WW2 Japanese Jinsen Arsenal (Occupied Korea) Type 30 ARISAKA Rifle Bayonet & Correct Wood Scabbard With Steel Fittings. Sn 18435:1 - 18435:1
These bayonets were made late WW2 at the Jinsen arsenal in Occupied Korea. (see item LB-162 page 197 of Bayonets Of Japan by Labar where an example the same as ours with straight grips and rectangular pommel is illustrated and is described as scarce). It has the correct plain single edged blade and was manufactured without cross guard quillon. It has the correct straight wood grips secured by rivets and steel rectangular pommel with steel bayonet button that works as it should. The blade is 382mm length and has the correct late war, larger, Jinsen arsenal mark. The original late war wood scabbard has 2 bands of correct, original cord binding and retains its original drab olive paint finish. The scabbard has the correct small steel chape and throat mount with fixed strap bar. The wood has knocks bumps and bruises to be expected. There are no visible serial numbers on the bayonet or scabbard. The price includes UK delivery. 18435:1. (Arisaka Box 2)

Austrian M1895 Mannlicher Bayonet and Scabbard. BAYO 686. - BAYO 686
This is a nice other ranks M1895 Mannlicher bayonet. The blade is marked OE over WE (Oterreich Iche Waffen Fabrik Gesellschaft Steyr) and the double headed eagle denoting use by the Imperial forces and not for export. The blade is 9 ¾” in length and has rounded fullers. The cross guard is secured by 2 rivets, the grips are wood secured by domed rivets and the pommel is steel. The end of the pommel carries regimental markings of 94R 2682. The scabbard is steel with a brazed frog stud. See Martin J.Brayley An illustrated history of bayonets centre example on page 31. Austrian Bayonet And Scabbard. - BAYO 684
This appears to be a dress bayonet similar to item 46 on page 22 of the bayonet book by White & Watts. However, it has regimental markings on the cross guard for the 33rd Infantry Regiment with the number 5920 below the other side of the cross guard is marked with 1270 OE. The blade is marked with OE over WG being the mark for the Osterreichiche Waffenfabrik Gesellschaft Steyr Factory. The other side has the double headed eagle denoting use by the Imperial army. The grips are wood held by two screw bolts and the scabbard is steel. An unusual bayonet for the collector of Austro-Hungarian bayonets. £225. BAYO 684.

Argentinian M1909 Bayonet and Scabbard. - BAYO 683
Argentinian M1909 Bayonet and Scabbard. This is a very nice M1909 bayonet with the Argentinian crest intact. These were usually ground off when the bayonets became obsolete and sold to other South American countries. This example has the feint Weyersberg Kirsch Baum & Co. Solingen on one side and Modelo Argentino 1090 over the Argentinian crest and G5117 on the other. The pommel also carries an R.A. in an oval denoting Republic of Argentina. The blade is 15 ¾” long, fullered and in excellent condition. The grips are wood held by domed rivets. The scabbard is blue steel in excellent condition and carries matching numbers to the blade i.e. G5117. The scabbard also has an impressed cross within a letter D and A circle with a cross. The mouth of the scabbard also has a circle with a cross and an A. The tip of the scabbard also carries the R.A. within an oval. A well-marked example with matching numbers and crest intact. Austrian M1895 Mannlicher Bayonet & Scabbard. - BAYO 676
This is a nice N.C.O’s (Non-commissioned officer) version of the M1895 Mannlicher bayonet made at Steyr. It is marked to the blade with OE over WG (Osterreichiche Waffenfabrik Gesellschaft Steyr) and the double headed eagle denoting use by the imperial forces and not for export. The blade is 9 ¾ “ in length nad has rounde fullers. The crossguard is secured by 2 rivets and has a hooked quillon. The grips are wood secured by domed rivets and the pommel has a hole which would have had a steel knot loop (now missing but easily replaced) The scabbard is steel with a brazed frog stud. 1960’s South African No.9 Bayonet By Armscor Subsiduaries For No.4 SMLE Rifles & Scabbard - BAYO 640
These bayonets produced in the 1960’s by Armscor Subsiduaries have a socket identical to the British No.9 Bayonet but with a blade from the UZI SMG bayonet. According to Skennerton these bayonets were made to fit No.4 rifles carried by South African Local Defence Force Commandos (see page 370 item 6 of Skennerton’s book British & Commonwealth Bayonets). They were issued in both reinforced fibreglass scabbards and as in the case of our example steel scabbards from UZI bayonets. The bayonet has an excellent clean blackened 6 ¾” single edged blade and pommel with ribbed release button. The scabbard with frog stud has original black paint and no dents. These bayonets are not commonly found on the collectors market. The price includes UK delivery. BAYO 640

