**RARE**MINT BORE**1905-1908 Britannia Anglo Sure Shot MK1 Cox’s Patent .177 Calibre Break Action, Air Rifle ' Made Only For R. Ramsbottom, Manchester'. Sn 23387 - 23387 Britannia Anglo Sure Shot MK 1 air rifles were produced between 1905 -1908 (see page 12 & 13 of a Collector's Guide To Air Rifles By Hiller). The break action is achieved by a thumb operated, gate type, barrel latch which when pulled backwards releases the barrel and allows the weapon to be cocked and loaded. This is an excellent example with original wood & metalwork in excellent condition. It has a 22 ¼” stepped rifled barrel and measures 37 ½” overall. The bore is near mint, clean & bright with well defined rifling. The rifle has a blade fore sight and adjustable rear sight stamped ‘Patent’. The top of the frame is correctly stamped 'Cox's Patent' together with ‘Made Only For R. Ramsbottom, Manchester & 'Anglo Sure Shot Mark 1'. The left side is stamped with the Britannia name and trade mark. The steel stock frame and barrel section are stamped with numbers '3387' & ‘3369’. The frame is also stamped ‘RD 394207’. sold sold (11/10) 1990’s -2012 Theoben Rapid 7 .22 Calibre 7 Shot Rotary Magazine Bolt Action PCP Air Rifle With Sound Moderator & Nikko Stirling Mount Master 3-9x40 Telescopic Sight. Sn 23268 - 23268 The Theoben Rapid 7, introduced in the early 1990s by British company Theoben Engineering, revolutionized PCP airguns with its high-capacity buddy bottle, 7-shot rotary magazine, and rugged, simple, user-serviceable design. Renowned for accuracy and hunting power, it became an iconic, dominant, and often-copied platform before production ceased in 2012. This is a very good early Theoban Rapid 7 PCP air rifle (see page 532 of The Blue Book Of Airguns by Beeman). It has all original wood work with stippled pistol grip and rubber recoil pad. It has its air bottle, sound moderator and 7 shot rotary magazine. The rifle has been chrono’d at a respectable 10.37 Ft Lbs power and is fitted with Nikko Stirling Mount Master 3-9x40 Telescopic Sight. All optics of the sight are excellent. The blued metal work is very good and has Theoban model & calibre detail (all illustrated). It is serail number 001113. The price includes UK delivery. Boxed Post 1977 Webley Hurricane .22 Calibre Air Pistol & Accessories. Sn 23207 - 23207 Production of the Webley Hurricane began in 1977. The pistols replaced the Webley Premier MK II (see page 238 of The Collector’s Guide To Air Pistols by Hiller). This is an excellent example of the Webley Hurricane .22 calibre Air Pistol. The Pistol has an over lever action which has a strong spring and fires crisply. The pistol retains all of its original black finish. The frame is marked with the Webley manufacturer’s detail and 'Hurricane' model. It has contoured target grips, safety catch, adjustable rear sight & blade foresight. The pistol has its original brightly coloured Black and Green coloured box with Red inlaid tray. The inside of the lid has illustrated instructions for care & use. A previous owner has wrapped the lid in clear cellophane to protect it during storage. The accessories consist of an RWS Diablo pellet tin containing a quantity of .22 calibre lead pellets, a metal target holder with pellet catcher tray & the pistol’s original allen key tool with metal Webley key ring. Crossman 2250B Ratcatcher CO2 .22 Calibre Compact Air Rifle & Telescopic Sight. - MISC 1017 This is an excellent Crossman 2250B Ratcatcher .22 CO2 single shot bolt action carbine. The compact air rifle has an ABS Stock and fore end and a rifled barrel. The guns condition is excellent with all of its original bluing present and no damage to the stock. The gun is fitted with a Webley 1.5 x 15 telescopic sight mounted on top of the action. The lightweight 3lb 6 oz gun has an easy CO2 cartridge loading system and up to 35 to 40 shots from one CO2 capsule and shoots with a velocity of up to 550 ft per second. The gun has the serial number 703B12026 stamped on the left hand side. The pistol loads and fires perfectly. The price includes UK delivery. Boxed, Pre 1958, Webley Senior .177 Calibre Air Pistol With Brown Grips. AI 851 - AI 851 This is a very good Webley Senior .177 Calibre Air pistol. It is undamaged with brown plastic grips. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Senior Made In England' together with 'oil' and arrow indicator pointing to the oil hole located on top of the cylinder correctly highlighted in white. The right side is stamped 'Webley & Scott Ltd, Birmingham 4' and 'Webley Patents' (The pre 1958 Birmingham area code 4 was removed post 1958 after a factory relocation, See Page 85 of Webley Air Pistols by Bruce). The forward barrel block is stamped '.177' calibre & the front of the cylinder stamped with serial / batch number '1828’. The rear of the cylinder is correctly marked ‘Not to be removed’ highlighted in red. It has a blade foresight & adjustable rear sight and it cocks and fires with a strong spring action. 