Turkish All Steel Ersatz Bayonet & Scabbard. Bayo 123 - Bayo 123
This is an all steel bayonet made by Turkey and not a modified German one. It fits the Mauser rifle and has a slightly stepped muzzle ring and a small recess in the crossguard between the hilt and the muzzle ring. Turkish markings of a star and crescent are stamped on the crossguard and a serial number "29771". The blade is a single edged, becoming double edged towards the tip. The scabbard is all steel. (see White & Watts The Bayonet Book Item 630 Page 278 & 282 for an identical item). This is a scarce bayonet as most Ersatz bayonets in Turkish use were of German Origin. The price includes delivery. Australian WW2 February 1945 Owen Machine Gun Mark 1 Bayonet And Scabbard. Sn ED 2195 - ED 2195
An original WW2 dated Australian Made Owen machine gun Mark 1bayonet in its correct scabbard. The bayonet, made at Orange Arsenal, is fitted with smooth wooden grips secured with two bolts, and a blackened single edge blade with 5” fullers which measures 10". This was a new blade as opposed to the Mk1/1 which was a converted No 1 bayonet, (1907 pattern), with fullers running through the point. The bayonet has a straight cross guard and muzzle ring. The ricasso is stamped on one side with 2 45 (February 1945) MA over 1907 over 1 . The other side of the ricasso is stamped X OA and WD arrow. The bayonet has a fixing mortice and a cleaning hole in the pommel along with a sprung button release. The slab grip is stamped SLAZ42 (Slazenger Australia). The scabbard is brown leather with blackened steel mounts. The steel chape is stamped "OA" (Orange Factory Australia). The leather scabbard is stamped with Mangrovite 44 (a small town in Australia where the scabbard was made and 1944 date. The scabbard is as also stamped a WD arrow over B , see item A13, pages 278 and 279 of Skennerton. Both the bayonet and scabbard are in very good condition. The price includes UK delivery. Sn ED 2195

Italian 1891/38 Bayonet & Scabbard. Bayo 111 - Bayo 111
This is the fixed blade conversion from the folding blade by the addition od a new cross guard and is contained in its steel scabbard which unfortunately is missing the frog stud. WW2 1945, 1907 Pattern, Australian, Lithgow, Bayonet & No.1 MK 2 Scabbard Marked Mangrovite & Dated 1944. Sn 11510 - 11510
An excellent Australian, WW2 dated example of the Pattern 1907 bayonet for the SMLE rifle complete with WW2 Dated Scabbard. The ricasso of the bayonet is stamped by the manufacturer 'MA' (Lithgow) '1907' (Pattern) and '6 45' (June 1945). The reverse is stamped with inspection marks and 'OA' (Orange Factory). The blade is clean and its wood grips are undamaged and perfectly secure. It is complete original steel mounted brown leather No.1 MK II Scabbard with rear seam. All stitching and Leather of the scabbard are intact. The leather is stamped 'Mangrovite 44' (Mangrovite Belting Ltd, Australia, 1944). WW2 Era Czech Army M1924 Bayonet For Mauser Type Rifles & Scabbard With Leather Frog. Sn 10478 - 10478
These bayonets were adopted by Czech Armed forces ion 1924 to fit a Mauser type rifle.. Many of the bayonets were captured by the Germans in 1939 and re issued to German forces. The bayonet has a blued 11 ¾” blade with fuller and reversed cutting edge. The hilt is also blued and all retain their original finish. The blade is marked with the Czech ‘CSZ & E’ mark together with ‘Lion in roundel’ and ‘24’ mark. The scabbard is also blued and the frog stud has ‘E3 48’ together with Czech Lion mark. It is also stamped with letters ‘tgf’ which most likely denotes German ownership. The scabbard is fitted with original brown leather frog. The frog has a single belt loop and all leather and stitching are intact. Price includes UK delivery. Sn 10478

