Boxed Post WWII Webley Senior .177 Calibre Air Pistol with Brown Grips and Accessories. AI 630. - AI 630
This is a Webley Senior air pistol made post WWII (see pages 77 & 79 of Webley Air Pistols’ by Bruce’). It is undamaged with brown vulcanite chequered grips correctly without Webley signature roundels. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Senior Made In England' together with 'oil' and arrow indicator pointing to the oil hole located on top of the cylinder. The right side is stamped 'Webley & Scott Ltd, Birmingham' *feint* and has the correct pre-war patents *feint*. The frame has serial number ‘S9132’. The forward barrel block is stamped '.177S' calibre & the front of the cylinder stamped with matching number '132'. The post-war barrel is correct with central knurled section which was introduced post WWII. It has correct blade foresight & adjustable rear sight. The original box has minor repairs to the edges and comes with internal instruction leaflet, barrel brush and pellets. The pistol cocks and fires crisply. The price includes UK delivery. *Scarce* Late 1910’s The ‘TITAN’ Mk 7 .177 Air Pistol. 20886. - 20886
This is a very late 1910’s to middle 1920’s Mk7 The ‘TITAN’ .177 air pistol in very good condition. The design of the pistol was patented by ‘Frank Clarke’ of 6 Whittall Street in Birmingham. The blueing on the main body is in excellent order with only age related wear to the trigger. The black vulcanite-like grips have fine chequering are undamaged and only have minor wear to the base. It has a 7” smoothbore barrel. The 1st patent was taken out by Frank Clarke in 1917. The pistols serial number is; ‘23’. The patent covered the sliding barrel over the air chamber and action cocked by means of a rod plunger through the rear of the action. See pages 167-170 of ‘A Collectors Guide to Air pistols 3rd Edition’ by Dennis E. Hiller. The pistol cocks and fires with a strong spring action. Boxed, Pre 1939 Webley Junior Series 1 .177 Calibre Air Pistol With Box Of Beatall Waisted .177 Calibre Lead Pellets. Sn 17328:1. - 17328:1
Post WW2 Junior Series 2 air pistol’s had shorter barrels than the pre War Series 1 Juniors. They also has plastic stock plates rather than tin stock plates which were fitted to 1st Series pistols. This is a pre War boxed Webley Junior Series 1 .177 Calibre Air pistol (see page 96 of Webley Air Pistols by Bruce). It is undamaged and finished in the white. It has the correct ribbed tin plate grips. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Junior .177 Patented In Great Britain No 219872 And All Principal Countries’. The left side of the cylinder is also marked ‘Made In England’. The right side has ‘Webley & Scott LTD Birmingham’. The frame is numbered ‘J13446’. ‘446’ is repeated on the front of the cylinder. There is an indistinct inspection mark on the barrel block which can be seen in the images. It has a blade foresight, adjustable rear sight and it cocks and fires as it should. It is contained in its original Brown background Webley labelled cardboard box with vivid Webley pistol imagery, Junior model detail and Webley's Birmingham address. Original Webley instructions are adhered to the inside of the box lid. The box contains a small cardboard ‘Beatall Waisted’ pellet box which contains a quantity of .177 calibre lead pellets. **RARE**FACTORY SPECIAL ORDER NICKEL OR CHROME PLATED**Early 1970's Webley Premier 'E' Series .22 Calibre Air Pistol. Sn 20709:34 - 20709:34
The Webley Premier 'E' series was introduced in 1972. The 'E' Series designation was stamped on the frame near to or under the left grip together with serial number. Early examples had Brown Plastic Grips (see 119/120 of Webley Air Pistols By Bruce). This is a rare to find Webley Factory special order nickel or chrome plated example in .22 Calibre. It is undamaged and has the early brown plastic grips with embossed Webley logos. The original plated finish has just small areas of age related tarnish. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Premier Made In England' and with the Company’s name and Birmingham address. The barrel block has calibre detail .22. The frame is stamped with the correct ‘E’ (Series designation). The front of the cylinder is stamped with serial or batch number ‘852’. It has a blade foresight & adjustable rear sight. 1931- 1939 Accles & Shelvoke Ltd .177 Calibre Side Lever Warrior Air Pistol. AI 673 - AI 673
