Edwardian 1903-1904 Sterling Silver Samuel & Herbert Biggin (Cambridge Street) Sheffield Hunting / Skinner Knife With Stag Antler Grip & Scabbard. ED 2479 - ED 2479
This is an excellent Edwardian Sterling Silver mounted Hunting / Skinning Knife. The knife has a curved, clean, 10.3cm single edged stainless steel blade. The blade is faintly marked Sheffield England below indistinct manufacturer name (to faint to photograph). Its solid Stag antler hilt has ornate silver mounts (ferrule and pommel cap) with 1903-1904 sterling silver hallmarks ‘SBHB’ which is ‘Samuel & Herbert Biggin’ first registered at Cambridge Street Sheffield in July 1888. The knife has a small German silver finger guard. The knife measures 23.5cm overall. The knife is complete with its excellent original brown leather open top scabbard with single belt loop. This is a very good original Japanese Tanto with beautifully deep hand carved Ox Bone Handle & Scabbard. These items were popular with tourists visiting Japan. The Tanto blade has a cutting edge of 140mm with brass habaki and measures 266mm overall. The blade is clean and sharp. Its handle and scabbard made of the bone from the shin of an Ox are ornately hand carved with imagery of Japanese priests or noblemen & village scenery. The inner wood saya has contemporary hand written ink name and date most likely the original purchaser of this piece ‘22/12/32 Roland Haughton 13 Albert St, Hyde’. The price includes UK delivery. This is an original German WW1 Hunting / Trench Fighting Dagger. It has a deer's foot handle with white metal plate at the foot end. It has a steel cross guard and ferrule. It has a 148mm double edged steel dagger blade with medial ridge. The blade has some staining most likely old blood at the tip end. The dagger measures 284mm overall length and is complete with original German silver mounted brown leather scabbard. The throat mount has a frog bar and the chape has a ball end. WW2 Era U.S.N. Marl 1 Fighting Knife and U.S.N. Mk1 Plastic Scabbard. ED 2564. - ED 2564
This is a very nice early Unitaed States Navy (U.S.N.) Mk1 knife made by Pal Blade Co. It is marked to the blade with U.S.N. Mk1 on one side and R.H. Pal 35 to the other side. It has a parkerised blade with a leather handle with black yellow and red spacers and a dull aluminium butt. See U.S. Military Knives by M.H.Cole item 23, page 81 for the identical knife. It is contained in its grey plastic scabbard marked to the front with U.S.N. Mk1 and to the rear with Nord – 8114 over B.M.Co 1/1 V.P. Markings highlighted with chalk which can be wiped. Scandinavian Sami Knife and Leather Sheath. ED 2563. - ED 2563 / 18407
This is a very nice ‘Sami’ knife which means big knife in Finnish. This example has a 6” blade with a fuller on one side and marked Holger Andreasen A.S. to the other. There is a brass ferrule and a wooden handle which is usually birch for better grip in snowy conditions. The scabbard is typically Scandinavian made of leather with an integral belt loop. WW1 Imperial German Officer’s Carl Eickhorn Solingen Trench Dagger / Fighting Knife Design Based On WW1 Dress Bayonet & Scabbard. Sn 18388 - 18388
This is a an original WW1 German Officer’s trench dagger / fighting knife. This form of trench dagger were based on dress bayonets issued during WW1 (see page 50 of German Combat Knives 1914-1945 By Mery). This dagger is 11” overall with a 6” steel blade with medial ridge. The blade is crisply marked by the maker ‘C.E’ (Carl Eickhorn Solingen) together with ‘back to back’ Squirrels trademark. It has the correct Eagle's head pommel with correct false bayonet button which pushes in but is correctly non-functioning & forms the Eagles eye. The chequered wood scales are secured with two rivets. It has an up-swept quillon cross guard. The dagger has its original blackened metal scabbard which has an integral riveted leather belt loop and retaining strap with press stud fastener. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 18388

WW2 Wood Hilt Fairbairn- Sykes, FS Far East Commando Fighting Knife & Correct Scabbard. Sn 18266 - 18266
An original WW2, FS Far East Operations dagger and correct scabbard in very good condition (see Page 137 of The Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife & Other Commando Knives By Flook). The hilt is natural wood with grooved grip and an oval brass cross guard (these daggers were made with both steel and brass cross guards, see item 9.33 page 137 of Flook’s book for an example with brass cross guard). One side of the wood has a fine old stable crack near to the cross guard only visible on close inspection. The crack is stable and the hilt and blade secure with no movement. The pommel has the correct screw bolt. It has a 171mm steel dagger blade with medial ridge. The blade has areas of light staining consistent with age. The dagger has its original correct leather scabbard with belt loop and retaining strap with stud fastener. The riveted and stitched scabbard is in the same very good condition, clean with all leather and stitching intact. The leather is impressed ‘Made In Sheffield England’. **MINT**WW2 Era Nazi German Luftwaffen- Kampfmesser Pilot’s & Paratrooper’s Fallschirmjager Boot Knife With Luftwaffe Acceptance Mark & Scabbard. Sn 18277:11 - 18277:11
An original, near mint condition, WW2 German Luftwaffe Luftwaffen- Kampfmesser Boot Knife & Scabbard. These knives were carried in the boots of Luftwaffe pilots and Air crew and were favoured by Nazi Fallschirmjager Paratroopers (see page 78 of German Combat knives 1914-1945 By Mery). The knife has an undamaged, 6 ¾” polished steel blade which has just light areas of staining consistent with age and has the correct, crisp, Luftwaffe stylised Eagle acceptance mark. The overall length is 11 ¼”. The undamaged grips are smooth contoured wood and secured to the tang by three rivets. Its original scabbard is metal with original black paint. U.S. Post War Ka-Bar Fighting Knife & Scabbard - ED 2550
This is a nice Ka-Bar knife as used in Korea and Vietnam. The knife is marked to the Ricasso with U.S. over CAMILLUS. This is the second pattern knife which was re-designed by Camillus and instead of the blade having a threaded nut in the pommel, this version has the later oblong tang with a steel pin to hold it. The grips are the standard compressed leather washers. The leather scabbard has all of its stitching intact. This is a nice Korea/Vietnam American fighting knife. The price includes U.K. delivery.