1960’s South African No.9 Bayonet By Armscor Subsiduaries For No.4 SMLE Rifles & Scabbard. BAYO 50 - BAYO 50
These bayonets produced in the 1960’s by Armscor Subsiduaries have a socket identical to the British No.9 Bayonet bayonet but with a blade from the UZI SMG bayonet. According to Skennerton these bayonets were made to fit No.4 rifles carried by South African Local Defence Force Commandos (see page 370 item 6 of Skennerton’s book British & Commonwealth Bayonets). They were issued in both reinforced fibreglass scabbards and as in the case of our example steel scabbards from UZI bayonets. The bayonet has an excellent clean blackened 6 ¾” single edged blade and pommel with ribbed release button. The scabbard with frog stud has original black paint and no dents. Indian Pattern No 1 MK II* Bayonet with unfullered blade, complete with Original Long Scabbard. Bayo 47 - Bayo 47
An Indian Pattern No 1 MK II bayonet with unfullered blade and complete with the original long scabbard. This conforms to the No 1 MK II* style configuration but is marked on the blade as MK I*. This carries the date "1 43" denoting manufacture in January 1943 and the initials "JU" which is the unidentified factory listed in Skennerton's. As Skennerton states there were many anomalies during this period and there are many variations. The bayonet has an unfullered 12" long blade which is polished. It has slab grips secured by two screw bolts. The pommel has a push button release and clearance hole. The crossguard is straight. The ricasso is stamped on one side with inspection marks on one side and on the other with "MK I* 1 42 JU". The scabbard is the long scabbard and is leather with metal chape and locket. The scabbard has a large oval frog button and three rivets above. (see Skennerton's Page 347 to 351, item 154). This is a scarce bayonet and for collectors of the India Pattern bayonets, a desirable item. The price includes UK delivery. Bayo 47

A Belgian M1916 bayonet and scabbard for the M1889 Mauser Rifle. This has a blackened, shortened blade which was originally a 17 1/2" flat cruciform blade, shortened to just over 13". It has matching numbers "970" stamped on the cross guard edge and the frog stud on the scabbard. The number on the cross guard is "970.8.". One of the grips has what looks to be burn damage. (see White & Watts 'The Bayonet Book' item 97, page 26) This is not a common bayonet. The price includes Uk delivery. Sn 10880:65

A Siamese (Thailand) Mauser Bayonet & Scabbard. Sn 10880:45 - 10880:45
An unusual Siamese (Thailand) Mauser Bayonet and Scabbard. These bayonets were imported bayonets and are marked on the ricasso and pommel with Siamese script. The wooden grips are secured with rivets as oppose to screw bolts. (see item 618, pages 275/276 in White & Watts 'The Bayonet Book'). The pommel has a push release which operates smoothly. The pommel is stamped on the top with Siamese script. It has a fixing mortise. The grips are secured with two rivets and are shaped. It has a straight crossguard with muzzle ring. The ricasso is stamped with Siamese script. The polished steel blade is in good condition and is fullered. It comes with the original steel scabbard which has an elongated tear frog stud. WW1 1909 Dated Canadian Ross Mark I, 1908 Patent, Bayonet with Stepped Back Muzzle Ring & Original Blade Tip, Complete With 1915 Dated Scabbard With Integral Frog. Sn 10880:43 - 10880:43
A WW1 Canadian Ross Mark I bayonet, for the Ross Rifle, complete with it's scabbard and frog. The bayonet measures 14 3/4 inches overall and has a nice 10 inch blade. The bayonets wood slab grips are in good undamaged condition and are stamped with inspection marks and regimental number, "J 367". The grips are secured with two screw bolts. One side of the pommel bears the manufacturer's patent details ' Ross Rifle Co. Quebec, Patented 1907' the reverse is stamped '08' with the War Department 'Crows Foot' and '06/09' ( June 1909 date) with "08" and an inspection mark. The crossguard is straight with a stepped back muzzle ring and inside this is a recess which contains a split annular spring with three flattened surfaces. This acts against the muzzle and ring to provide a rattle free and positive fit. The bayonet is often referred to as the Pattern 1908 bayonet. Only 52,000 were made of the first pattern making this a scarce bayonet. The bayonet is complete with it's leather covered scabbard which has an integral leather frog with a large single belt loop. The scabbard is date stamped adjacent to the stitching on the reverse with "1915". (see pages 300-303, item C4 in Skennerton's British & Commonwealth Bayonet Book and White & Watts Pages 300 to 303).
