Scarce, French Model 1886 / 35 White Metal Handle Short Epee Lebel Rifle Bayonet With Hook Quillon & Scabbard With Leather Frog. Sn 16535 - 16535
This is an excellent original French Epee Lebel Short Bayonet & Scabbard for the Lebel Rifle. The earlier long bladed versions had the propensity to snap resulting in the introduction of short blade versions in 1935. Short versions are scarce to find compared to long variants. Our short version has a cruciform blade length of 340mm instead of the earlier length of 521mm. This ias an early short bayonet with its original quillon & white metal hilt with early round press stud. The Quillon carries the number 25380 and the blade has small inspection marks. It steel scabbard has been shortened & is fitted with a period brown leather frog. The leather & stitching of the frog are intact. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 16535

MINT UNISSUED IN SEALED ORIGINAL STORES PACKAGE, Post WW2 Dutch M4 Bayonet For M1 Carbines, Scabbard With Integral Frog & Coiled Thigh Cord. Sn 16621 - 16621
After WW2 the Dutch were supplied with M1 Carbines by the Americans. The Dutch chose to produce their own bayonets for the Carbines rather than be supplied with American bayonets. This is an original post WW2 Dutch M4 bayonet for M1 Carbines, complete with scabbard coiled thigh cord and integral webbing frog. The bayonet has the correct brown coloured plastic grip in imitation of the leather ringed grips on the US model. The scabbard is similarly styled on the U.S. version. The bayonet and scabbard are wrapped in their original protective wax paper and contained in their original sealed clear polythene bag of issue. To protect the integrity / condition of this piece we have not opened the sealed packaging (an example of an issued condition Dutch M4 knife bayonet is illustrated as a comparison example only and although in excellent condition itself does not represent the mint un-issued condition of our packaged example. Imperial German WKC (Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie, Solingen) M1871 Brass Hilt Parade Sword Bayonet With Etched Blade & Scabbard For The 1871 Mauser Rifle. Sn 16618 - 16618
An Imperial German M1871 parade bayonet for the 1871 Mauser Rifle by WKC (Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie, Solingen) and scabbard. The bayonet has a brass hilt, smooth on one side and with grooved panel on the reverse. The hilt has a flat spring on one side and brass cross guard with muzzle ring. The ricasso is stamped with the manufacturer mark ‘WK&C’ (Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie, Solingen) which is partially visible together with trademarks. The single edged blade measures 19 ¼” length and has faint foliate etched panels on both sides. The scabbard is leather and has a brass top mount with frog bar and brass chape with tear drop end. Siamese (Thailand) Mauser Bayonet And Scabbard. BAYO 424 - BAYO 424
This is a Siamese bayonet for the Mauser Type 45 or 1902 rifle (the year the rifle was adopted). Like the rifle, the bayonet was made in Japan. The blade is single edged and fullered and carries the Thai script for 1902. The pommel also carries Thai script. The scabbard is made of steel and the throat has a small recess allowing the scabbard to remain on the bayonet even when fixed to the rifle. See An Illustrated History of Bayonets by Martin J. French Mannlicher Berthier M1892 2nd Pattern Artillery Carbine Bayonet Retaining Original Quillon. BAYO 409 - BARO 409
This is a French Mannlicher Berthier Artillery Carbine M1892 2nd Pattern bayonet and scabbard. This bayonet was made to be used with the Mannlicher Berthier Artillery Carbine. This is the 2nd Pattern with wood grips which replaced the first patterns composition grips that tended to crack at the rivet holes. The bayonet has a straight sword like polished fullered blade which measures 15 3/4" long. The bayonet has an unusual feature of a short fuller on the top edge of the blade near the tip which aided penetration. The blade has a notch on both sides near to the crossguard which locks the bayonet in the scabbard with a click. The pommel has a push release which operates as it should. The scabbard is steel and has a metal belt loop. The bayonet has the original muzzle ring that overlaps the grips so that it can engage the foresight, see White & Watts, The Bayonet Book, pages 85 & 98 item 215. The price includes UK delivery. This is an early French Mannlicher Berthier Artillery Carbine M1892 1st Pattern bayonet and scabbard which retain its original quillon that has not been shortened and matching numbers 98979. This 1st Pattern bayonet was made to be used with the Mannlicher Berthier Artillery Carbine with black composition grips and small rivets which tended to crack the grips. This bayonet has a crack to the left hand grip at its rivet hole. This was common fault with the first pattern bayonet and the grips were altered to wood with larger rivets on the second pattern bayonet. The bayonet has a straight sword like polished fullered blade which measures 15 3/4" long. This is an excellent, original, U.S. Army Model 1873 Socket Bayonet For Springfield Trapdoor Infantry Rifles This model of bayonet was the last to be adopted as standard issue by U.S. Forces (see White & Watts item No 909 Pages 410 & 430). It has a 18" Tri-form blade which is straight and has just light staining. It measures 20.875” overall length. The blade is stamped ‘U.S’ (Army) above letter ‘S’ inspection mark. SCARCE, WW2 Italian Army Folding Bayonet For Model 1938 Mannlicher & Carcano M91/38 Rifles & Scabbard. BAYO 280 - BAYO 280 / 16128
This is a scarce, WW2 Italian Folding Bayonet For Model 1938 Mannlicher & Carcano M91/38 Rifles. It has a 7" single edged blade with fuller. The blued blade is clean. It has the correct small muzzle ring and the grip strap is stamped with a letter H and the number A 71408. Its press button folding action works perfectly (the button near to the hilt is pressed which allows the blade to be pulled forward and folded into a slot in the handle). When folded the bayonet measures 8 ¾” length & when open 11 ½”. It is complete with black metal scabbard which has a fixed belt bar and is stamped with a letter M within a diamond. An original No 7 MK 1 L, bayonet with swivelling pommel made for the No 4 Rifle and MK V Sten Sub Machine Guns. The 'L' designation is for Land Service. It was only issued to the Guards and a few other selected units. It has a 7 3/4” blade (12 ¼” overall) with bowie knife style blade and deep fuller to both sides. The blade and brown Tufnell grip are in great undamaged condition as is it's steel scabbard. The blade is stamped on the ricasso 'No 7 MK1/L' . There are no visible manufacturer marks. British Volunteer Bayonet With Sawback Removed. BAYO 254 - BAYO 254
This is a scarce bayonet which started life as a Volunteer sawback bayonet based on the pattern 1875 sword bayonet but has a heavier crossguard and a larger muzzle ring diameter. The bayonet was made by the Solingen trade for use by various colonial governments. The blade is marked with the trademark of Alex Coppel and has had the sawback removed. These bayonets were not necessarily intended for the Martini Henry rifle which explains the different muzzle ring diameter of many of these volunteer patterns. The muzzle ring diameter is 20.2mm .
