown manufacturerer has black synthetic grips secured to the tang by 3 rivets. The ferrule and cross guard are made of brass. This rugged knife has a 6" Bowie type blade which is clean and 1 1/2" wide. It measures 12" overall and is complete with a later proffesionally made scabbard made of thick black leather. A WW 2 American Navy and Marine Corps. Utility Knife Mk 2 Pattern (Ka-Bar) introduced in 1943. The knife has an aluminium pommel. It has a 5 inch polished single edge blade and has 'K-Bar Olean N.Y.' on the ricasso (illustrated). It has a smooth 4" handle made from compressed leathwer washers. The attractive handle is in excellent condition as is it's cross guard and rounded aluminium pommel. The knife is complete with original leather sheath with stud fastening retaining strap. An Original WW2 American Cattaraugus Commando Fighting Knife Pattern 225G and Brown leather scabbard. This knife was described by Cattaraugus in their advertisements as a commando knife. It measure 10 1/2" overall with a 6" single edged polished blade. It has a leather washer grip, the butt is made up of three steel washers and has a chequered top. The blade ricasso is stamped with "Cattaraugus 225Q" The scabbard is brown leather and is folded over to form a belt loop. It has a leather retaining loop secured with a press stud. The scabbard is stitched and has 8 small rivets along the stitched line as reinforcement. The price includes Uk delivery.

WW2 U.S EGW Combat / Fighting Knife And Sheath. Sn 7107. - 7107
'EGW' U.S. Military Fighting Knives were produced in the U.S.A by E.G. Waterman during WW2. Many variations were made with both wood and leather handles. ( see page 165 of U.S. military Knives Collector's Guide By Silvey & Boyd'. This example with wood 7 grooved handle is in nice original condition. There is a single small 'stress' drying split in the wood which is otherwise perfect. It has a broad 5" single edged clean blade (10" overall) with the 'built in' bottle opener towards the top of the blade. Essential for enemy bottles of beer and coke. The ricasso is correctly stamped 'EGW KNIFE'. ( illustrated). The handle is in nice condition with steel pommel and lanyard ring.
