A Victorian 1884-85 hallmarked silver bladed pocket knife with mother of pearl slabs and engraved silver mounts. The slabs are made from quality pieces of mother of pearl and have a very nice appearance. The slabs are secured with three pins. One slab has an inlaid name plate with "H.D" engraved on it. The knife is silver mounted with ornately engraved ends. It has a full length hallmarked silver blade hallmarked to 1884-85. (see one of the photographs). The blade is in excellent condition and is firm and locks out without any play. It measures 70mm and the knife measures 90mm closed and 160mm open. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 11478:1

WW2 U.S Cattaraugus 225Q ' Quartermasters' Fighting Utility Knife And Sheath. ED 2393 - ED 2393
During WW2 Quartermaster staff needed a heavy duty combat knife which was strong enough to open ammunition boxes and crates. The American Company Cattaraugus produced the 225Q (Q for Quartermaster), which because of their strength, soon found their way into regular service as a combat knife ( see page 67 Of U.S Military Knives By Cole & page 123 of US Military Knives Collectors Guide By Silvey & Boyd). This is a nice original example. It has a sturdy, broad single edged fullered 6 1/4" blade (10 ½” inches overall). The ricasso is crisply engraved with the 'Cattaraugus' signature legend and designation '225Q'. The blade has some areas of staining consistent with age. Its banded handle made from compressed leather washers is in good condition with just service wear to be expected. It has a steel finger guard and large oval steel pommel with flat chequered end. The knife is complete with original leather sheath with stud fastening retaining strap which functions perfectly and integral belt loop. Price includes UK delivery. ED 2393

RARE, WW2 Italian Fighting Knife Constructed In Part from The 2nd Pattern Italian fascist, MVSN (Milizia Voluntaria Sicurezza Nationale) Dagger With WW1 Austro Hungarian Form Trench knife Blade & Steel Scabbard. ED 2389 - ED 2389
This is an excellent original WW2 Italian Fighting Knife & Scabbard. These knives have blades similar to WW1 Austro Hungarian trench/ fighting daggers and were constructed In Part from The 2nd Pattern Italian fascist, MVSN Dagger (see page 75 plates 376-377 of Stephen’s book ‘Fighting Knives’). The knife has an 8 ¼” single edged blade which has no damage and just light staining consistent with age. It measures 13 ¼” overall. It has the correct contoured wood handle with rivetsand oval steel cross guard. The knife is complete with its original steel scabbard with fixed steel belt loop. This is an original WW1 Era German Trench Dagger. It has a Stag Horn handle with German Silver pommel cap which is hand etched with unit mark 'A3'. It also has a German Silver ferrule. The knife has a 4" single edged blade nicely marked 'Garantiert Stahl'. The point of the blade has a small nick. It measures 8 1/2" overall. Post 1900, Large Folding Pen Knife With German Silver & Mother Of Pearl Scales Engraved With Cyrillic/ Hebrew Script By Walker & Hall Sheffield. Sn 10789 - 10789
The Sheffield based Cutler George Walker is recorded as operating as a 'knife forger' in 1845. In 1853 the firm was joined by Henry Hall of Worcester and became 'Walker & Hall' based at the Elecro Works in Howard Street, Sheffield. Walker & Hall are believed to have been the biggest employer in the cutlery trade prior to WW1 (see page 284 of The Sheffield Knife Book by Tweedale). This is an excellent folding pen knife by Walker and Hall made post 1900. It has a clean 4 1/2" single edged folding blade and measures 9 3/4" when open. The blade is marked by the manufacturer 'Walker & Hall Sheffield'. It has German Silver scales inset with attractive undamaged Mother Of Pearl sections which are engraved on one side with Cyrillic/ Hebrew Script which is worthy of further research. Currently Unavailable Late 1800's- Early 1900's, Malayan Native Dagger With Ornate Antique Ivory Or Bone Handle With Hand Forged Acid Wash Blade & Brass Mounted Hardwood Scabbard. Sn 10680 - 10680
The kris is a type of dagger, often with a pistol-gripped shaped handle. Traditionally worn as a status symbol and carried by warriors. The kris is characterised by its distinctive wavy blade. The blade is given its characteristic shape by folding different types of metal together and then washing it in acid. Kris were said to be infused with venom during their forging but the method of doing this was a closely guarded secret among blacksmiths. This is an excellent Malayan Kris most likely made in the late 1800's -Early 1900's. It has a beautiful 15 1/2" long acid washed, hand forged Kris blade which incorporates it's ornate barbed design. The handle is beautifully hand crafted from antique Ivory or Bone and has a decorative ferrule. The dagger measures 19 3/4" overall and is complete with it's original hardwood scabbard. The body of the scabbard is wrapped in a thin sheet of brass with a foliate hammered design. Price for this beautiful ethnic piece includes UK delivery. Sn 10680

KA-BAR is the contemporary popular name for the combat knife first adopted by the United States Marine Corps (USMC) in November 1942 during WW2. This is an excellent Post war original Israeli Military example of the Kabar Pattern knife complete with leather sheath. The knife has a 7" steel clip point blade and compressed leather-washer handle. The ricasso is crisply marked with an Israeli State Star. An excellent WW2 US Camillus M3 Fighting Knife & Un issued condition M8 Scabbard With Integral Frog By BM Co. The blade is stamped "US M3 Camillus". The compressed leather ringed handle and blade are undamaged. The top of the pommel has the 'ignited grenade' Frankford Arsenal mark. The pommel is double pinned. The knife is complete with original green plastic M8 scabbard with integral green webbing frog which has a single retaining strap and press stud fastener. The upper mount of the scabbard is stamped 'USM8' & by the manufacturer 'BM Co'. The scabbard is fitted with it's original leather thigh cord which has never been uncoiled.
