British No 7 MK 1 L, Bayonet For The No 4 Rifle & MK V Sten Sub Machine Gun, With Swivel Handle, Scabbard & Webbing Frog - BAYO 272
An original No 7 MK 1 L, bayonet with swivelling pommel made for the No 4 rifle and MK V Sten Sub Machine Guns. The 'L' designation is for Land Service. The bayonet has a 7 3/4” blade (12 ¼” overall) with bowie knife style blade and deep fuller to both sides. The blade is stamped on the ricasso 'No 7 MK1/L' and there are no visible manufacturer marks. The blade and red Tufnell grip are in good condition. The scabbard is the No 5 Mark1 with the steel mouthpiece. The scabbard is fitted with an original webbing pattern ’37 green frog with M.W.&S LTD 1956 AF0261 & 64 & 96 stamped to the rear. British 1907 Pattern, Enfield Made, 1909 Dated Hooked Quillon Bayonet - BAYO 271
This is a British 1907 pattern bayonet with a hooked quillon made at Enfield. The blade is marked to the with a feint crown over ER and a clear 1907 over 2 ’09 (February 1909 manufacture date) over EFD (Enfield). The other side of the blade carries a bread arrow over an inspection mark and a capital N. The pommel is regimentally stamped with R.M. over I (Royal Marines Infantry) and L7504. The scabbard is the Mk II pattern with all of its stitching intact. The bayonet is contained in its 1908 pattern webbing frog with strap for the helve carrier. British Wilkinson 1888 Pattern Mark I, 2nd Type, Lee Metford Bayonet And Scabbard - BAYO 267
This is a Lee Metford, 1888 Mark I second type bayonet manufactured for the British .303 calibre Enfield, Lee Metford Rifle. The bayonets 12 inch double edged blade is unfullered with a medial ridge running from the ricasso to the blade tip. The ricasso of the blade is marked WILKINSON LONDON 7 ‘93 (July 1893 manufacture date) ‘03and various other inspection stamps. The other side carries an arrow over W.D. and an inspection stamp. The grips are made of wood, held together with two brass rivets and there is an inspection stamp on each one. There is a oil clearance hole behind the top rivet. The steel pommel carries the mumber 50 which is repeated on the top of he scabbard mouthpiece which is a standard 1888 mark 1. See Skennerton item B213 on pages 16 - 173. British Volunteer Pattern 1888 Mark II, 2nd Pattern, Lee Metford Bayonet And Scabbard - BAYO 626
This is a Volunteer pattern 1888 Mark II second pattern bayonet manufactured for the British .303 calibre Lee Metford Rifle which were issued to British and allied forces during the Boer war and in WW1. The bayonet blade is in good clean condition with original polish, 12" in length, double edged, unfullered with a medial ridge running from the ricasso to the blade tip. The bayonet and scabbard are completely devoid of any markings except for the number 26 stamped into one of the wooden grips as per photograph. The bayonet is devoid of an oil hole in the grips or the pommel. The bayonet is contained in the correct standard 1888 mark 1 steel mounted leather scabbard for this bayonet. At some point in this bayonets service, the scabbard has lost its steel bottom chape. See Skennerton item B216 page 170 and 171. The leather price includes UK delivery. BAYO 626

Nazi M98 Dress Bayonet By E. Pack & Sohne & Scabbard - BAYO 625
This is an early Nazi M98 dress bayonet and scabbard. The dress sidearm for military and civilian uniformed formations was designated the M98 Dress Bayonet. This bayonet represented a stylised form of the S. 84/98 bayonet purchased by the individual for wear with the walkout dress uniform and was worn by the mainly non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel. This early dress bayonet has a rifle mortise and a dummy push button release. Usually there is some green felt in the rifle mortise but this is missing. This is the long version with a 9 3/4" blade which carries the makers logo of E. Pack & Sohne. The bayonet has "E. Pack & Sohne Solingen" etched on the ricasso together with their Siegfried Waffen logo. This is a scarcer variant of their trademark. The polished steel blade is in excellent condition. The plastic grips are chequered and secured with two screw bolts. The scabbard is the standard black gloss painted version, (see 'German Clamshells' book pages 15-16 by Gary L. Walker & R.J. Spanish CETME M1969 Bolo Knife Bayonet And Scabbard - BAYO 621