1970's Webley Premier MK II .22 Calibre Air Pistol. Sn 22956 - 22956 An excellent Webley Premier MK II air pistol (see 133 to 141 of Webley Air Pistols By Bruce). This example is in .22 calibre. It is undamaged and has the correct alloy frame which has all of its original blue finish. It has the correct black chequered panel plastic grips with embossed Webley logos. The left side of the cylinder has the correct foil insert marked 'Webley & Scott Ltd Webley Premier MK II Made In England'. The front of the cylinder is stamped with serial or batch number 830. It has a blade foresight & adjustable rear sight and it cocks and fires crisply. The price includes UK delivery. Early 1906-1907 B.S.A Improved Model Lincoln Jeffries Patent .177 Calibre Underlever Air Rifle With Early Bayonet Catch Lever ( no protective side fences), Pistol Grip Stock Variant. Sn 23041 - 23041 This is a very good B.S.A. ‘Improved Model’ Lincoln Jeffries Patent Air Rifle. Although classified as Improved Model, ‘Improved’ was never stamped on the cylinder of these air rifles until introduction of The Improved model B in 1907 (see pages 42 to 44 of The Book Of BSA Air Rifles 1905-1939 by Milewski)’. These rifles were made with both straight hand and pistol grip stocks. This example of the improved model has its original wood stock with pistol stock and correct chequered panels. The stock is impressed with BSA’s pyled arms Trade mark. The underside of the stock is impressed with 14 ¼” (stock length). It has a steel butt plate, a 19 ½” barrel and measures 43 ½” overall. It has what looks like a period replacement blade for sight and adjustable dial rear sight. The metal work has original blue finish. The loading port is crisply marked ‘Load’ and has faint BSA pyled arms trademark. The underside of the bayonet cocking lever has Lincoln Jeffries patent information (illustrated). The top of the cylinder is correctly crisply marked 'BSA Air Rifle Made By The Birmingham Small Arms Company Limited'. The loading tap is correctly marked ‘P.Pat’. The rifle is serial number ‘15978’ which is stamped on the trigger block. The top of the shoulder stock has 4 old hand carved notches most likely a previous owner recording hunting kills. The trigger block has what looks like a later replacement screw. The top of the trigger block has been factory milled most likely to accommodate an additional rear sight. VERY RARE, 1977 Manufacture Only, Weihrauch HW 35LS Lochschaft .22 Target Air Rifle with Interchangeable Blade Foresight. Sn - 22880 The Weihrauch name has been associated with solid build quality and reliability for many years. Weihrauch’s range of solid, accurate springers have been a popular choice for air gunners. The HW 35LS Lochschaft, (German for a thumb-hole stock) was only produced in 1977 and is seldom encountered. The rifle has a 19 ½ inch barrel with an overall length of 44 ½ inches. The air rifle is the exceedingly rare Lochschaft version fitted with the thumbhole stock. The wooden stock is in excellent condition and is not the plastic version. The air rifle is in .22 calibre and is fitted with the target interchangeable foresight. The rear sight is the standard Weirauch sight. The air rifles barrel block is stamped on the left hand side of the barrel HW35 Made in Germany Kal 5.5. the right hand side of the barrel is stamped Weirauch Mellrichstadt – Bay and carries the serial number 719244, The air rifles blueing is in excellent condition with only minor rubbing from use. **RARE & UNUSUAL**1925-1935 German Hubertus Push Barrel Spring Piston .177 Calibre Air Pistol. AI 812 - AI 812 A rare Hubertus .177 Calibre Air Pistol manufactured by Hubertus Metal Works, Mollin, Germany between 1925 and 1935 (see pages 98 & 99 of Hiller’s book ‘The Collector’s Guide To Air Pistols’). They are a push barrel spring piston single shot pistol modelled on a pre war German Semi Automatic pistol and this example is the smooth bore version. It has an unusual cocking method. Firstly the barrel is pushed in until it engages the sear, the circular collar is then pulled back the barrel then drops down allowing the rear of the cylinder to be exposed. A pellet is then inserted and the barrel pulled back fully out of the cylinder (assisted by grip grooves at the muzzle), tilted horizontally and the collar re engaged by pushing it forward to secure the cylinder. The pistol is then fired in the conventional manner. This particular pistol is in very good overall condition and retains its original blue finish aged to plum colour in areas. It is crisply marked ‘D.R.G.M Hubertus Germany’ on the left side of the action and is serial number 10571. The original wood grip is undamaged and has a hand carved diamond cartouche on one side. It has an 8” barrel & measures 10 ½” overall length. The top of the frame has fixed open sights. The pistol cocks and fires with a strong spring action.
