C1930-1935 BSA 4th (Final) Series Standard No2 .22 (S Prefix) Air Rifle. 22041. - 22041 The serial No S50103 dates this rifle to circa: 1930-1935. When mention is made of the BSA Standard No1 and Standard No2 spring to mind., but it should be remembered that BSA referred to their full length .177 and .22 air rifles as the standard. In 1907 BSA used the term ‘ordinary pattern’ to differentiate the full length .177 from the light pattern, and by 1909 the company was calling the full length rifles the standard pattern. This example is in fine condition with some blueing missing to expose the nice metalwork. It has the usual BSA wording to the metalwork. The wooden stock is in very nice condition with a nice grain, it has no *notable marks and is the correct pre-WWII item with the BSA chequered trademark. The rifle cocks, loads and fires as it should at 7.26 ft/lb. See page 124 of ‘The Book of the BSA Air Rifle 1905 to 1939’ by John Milewski (available on our website). RESERVED RESERVED C1920 Militta Early Model Original V .177 Calibre German Made Air Rifle. 22052. - 22052 Maker F. Langham of Zella Street, Basil, Thuringia Germany and imported into Britain by Martin Pulvermann London. This Original V Model is dated between the middle of the 1920’s and the early 1940’s. Two versions were made, rifled and smoothbore. The smoothbores had a side push in button barrel release, whilst rifled with the under latch. It was advertised in two lengths, 42 ½ “and this one which is the 46” model. It has the correct chequered pistol grip, elevation adjustable rearsight, and metal tipped foresight. Its walnut stock has two metal caps (butt and grip) and is in very nice condition, with only minor age-related marks. The air chamber is stamped with a circular trademark bearing the letters F.L.Z, and ‘Original V’ within a circle is stamped on the stock. Original V is stamped on the top of the barrel. The serial number: L37042 is clearly stamped above the trigger guard to the left-hand side – 042 is also stamped below the loading port. C1933 BSA Standard No2 T Prefixed .22 Air Rifle. 21984. - 21984 The No2 Standard was prefixed with a T from January 1936. The rifle has a clear T-prefix serial number on the underside of the 3-hole trigger housing. The serial number of this example is ‘T 1960’ which dates it to between 1936 & 1939. This type of rifle originates from the work of a gentleman inventor and engineer Lincoln Jefferies. He held the original patent which was logged in 1906. It is a solid barrel and cylinder with an under-lever for re-charging the air piston. There is a loading Tap approximately halfway along the length of the weapon, which when tipped forward opens a chamber to place the pellet or steel ball bearing within. This is closed so sealing the chamber and the weapon is ready to fire. Just forward of the loading port are the rear sights which are adjustable. It has the correct flat top breach. The metalwork retains almost all its blueing with only minor signs of age-related wear *the foresight has been professionally brazed in place*. The woodwork is good with a few marks which is to be expected. The walnut stock is in good condition and has the BSA piled arms logo to one side and chequering on both sides of the pistol grip. 1922-1929 BSA Standard No1 (Aka 'L' Or Light/ Ladies Model) Second Series .177 Air Rifle. 21985. - 21985 1922-1929 BSA Standard No1 (Aka 'L' Or Light/ Ladies Model) Second Series .177 Air Rifle. 21985. This is an excellent B.S.A. Standard No. 1 Model 177 calibre, under lever air rifle. Also known as the 'L' or Ladies/ Light model it measures 39 ¾” overall with a 17" rifled barrel. Its original wood stock *age related marks- see images* has chequered panels at the pistol grip. The remaining identifying features of a second series standard were the same a s the late first series rifles and wee the rounded profile stock with heat impressed chequering. It has a ribbed butt with trap. The rifle has a pinched blade fore sight and adjustable dial rear sight. The metal work is undamaged with the majority of the original blue finish and is crisply stamped with the correct 'L' prefix serial number on the trigger block 'L21380' which dates it to 1922-29 (See page 117 of The book of BSA air rifle by John Milewski). German Diana Model 35 .22 Air Rifle. 21961. - 21961 The Diana 35 was the older brother of the Diana 27. Series 1 was produced from 1953 through to1964. Diana's model 35 was one of the most powerful spring guns in the 1950s. Series 2 was made until 1987. Dianas were sold in the U.S. under many brand names, which confuses collectors. The Winchester 435 is really a Diana 35. They were also known as Original 35, Peerless 35, Geco 35, Beeman 200 and HY-Score 809. The Diana 35 was the older brother of the Diana 27. It was produced from 1953 through to 1964, when it was revised into a modernised version that lasted through to 1987. So, that’s 1953-1964 for the first run, of which there are several variations and 1965-1987. It has an adjustable rear sight and shrouded fore sight with a rotating selection of different blades. The woodwork is in good condition for its age with some use related marks and has a chequered fore and pistol grip. The rifle retains 90% of its bluing. ‘Original Mod.35’ is stamped to the top of the barrel and ‘Made in Germany to the left-hand side of the barrel. The rifle cocks, loads and fires with a nice tight action. The price includes UK delivery. 