WWII Nazi Issue West Wall Medal and Ribbon. N 113. - N 113
The West Wall Medal (German: Deutsches Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen) was a decoration of Nazi Germany. It was instituted on 2 August 1939 and was given to those who designed and built the fortifications on Germany's western borders, known as the Westwall or, in English, the Siegfried Line, between 15 June 1938 to 31 March 1939. On 13 November 1939 eligibility was extended to include servicemen of the Wehrmacht who served on the Westwall for at least ten weeks. In all 622,064 medals were awarded until 31 January 1941, when awards of the medal ceased. In 1944, after the allied invasion, the medal was re-instituted and awarded to those who renovated and strengthened the fortifications on the western borders. This version of the medal was commonly known as the "Defence Wall Honour Award", to distinguish the decoration from its 1939 counterpart. In excellent order and UK delivery is included in the price. **Scarce** WWI Iron Cross and Ribbon 2nd Class. N 112. - N 112
On 17 March 1813 King Frederick William III of Prussia who had fled to non-occupied Breslau (today Wrocław) – established the military decoration of the Iron Cross, backdated to 10 March (the late Queen Louise's birthday). The Iron Cross was awarded to soldiers during the Wars of Liberation against Napoleon. Before a soldier could be awarded with the Iron Cross 1st Class, he needed to have been decorated with the Iron Cross 2nd Class. It was first awarded to Karl August Ferdinand von Borcke on 21 April 1813. The first form of the Iron Crosses 1st Class were stitched in ribbon to the left uniform breast. By order of 1 June 1813, the 2nd form was created in cast iron with silver borders, and 8 loops on the reverse, to be fixed to the left uniform breast. In 1817 a total of 670 chevaliers had received the Iron Cross 1st Class. This excellent example has a makers mark on the ring ?. It carries its original black and white ribbon. *Original* C1939 Nazi German Army Buckle and Leather Belt. N 108. - N 108
The eagle on the first pattern ‘Wehrmacht Heer’ buckle was initially faced to the wearer’s right as had the Weimar eagle. This however was soon changed to a design with the eagle facing the wearer’s left, in which form it remained to the end of the war. The reason for the change is unclear but it may have been to bring it into line with the political eagle that face it’s left. From its introduction in 1936 the one piece buckle was produced with either a bright metal finish or a factory paint finish of olive green for combat use. (See German Belt Buckles 1845-1945 page 124 by Peter Nash) This example is brass coloured polished metal with the makers mark to the rear ‘O.L.C.’ in a diamond (Overhoff & Cie's). The leather belt measure 42” outstretched and is in good condition. Price includes UK delivery. N 108. (Top of Drawers)

*Original* German WWII Army Belt ‘Heer’ Buckle. N 103. - N 103
The privately purchased bright metal buckle, which came in 45mm and 40mm inner widths (this is the 45mm version) was worn only with the walking out dress uniform and then only with privately purchased belts. The head of the eagle on the initially introduced ‘Heer’ buckles looked to the right. However, for some unexplained reason early in 1936 the eagles head was changed to looking to the left. In March 1936 new regulations regarding ‘Reichsadler’ and the eagles head returned to looking to its right. The pins and loop are in excellent order. See page 71 in ‘Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich’ by John R. Angolia. The price for this guaranteed original buckle includes UK delivery. N 103.

RESTORATION PROJECT**ORIGINAL**WW2 Era Nazi German Wehrmacht Torn EB Radio Set With Telefunken EH333 German Bakelite Headphones & Baumuster T1 Morse Key. N 93 - N 93
This is an original WW2 era Wehrmacht Torn EB Radio Receiver. The radios were meant to be carried on the back of a soldier, and the units are called Tornister' and Empfanger the German word for receiver, the letter 'b' in the designation simply indicates which receiver type. The designator was shortened to Torn E b. The Torn E b was created around 1935/36. It was in general use with the German Signal Corps, but also at higher army staffs, police and traffic control authorities. Our set has the correct original knobs, tuning dial and switches with german Labelling but its original identification plates are absent. TheTorn. E. b was the radio foot soldier of the Wehrmacht. Produced in very large quantities by the Telefunken firm, this direct-amplification receiver was robust and could be quickly fixed in the field. Starting in 1943, Germany started losing the war, and began material and labour conservation efforts.Materials such as aluminum and steel were replaced with dark gray and heavy zinc alloys. Our example is not working and is sold as a restoration piece. The steel casing retains its field green paint and has stencilled lettering ‘TORN Eb’. The set measures 13 ¼” x 9” x 8 ¼”. The top of the case has a hinged carry handle. With the case is an original set of Telefunken EH333 German Bakelite Headphones , high impedance (4000 OHMS) used across the range of German wireless equipment and they have the correct cord & two pin plug for this set together with an original WW2 German Baumuster T1 Morse Key Anf.Z:Ln 26902 dating to 1934 1944, and used extensively in larger aircraft in conjunction with a wide range of radios. Also used by Wehrmacht and anywhere that transmitted using morse code. They were made by several manufacturers. (this radio set is only a receiver and did not need a morse key but as an interesting original piece is included). All parts are sold as seen and we cannot give any guarantee regarding functionality.