In the 1930's, Accles and Shelvoke Ltd of Birmingham manufactured 'Acvoke' Air Pistols and Slaughterhouse Weapons. Between 1931 and 1939 the company produced their Warrior Air pistol. This is a good original .177 calibre example of the Warrior. It measures 8" overall with a 7" rifled barrel. Its blue finish which has areas of wear and light pitting consistent with age and use. It is side lever loading & has a bead foresight & adjustable rear sight. Its black chequered vulcanite grips are undamaged with just small areas of surface wear and have Accles and Shelvoke 'Medieval Helmet' roundels. The grip strap is stamped with serial number '2728'. The left side of the frame is faintly stamped 'THE WARRIOR ACCLES & SHELVOKE LTD, BIRMINGHAM'. The right ' F.CLARKE'S PATENT No's. BRIT 351268 USA 538057'. *Boxed* Post 1977 Webley Hurricane .22 Calibre Air Pistol & Accessories. Sn 20512:4. - 20512:4
Production of the Webley Hurricane began in 1977. The pistols replaced the Webley Premier MK II (see page 238 of The Collector’s Guide to Air Pistols by Hiller). This is an excellent example of the Webley Hurricane .22 calibre Air Pistol. The Pistol has an over lever action which has a strong spring and fires as it should. The body is marked with the Webley manufacturer’s detail and 'Hurricane' model. It has contoured target grips, safety catch, and adjustable rear sight & blade foresight. The pistol has its original brightly coloured Black and Green coloured box with Red inlaid tray, together with original accessories factory included when the pistol was 1st purchased. The accessories consist of its Webley guarantee leaflet and a box of targets together with Webley telescopic sight mount and a Webley pellet tin which contains a quantity of lead pellets. **WORLD’S SMALLEST* 1927-1935, German Tell II .177 Calibre Break Action Nickel Plated Smooth Bore Air Pistol. 20389 - 20389
Venus Waffenfabrik of Mehlis Germany produced the Tell II Air pistol between 1927 & 1935. It is made of tin plate and measured 5 ½” overall length. It was advertised as 'The World's smallest spring piston Air Pistol' (see pages 157 & 158 of The Collectors Guide To Air Pistols by Hiller). Its unique concentric design made it the Father of several full size Air Pistols. Before cocking the pistol, a lever is swung out from the rear of the grip to afford mechanical advantage while cocking is performed. The Pistols were only made in No 1 Bore/ .177 calibre. This Tell II .177 Air pistol is in very good condition, fully functioning with original nickel finish which is rubbed in areas consistent with age and use. This is a nice Webley Senior .177 Calibre Air pistol. It is undamaged with original finish and black plastic grips. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Senior Made In England' together with the serial No ‘S2737’ and Great Britain Patents. The right side is stamped 'Webley & Scott Ltd, Birmingham 4' and 'Webley Patents' (The pre 1958 area code 4 was removed from pistols post 1958 after a factory relocation, See Page 85 of Webley Air Pistols by Bruce). The forward barrel block is stamped 'S.177' calibre & the front of the cylinder stamped with number '737'. It has a blade foresight & adjustable rear sight and it cocks and fires perfectly with a strong spring action. See page 60 ‘Webley Air Pistols’ by Gordon Bruce for reference. *Excellent* Pre 1958 Webley Mark I .22 Calibre Air Pistol. AI 671. - AI 671
The Webley Mark I Air Pistol was produced between 1935 and 1964 with refinements being made to the model throughout the production period. This is a nice Post WW2 Webley Mark I Air Pistol. The pistol is stamped on the end of the cylinder with batch number "439". It has the correct Post WW2 milled barrel section to assist grip for cocking and grips with Webley roundels. It has ‘Oil’ with a curved arrow on the left side of the cylinder together with ‘The Webley Mark I Made in England’. On the left side just below the fore sight it is stamped with ‘.22 MK1’. The cylinder is stamped on the right side "Webley & Scott Ltd Birmingham 4" (Birmingham 4 was the Webley Pre 1958 address). It is also stamped ‘Webley Patents’. It retains its original blue finish *minor rub to the rear of the cylinder on the right hand side*. (See pages 67-73 of Webley Air Pistols by Gordon Bruce).