1964-1975 Webley Mk 3 .22 Calibre Under Lever, Air Rifle. Sn 5409:25. - 5409:25 The Webley Mk 3 was introduced in 1946 and production finished around 1975 (See Pages 244 of Hiller's Book 'A Collectors Guide to Air Rifles'). The woodwork and metal work of this example are in nice condition with some scuffs and scratches to the left side of the stock. It has an 18 1/4" rifled barrel and measures 43" overall. It has a block and blade foresight and adjustable rear sight. The wood stock is inlaid with 'Webley' disc. The top of the air chamber is correctly marked with the Webley name and Birmingham address together with 'The Webley Mark 3' model detail (illustrated). The loading port is marked with '.22' calibre detail. It is under lever cocking & has an adjustable rear Target sight together with shrouded foresight and telescopic sight ramp. The rifle is serial number 'B5247' (Hiller's book has a B prefix serial number illustrated which he describes as being made between 1964-75. Some F prefix numbers have been since made during the same period). The loading and firing actions work perfectly. Price includes UK delivery. **MINT**German Weihrauch HW80K Hull Cartridge Import .22 Calibre Break Action Hunting Air Rifle with Factory Sound Moderator / Silencer & Nikko Stirling 3-9x50 AO IR MD Mountmaster Side IR Telescopic Sight. Sn 18085:32. - 18085:32 The Weihrauch name has been associated with solid build quality and reliability for many years. Introduced in the 1990’s the HW80 transformed the hunting rifle market. The air rifles were available as the HW80 (full size) and HW80K with shorter barrel. This is a near mint Weihrauch HW80K in .22 calibre. The rifle has a 19” barrel fitted with factory sound moderator and Telescopic sight. It measures 45” overall. It has superb woodwork and rubber shoulder recoil pad. The metal work retains all of its original blueing and the top of the air cylinder is grooved for telescopic sight. The barrel block is marked with model and calibre detail (illustrated in image 2). It is serial number '1880033' (dating it to 2013) and is marked by the British importers ‘Hull Cartridge’. The rifle cocks loads and fires with a nice tight action. It is fitted with a Nikko Stirling 3-9x50 AO IR MD Mountmaster Side IR Telescopic Sight in the same mint condition. The sight is stamped with manufacturer and magnification detail (illustrated). C1927 BSA Standard Second Series .22 Underlever Air Rifle with ‘S’ prefix. AI 603. - AI 603 The serial No S36694 dates this rifle to circa: 1927 (the series were made between 1922 & 1929). A 3 hole trigger block replaced the earlier 2 hole version when serial numbers reached around S14000 towrds the end of 1922. When mention is made of the BSA the Standard No1 and Standard No2 spring to mind, but it should be remembered that BSA referred to their full length .177 and .22 air rifles as the standard. Post War 1945- 1958, Webley Mark I, .177 Calibre Air Pistol. AI 760. - AI 760 The Webley mark 1 Air Pistol was produced between 1935 and 1964 with refinements being made to the model throughout the production period. This is a nice Post WW2 Webley Mark I Air Pistol. The pistol is stamped on the end of the cylinder with batch number "602". Diamond Knurl to the Mark I was introduced on 10th June 1939, but eventually altered to straight knurl on 13th JULY 1945. It has the correct Post WWII milled barrel section to assist grip for cocking and grips with Webley roundels. It has "Oil" with a curved arrow on the left side of the cylinder together with " The Webley Mark 1 Made in England". On the left side just below the fore sight it is stamped with ".177 MK1". The cylinder is stamped on the right side "Webley & Scott Ltd Birmingham 4" (Birmingham 4 was the Webley Pre 1958 address). It is also stamped "Webley Patents". It retains most of its original blue finish. (see pages 67-73 of Webley Air Pistols by Gordon Bruce). The pistol cocks and fires with a strong spring action. The price includes UK delivery. Post 1958 Webley Senior .22 Calibre Air Pistol with Brown Grips. AI 759. - AI 759 This is a nice Webley Senior .22 Calibre Air pistol. It is undamaged with brown plastic grips *Minor wear to right hand grip near trigger*. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Senior Made in England' together with 'oil' and arrow indicator pointing to the oil hole located on top of the cylinder. The right side is stamped 'Webley & Scott Ltd, Birmingham and with Webley UK & International Patents'. The forward barrel block is stamped '.22' calibre & the front of the cylinder stamped with serial number '1572'. The original blueing is 85% intact. It has a blade foresight & adjustable rear sight, and it cocks and fires perfectly with a strong spring action. (The pre 1958 Birmingham area code 4 was removed post 1958 after a factory relocation, See Page 85 of Webley Air Pistols by Bruce). See images for condition. The price includes UK delivery.
