Brazilian Military 1908 Pattern Bayonet For 7mm Mauser Rifles & Brass Mounted Leather Scabbard. Sn 13774 - 13774 This is the bayonet for the 7mm Mauser Rifle adopted by Brazil in 1908 (see 'An Illustrated History Of Bayonets' by Martin J Brayley, Page 38) . It has a swept quillon coss guard and 12” single edge fullered blade. It has wood slab grips secured with two steel rivets. The pommel is steel and has a push button release which works as it should . The only marking on the bayonet are a letter ‘B’ on the back of the blade and number ‘a3691’ on the cross guard . The brass mounted leather scabbard has number on ‘s4074’ on the frog stud. All leather & stitching of the scabbard are intact. The price includes UK delivery. Danish M5 Bayonet, Scabbard and Webbing Intergral Frog. Bayo 273 - Bayo 273 This is a scarce Danish bayonet issued in 1962. It is identical to the U.S. M5 but is contained in a wood grained scabbard. It was issued in small quantities as the Haerens Tekniske Korps Model 1962. The pommel is stamped with a Crown over 'HTK M62' which signifies the Army Technical Corps Model 1962. The grips are black plastic and secured with two screw bolts. The bayonet has a thumb release tab which is located near to the crossguard, it operates smoothly. The scabbard is wood grained and the top mount carries a crown over HTK The webbing integral frog is a more elaborate version of the American type. This bayonet fits the M1 Garand rifle which Denmark had been using since 1950. The bayonets were made in Germany under licence. Not a common bayonet on the collectors market. Israeli Uzi Sub Machine Gun Bayonet and Scabbard. Bayo 249 - Bayo 249 This is a current Uzi Sub Machine Gun bayonet of all steel construction. There are 2 versions, the one with steel grips and a metal scabbard and another with plastic grips and scabbard. Scarce Swiss M1878 Vetterli Bayonet and Scabbard. Sn 13168 - 13168 This is a scarce M1878 bayonet for the Vetterli rifle and is believed to have taken certain aspects of design from the British Elcho bayonet. In this respect it has black chequered grips, a spatulate type crossguard and a saw backed blade. Unlike the Elcho bayonet the blade is fullered on one side only. There are two models of this bayonet, the M1878 and the M1881. The M1878 has grips secured by four rivets and the crossguard is 6mm thick whereas the M1881 has three rivets securing the grips and the crossguard is 7mm thick. The blade on this bayonet is marked with the makers name of "Gebr. Weyersberg Solingen" and the crossguard carries a number "150703". The other side of the blade numbers "79" and "137", both with a line through them. It is contained in its steel mounted black leather scabbard with a loop for a frog strap. Brazilian 1908 Pattern Bayonet & Scabbard. Bayo 219 - Bayo 219 This attractive bayonet was used by Brazil on the 1908 Mauser 7mm rifle. The bayonets were made in Germany and this one is stamped with the Trademark "Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie" Solingen" on one side of the ricasso. The pommel is polished steel and has a push button release which operates as it should. It is stamped on one side with "B". The grips are dark wood and in excellent condition, secured with two rivets. The steel cross guard has a swept forward quillon. The cross guard is stamped with the serial number "Ee296", this is repeated on the frog stud. The blade is 113/4" long and fullered on both sides. It is in very good condition. Siamese Contract Pattern 1907 Bayonet and Scabbard. Bayo 185 - Bayo 185 This is one of the 10,000 S.M.L.E. Rifles and Bayonets contract for Siam in 1920 from B.S.A. The bayonets were merely ex-service models, re-finished and stamped with the 'Wild Tiger Corps' emblem and script which includes the Rifle number. This bayonet has slab wood grips secured with two screw bolts. The pommel has a push release button which operates a it should. The ricasso is stamped with the 'Wild Tiger' emblem and symbols on one side and inspection marks on the other. The polished steel blade is in very good condition and is fullered. Most scabbards had the leather bodies replaced with sheet steel and the locket and chape brazed back on again as this one has. Turkish M1935 Bayonet and Scabbard. Bayo 135 - Bayo 135 This is a Turkish M1935 bayonet which has been modified by the addition of an extra muzzle ring welded behind the existing one. In 1935 the Turkish authorities decided to streamline their vast array of weapons and standardise them to a 1903 style rifle and 250mm bayonet blades. Some bayonets were newly made and others were converted as the Turks held many different types of weapon. This has the markings of "ASFA" for 'Arisaka Fabrika' or military factory stamped onto the pommel together with a serial number "225882". The blade is fullered but devoid of markings. The scabbard is all steel and the frog stud is marked with "OE WG" which is the Austrian markings of the state arsenal together with an eagle and "83". (see Martin J. Turkish All Steel Ersatz Bayonet & Scabbard. Bayo 123 - Bayo 123 This is an all steel bayonet made by Turkey and not a modified German one. It fits the Mauser rifle and has a slightly stepped muzzle ring and a small recess in the crossguard between the hilt and the muzzle ring. Turkish markings of a star and crescent are stamped on the crossguard and a serial number "29771". The blade is a single edged, becoming double edged towards the tip. The scabbard is all steel. (see White & Watts The Bayonet Book Item 630 Page 278 & 282 for an identical item). This is a scarce bayonet as most Ersatz bayonets in Turkish use were of German Origin. The price includes delivery. Australian WW2 February 1945 Owen Machine Gun Mark 1 Bayonet And Scabbard. Sn ED 2195 - ED 2195 An original WW2 dated Australian Made Owen machine gun Mark 1bayonet in its correct scabbard. The bayonet, made at Orange Arsenal, is fitted with smooth wooden grips secured with two bolts, and a blackened single edge blade with 5” fullers which measures 10". This was a new blade as opposed to the Mk1/1 which was a converted No 1 bayonet, (1907 pattern), with fullers running through the point. The bayonet has a straight cross guard and muzzle ring. The ricasso is stamped on one side with 2 45 (February 1945) MA over 1907 over 1 . The other side of the ricasso is stamped X OA and WD arrow. The bayonet has a fixing mortice and a cleaning hole in the pommel along with a sprung button release. The slab grip is stamped SLAZ42 (Slazenger Australia). The scabbard is brown leather with blackened steel mounts. The steel chape is stamped "OA" (Orange Factory Australia). The leather scabbard is stamped with Mangrovite 44 (a small town in Australia where the scabbard was made and 1944 date. The scabbard is as also stamped a WD arrow over B , see item A13, pages 278 and 279 of Skennerton. Both the bayonet and scabbard are in very good condition. The price includes UK delivery. Italian 1891/38 Bayonet & Scabbard. Bayo 111 - Bayo 111 This is the fixed blade conversion from the folding blade by the addition od a new cross guard and is contained in its steel scabbard which unfortunately is missing the frog stud.