Yugoslavia M56 Bayonet, Scabbard And Frog - BAYO 284
This is a very nice complete M56 bayonet and scabbard with its scarce brown leather frog. These bayonets were for use with the 7.62mm M1956 sub machine gun. The bayonet has a bright finished blade of 7 inches which is marked to the ricasso with 36-189-6 on one side and 80 206 on the other. The grips are made of black plastic held by a central screw bolt and the pommel has twin catches that push away from the mortise similar to the SIG57 bayonet. The scabbard is made of black steel and is contained in its original scarce brown leather frog. Most of these bayonets on the market are without the frog. WW2.1943 Dated India Pattern No 1 MK.II* Bayonet And Scabbard - BAYO 277
This is a nice WW2, 1943 dated Indian Pattern No. 1, MK II* bayonet and leather scabbard. This is one on the many variations of these bayonets and a large collection could be amassed of all the different patterns and variations with this pattern bayonet. This bayonet has a false edge tip to the blade and the ricasso carries 11* over N.W.R. (North West Railways) and 43 (denoting a 1943 manufacture date). See Skennerton item 154 on page 349 for similar and pages 346 – 351 for full descriptions of all the variations. The scabbard is a cut down No1 with steel mounts and a black leather body. The mount carries AK1941 and AH stamped into it. The rounded pommel has the correct release button which operates smoothly and it has a clearance hole. The price includes UK Delivery. BAYO 277

**FALKLANDS WAR BRING BACK**Argentine Army Marked Type C Socket Bayonet For FN FAL Rifles, Scabbard & Tempex Frog. Sn 18208 - 18208
These socket bayonets were used by Argentine forces in the Falklands War (See Page 22 of An Illustrated History Of Bayonets by Brayley where an Argentine Type C socket bayonet captured during the Falklands war with plastic scabbard & Tempex Frog the same as ours are illustrated). This Argentine Type C bayonet is most likely a bring back from the Falklands war. The all steel construction bayonet is in excellent condition. The tubular socket has the correct release catch ‘ears’ and has the correct cut outs to align with the vents in the rifle flash eliminator. The bayonet has a 6 ¾” long blade and measures 11 ½” overall. The blade has number ’01-67105’. The ‘01’ prefix denotes Army issue (02=Marines & 03=Air Force). There are no other manufacturer marks on the bayonet. The scabbard is the correct black plastic version. The scabbard has a frog locket. The scabbard is fitted with correct webbing frog which has 2 retaining straps with press stud fasteners marked ‘Tempex’ and steel wire belt bar. The rear of the frog has a riveted plastic belt attachment mount. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 18208

**FALKLANDS WAR BRING BACK**Argentine Type A Knife Bayonet For FN FAL Rifles With Flash Suppressor Prongs Removed, Scabbard & Tempex Frog. Sn 18207 - 18207
Production of the Belgian Type A FN FAL bayonet began in 1953. Argentine made bayonets were made with plastic grips and their scabbards were more pointed than the Belgium made model. These bayonets were used by Argentine forces in the Falklands War (See Page 21 of An Illustrated History Of Bayonets by Brayley where an Argentine Type A bayonet (with flash suppressor prongs) captured at the Falklands battle of Goose green is illustrated). This Argentine Type A bayonet is most likely a bring back from the Falklands war. The bayonet is in excellent condition with correct ribbed plastic grips and distinctive locking catch on the pommel. The muzzle ring originally would have had 2 muzzle flash suppressor prongs. The prongs have been contemporarily been removed. It has a 7 ¾” long polished steel blade which has light staining consistent with age and measures 12 ¾” overall. The pommel is numbered 46092. There are no other manufacturer marks on the bayonet. The blackened metal scabbard is the slim Argentine pattern. The scabbard has a frog bar. The throat is numbered ‘06421’. The scabbard is fitted with period webbing frog which has 2 retaining straps with press stud fasteners marked ‘Tempex’ and steel wire belt bar. The rear of the frog has a riveted plastic belt attachment mount (see page 22 of Brayley’s book where an Argentine Tempex frog the same as ours is illustrated). The price includes UK delivery.
