*Rare ‘Healthways Sharpshooter 175’ .175 BB Air Pistol. AI 748. - AI 748
Healthways a U.S owned company distributed its air weapons through its sole U.K distributor ‘Parke-Hale Ltd’ in Birmingham. Our example the ‘Sharpshooter 175’ was known as the ‘Model 9100’ in the U.S. Firing up to 50 .175 BB’s and weighing 800g it is a nice looking pistol emulating a ‘Luger’. Serial No 0235642. It has sport blade front sights and fixed rear sights. The grips are durable checked epoxy brown and it has an integral frame. The barrel length is 6 ½ “. The pistol is in very good condition showing age related wear in parts, it cocks and fires crisply. A very rare collectors piece. *RARE*1956-1958 B.S.A. First Model Airsporter MKI .22 Calibre, Under Lever, Air Rifle With ‘GB’ Prefix Serial Number. AI 731 - AI 731
A very good condition B.S.A, MKI First Model Airsporter, .22 Calibre Air Rifle. It is serial number GB6071 which dates it to between 1956-1958 (see Page 48 of Hillers Book 'A Collectors Guide to Air Rifles'). The woodwork and metal work are all original & in excellent undamaged condition with only minor marks to the forestock and very light age related wear to the barrel and trigger guard, which appears to have been repainted. First Model MKI's were not grooved for telescopic sight and on this example the grooves are correctly absent. The cylinder mark ‘The Birmingham Small Arms Co Ltd Airsporter .22 Air Rifle Made In England’ together with BSA’s piled arms trademark isn’t visible. The forestock has finger grooves and the butt is ribbed. It is fitted with adjustable flip up rear sight & shrouded foresight . The rifle is 44” overall length. BSA Mercury MkII (1974-1978).22 Air Rifle and BSA 4x20 Scope. AI 729 - AI 729
The BSA Mercury is a break barrel, spring powered, Air Rifle first produced in 1972 by the Birmingham Small Arms Company and then Gamo (UK) Limited. It was manufactured in .177 (4.5 mm) .22 (5.5 mm) and .25 (6.35 mm), the latter named the "635 Magnum". The Mercury was marketed between the BSA Meteor and Air Sporter models and was a light, easy to use rifle, giving a "just under legal limit UK power" of 11.5 ft/lb (15.6 J) of energy. Rifle Length: 104 cm. Barrel Length: 47 cm. Weight: 3 kg. BSA MERCURY is printed on the top of the cylinder. BSA Guns England Cal .22 is printed on the barrel, and the serial No – ZB 34085 (which dates the rifle between 1974 & 1978) is printed beneath the barrel. The blueing on the barrel and cylinder is in good condition. The black cap at the end of the cylinder has some use related marks. The rifle has a shrouded blade fore sight and adjustable rear sight. The rifle comes with an original and BSA 4x20 Scope and rail mount. The rifle cocks, loads and fires with a nice tight action (5.52 ft/lbs). A ‘DIANA MODEL 16’ .177 Air Rifle. AI 727 - AI 727
This Diana Model 16 is marked ‘Made in Great Britain’ with the Diana trademark on the cylinder (which later changed to British Made), these were made by Millard Bros Ltd in Motherwell, Lanarkshire between the late 1940's and 1974, it's marking indicates it was from the earlier period of manufacture, it has retained most of its original blued finish, with some minor rust speckling on the barrel which has the correct V blade sights. The stock has retained most of its varnished finish and is relatively mark free; it bears no visible serial number. The rifle cocks, loads and fires with a nice tight action. The stocks grip has the odd age related mark. Weighing 1.2kg and 82 ½ cm in length (firing at 0.75 ft/lbs) it was clearly aimed at the ‘Childs first gun’ market. The price includes UK delivery. Boxed, Webley Premier 'E' Series .22 Calibre Air Pistol. AI 726. - AI 726
The Webley Premier 'E' series was introduced in 1972. The 'E' Series designation was stamped on the frame near to or under the left grip (see 119/120 of Webley Air Pistols By Bruce). This is a very good Boxed, Webley Premier 'E' Series .22 Calibre Air Pistol. It is undamaged, only showing very minor signs of age related wear, with original finish and black plastic grips with embossed Webley logos. The left side of the cylinder has its original manufacturer's sticker 'Webley & Scott Ltd, Premier, Made in England'. The front of the cylinder is stamped with batch number '294' and under the grip. It has a blade foresight & adjustable rear sight and it cocks and fires perfectly with a strong spring action. The pistol is contained in its near mint original cardboard box with Webley labelling, imagery and components list. The box contains its original instructions (See 'A Collectors Guide to Air Pistols by Dennis E. Hiller pages 221-236). The price includes UK delivery. Boxed, Post 1958 Webley Senior .177 Calibre Air Pistol with Brown Grips. AI 725 - AI 725
