This is a very good Victorian Royal Fusiliers Officers Pill box hat. It is 7 1/4 inches in diameter at its widest point and 2 1/4 inches high. It has a scarlet crown and body with lower blue band and blue braid crown Austrian knots and button. The hat is mounted with its original Queen Victoria Crown bullion embroidery Royal Fusiliers badge and has a thin cord chin strap. It has a tan quilted silk sweatband and crown with gilt manufacturer mark ‘A.J. White London 74 Jermyn Street St James London SW’ together with Royal appointment ‘Hatter To The Royal Family’ & heraldic arms. This is an excellent original War Dept marked, WW2 dated Gurkha Uniform pill box hat. The hat, which has a thin leather chin strap, is good quality, 8 inches in diameter at its widest point and 4 inches high with central wool bobble at the crown. It is dark Navy blue with red piping. It has a clean soft leather sweat band. It has no damage, mothing or repair. The sweat band bears its original printed paper label ‘Hobson & Sons London Ltd’ together with 1940 date, WD arrow and size ‘6 ¾’. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 11837

The Royal Flying Corps (RFC) was the air arm of the British Army before and during the First World War, until it merged with the Royal Naval Air Service on 1 April 1918 to form the Royal Air Force. This is an excellent original British Royal Flying Corps (RFC) Pilot’s side cap. Made of cotton it has a quilted lining and embossed brass Kings crown heraldic arms buttons. It has its original large WW1 Era 'King's Crown RFC' brass cap badge. The cap including its lining has some service wear and stains consistent with age. The cap is approx UK size 6. RARE, ORIGINAL, 1922-1937 Irish Free State Army Officer’s Dress Shako With Bullion Embroidered Free State Cockade. HE 857 - HE 857 / 11646
In 1922 after much civil disorder between Loyalists and Republicans including the Easter Rising of 1916 the Irish Free State was established in 1922 under the Anglo-Irish Treaty signed by British and Irish representatives. The Free State had its own armed forces. The Free State came to an end in 1937, when under the new constitution the Irish state was named Ireland (Eire). This is an original Irish Free State Army Officer’s dress Shako. It has a dark blue cloth over a hard body with red piping around the body and the bullion embroidered Free State cockade in the centre. It has a red cloth crown with gold and black piping and intricate embroidered geometric design. It has a patent brim with patent strap and Free State embossed buttons either side. The shako has its original liner and the leather sweatband is impressed ‘Real Calf Leather’. The shako is clean and undamaged. It is approx. UK size 6. Price for this rare Shako includes UK delivery. The Belgian Rexist movement and the Fascist Vlaamsch Nationaal Verbond (VNV) party achieved some electoral success in the 1930s. The party gained rapid support for a brief period. Many of its members assisted the Nazi occupation during World War II. This is a rare, original, pre WW2 Belgian Fascist VNV Party Side Cap. The cotton side cap has some light staining and evidence of service use. The cap is piped with green trim. The cap is mounted with 3 white metal VNV Party Eagle cap badges. It is approx UK size 6. WW2 1942 Indian Punjab Regiment Burma Issue Tropical Slouch Hat With Divisional/ Formation Patch, Pagri Headband & Chin Strap By J Wear & Co. Sn 11553 - 11553
The Indian Punjab Regiment is one of the oldest Regiments still in service in the Indian Army. The Regiment served with distinction in WW2 fighting against the Japanese in Burma. The Regiment suffered a total of 2744 casualties including 990 killed. This is an original WW2 Tropical Slouch Hat To the Punjab Regiment. It has its original khaki Pagri headband and its khaki body is undamaged. It has its original ventilation holes at the edge of the crown and press stud fastener on the left side of the brim and skull. The right side of the skull is stitch mounted with its original embroidered Officer's cloth Divisional/ Formation Patch with Kings Crown and Garter Star together with the Regiment name ‘Punjab’. Mint Unissued Condition Scots Guards Piper’s Glengarry Mounted With Blackcock Hackle & Piper’s Regimental Badge. Sn 11516 - 11516
The Scots Guards, part of the British Guards Division, is one of the Foot Guards Regiments of the British Army. Their origins lie in the personal bodyguard of King Charles I of England and Scotland. Its lineage can be traced as far back as 1642 since which time it has served with distinction in all conflicts involving British Forces. This is a mint unissued Scots Guards Piper’s Glengarry. It is fully lined with black material and has correct black ribbon tassels and red pom-pom. Its original Metal Glengarry Scots Guards Regimental Pipers badge is mounted on a bed of black ribbon. The rear of the badge has the correct 2 mounting lugs and split pin. Its black and white Blackcock hackle is in the same mint condition. It is approx. UK size 6 ½. WW2 Scots Guards Officer's dress cap with guards cap badge by Edward Smith, Bond Street, London. The cap has a black crown and top with gilt piping. The top is in very good undamaged condition with no bare areas or rips. The gilt piping is in good condition and secure. The lower side is red, white and black checkered. This has slight staining as can be seen in the photographs. The peak is black patent with gilt wire and edged in patent black piping. The cap badge is the Guards cap badge, it is silvered, gilt and enamelled. It is in good condition and has the two wearers loops to the reverse and secured with a brass pin. Inside it has a leather and velvet sweat band which is in good condition. It has a silk crown with gilt tailors stamp to "Edward Smith 25, Cork Street, Bond Street, London". WW2 1942 Canadian Scottish, Lorne Scots Regiment Tam O Shanter Bonnet War Dept Marked By BMC Cap Manufacturing Co Canada With Large Regiment Cap Badge. Sn 11013:1 - 11013:1
The Lorne Scots (Peel, Dufferin and Halton Regiment) is a Primary Reserve infantry Regiment of the Canadian Army. It is part of the 4th Canadian Division's 32 Canadian Brigade Group. During WW2 the Regiment provided personnel and reinforcements for all defence requirements of The Canadian Army. As a result, numerous Lorne Scots defence units served in the Mediterranean, & North-West Europe. This is an excellent original WW2 Tam O Shanter to the Canadian Scottish. It's khaki serge material is clean with no damage or mothing. It has the correct cotton adjustment cord and bears it's large metal Lorne Scots badge with Scottish Lion, King's Crown Thistles and Banners with Regiment name mounted on a field of red cloth. The rear of the badge has the correct lug mounts and split pin. The top of the Tam O Shanter has a brown wool bobble. It's quilted liner is nicely marked with WD arrow and by the manufacturer 'BMC Cap Mfg Co Winnipeg Canada' together with 1942 date and size '7 1/4'. Price includes UK delivery. Sn 11013:1

WW2 Auxiliary Training Service Officers Side Cap and A.T.S. Cap Badge Size 6 7/8. The side cap is in near perfect unworn original condition, showing no signs of ever being worn in service. The cap is brown with green piping. It has two brass ATS buttons at the front and on the left side a cloth and brass A.T.S. cap badge is sewn on. The patch is three layers, red on green on brown and stitched onto the cap. The brass A.T.S. cap badge, complete with wearers slider is slid onto the patch. The inside of the cap is cotton lined and in near mint condition, showing no signs of having being worn. The cap still has the original paper size label "6 7/8" inside as can be seen in one of the photographs. The price includes UK delivery. HE 852