This is a Spanish CETME M1969 Bolo knife bayonet and scabbard. The unfullered bolo blade is stamped with the Toledo coat of arms under the serial number EI 45169B on one side and the factory crest of the Instituto Nacional de Industria (INI) on the other side. The end of the pommel has the unusual rectangular mortise slot on the pommel face. The black plastic cross hatched grips are undamaged. The green plastic scabbard is undamaged as it the webbing frog, (see page 253 of White & Watts ‘The Bayonet Book’). This is a very nice complete and original bayonet and scabbard. French 1868 Dated Model 1866 Chassepot Yataghan Sword Bayonet By St Etienne Arsenal, Blade Manufactured By Alex Coppel, Germany With Brass Grip & Steel Scabbard - BAYO 619
This is an original French model 1866 Chassepot sword bayonet (See pages 70 and 71 of ‘An Illustrated History Of Bayonets’ by Brayley). The steel fullered single edged ‘T’ back Yataghan blade has staining consistent with age and is 22 ¾” length. The blade of the bayonet is stamped with the German makers trademark of Alex Coppel and the bayonet carries more than the usual inspection stamps. The back of the blade is marked with the name of the French Arsenal St Etienne and is dated 7th February 1872 in French. The bayonet has the correct steel hooked quillon with muzzle ring. The bayonet has a ribbed brass grip with flat spring and steel push button. The blade has small inspection marks. The cross guard is stamped X 9482 on the quillion. The bayonet is complete with the correct steel scabbard and is stamped 90986 near the throat. The scabbard has no dents and has its original fixed strap bar. Captured French / Prussian 1872 Dated Model 1866 Chassepot Yataghan Sword Bayonet By St Etienne Arsenal With Brass Grip & Steel Scabbard Captured In The Franco Prussian War And Reissued By The Prussians - BAYO 621
An original French model 1866 Chassepot sword bayonet (See pages 70 and 71 of ‘An Illustrated History Of Bayonets’ by Brayley). The steel fullered single edged ‘T’ back Yataghan blade has staining consistent with age and is 22 ¾” length. The bayonet has the correct steel hooked quillon with muzzle ring. The bayonet has a ribbed brass grip with flat spring and steel push button. The blade has small inspection marks. The cross guard is stamped 66.L.I.222 on the quillion when it was captured by the Prussians in the Franco Prussian War and reissued by the Prussian Army. The back of the blade is marked with the name of the French Arsenal St Etienne and is dated 7th February 1872 in French. The bayonet is complete with the correct steel scabbard and is stamped IL C 4517 near the throat. The scabbard has an even patina, no dents and has its original fixed strap bar. Canadian WW1 Ross Mk II Bayonet And Scabbard - BAYO 616
This is a nice Mk II Ross bayonet with a modified blade profile. This modification was authorised in October 1915 to give better penetration over the more rounded original blade shape tip. The pommel carries the Canadian Government ownership mark of an arrow within a Capital C, the Ross factory inspection mark of a crown over 4 and the date of manufacture 11 over 2/17 (February 1917 date). The other side carries Ross Rifle Co. Quebec Patented 1907. One of the grips carries the Ross factory inspection mark. The spine of the tang also carries 2 Ross factory inspection stamps. Post Mutiny Indian Issue Victorian British India Pattern 1859 Socket Bayonet (NOT P1853) For Enfield Smoothbore Muzzle Loading Muskets and Scabbard. BAYO 607 - BAYO 607
This is a P.1859 Enfield socket bayonet. These are often confused with P.1853 socket bayonets but have longer sockets to fit the longer barrel P.1859 long barrel smooth bore Enfield muskets (see page 331 of Skennerton’s British & Commonwealth Military Bayonets). A label accompanying the bayonet describes it as post mutiny issue. It has a clean 17” triangular blade. The blade has a small inspection mark. The blued socket is 77mm length. The scabbard is brass mounted leather with a tear drop frog stud and the seam stitching to the rear. All leather and stitching are clean and intact. The leather has WD & arrow mark.