This is a nice Webley Senior .22 Calibre Air pistol. It is undamaged with brown plastic grips. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Senior Made In England' together with 'oil' and arrow indicator pointing to the oil hole located on top of the cylinder highlighted in original white paint. The right side is stamped 'Webley & Scott Ltd, Birmingham and with Webley Patents'. The forward barrel block is stamped '.177' calibre & the front of the cylinder stamped with serial number '768'. It has a blade foresight & adjustable rear sight and it cocks and fires perfectly with a strong spring action. The pistol is contained in its original Webley cardboard box with Pre 1958 Birmingham 4 address Webley labelling & imagery (The pre 1958 Birmingham area code 4 was removed post 1958 after a factory relocation, See Page 85 of Webley Air Pistols by Bruce). Original 'instructions for use' are adhered to the inside of the lid and an original price list of component parts and spare part price list code sheet. 1970’s Spanish, El Gamo Military Pattern A.S.I. Paratrooper Single Shot .22 Calibre Break Action Air Rifle. AI 721 - AI 721
During the 1970`s the Spanish Air Weapon manufacturer El Gamo produced their Paratooper Air Rifles. They were available in both single shot and repeater form. This is a good single shot example. It has a Military type plastic figured shoulder stock with recoil pad and pistol grip. It measures 38” overall with an 18” rifled barrel. It is fitted with original adjustable rear sight stamped with Deer’s head trademark & shrouded blade fore sight. The top of the air cylinder is marked by the manufacturer ` El Gamo` with the manufacturer`s logo and `Made in Spain`. The barrel block is stamped .22 Calibre detail and serial number ‘9953. It`s loading & firing action work crisply. The right side of the frame has remnants of its its original label ‘ A.S.I. Paratrooper Accurate Fire-Power’. The price includes UK delivery. 1947-1951, B.S.A Cadet .177 Calibre Break Action Air Rifle,‘BA’ prefix serial number. AI 716 - AI 716
This is a B.S.A Cadet .177 Calibre Air Rifle. BSA was responsible for the production of over 50% of all British small arms produced during WWII. In 1945 they decided to increase their air rifle production, and introduce their new Cadet air rifle. The Cadet when new, was capable of putting out 8ft/lb and was advertised as being able to take rabbits out to 50 yds. The rifle was popular amongst young adults and adults alike. This Cadet has a ‘BA’ prefix serial number ‘BA82130’ which dates it to between 1947-1951 (see Page 34 of Hiller’s Book 'The Collectors Guide to Air Rifles'). The woodwork is showing signs of age related use, and there is evidence of a repair to the top of the butt. The metalwork has a nice patina, with small marks to the rear of the cylinder and the underside of the barrel. It has a 15" clean rifled barrel and measures 37 ½” overall. It has a winged blade fore sight and fixed rear sight. The stock is crisply impressed with the BSA Legend (illustrated). The loading and firing actions work as they should. *Early Model* 1959-1962 B.S.A Meteor Mk 1 .22 Calibre Break Action Air Rifle 'T' Prefix Serial Number. AI 715 - AI 715
The BSA Meteor is a break barrel spring powered rifle first made in Birmingham, UK, in 1959 by The Birmingham Small Arms Company and the first BSA air rifle engineered to fit a telescopic sight. It is one of the world’s bestselling air weapons with over 2 million sold worldwide. Marketed as an introductory rifle for plinking, hunting and firearm training as a replacement for the BSA Cadet, it is available in .177 (4.5 mm) and .22 (5.5 mm) calibre with standard or carbine length barrels. The spring and piston are compressed by breaking the barrel through 125° before loading a pellet directly into the breach. The barrel is then returned into place and secured with a detent lock. The single-stage trigger is adjustable for pressure. The sights are metal with the front sight being able to be switched from a bead to a blade and the rear adjustable sight could switch between a "V" and "square notch". The cylinder has two shallow grooves to accept a telescopic sight. The top of the barrel is stamped ‘BSA GUNS LTD ENGLAND’ followed by a BSA piled arms symbol and the air chamber is stamped ‘BSA METEOR’ to the fore of the scope grooves. The rifle is in very good condition, with a nice aged patina to the bluing, with only a few age related marks to the barrel. The stock is nicely aged showing signs of use *Butt end underside is showing signs of wear*. The rifle is firing at a respectable 7.81 ft/lbs. The price includes UK postage.
