Double Barrelled, Side By Side, 12 Bore, Lever, Break Action Hammerless Shotgun By W. Kavanagh & Sons, Dublin. Sn 7021. - 7021
This is a good double barrelled, side by side, 12 bore, lever, break action hammerless shotgun by W. Kavanagh & Sons, Dublin. It's steel barrels are 28 inches and the overall length is 45 inches. The metal furniture on the wooden fore end and side plates have fine scroll work etching. The side plates are crisply engraved ' W. Kavanagh & Sons' and the top of the barrel rib is marked ' W. Kavanagh & Sons 12 Dane Street, Dublin'. It has a lovely walnut stock which is in great condition with an as new rubber recoil pad. The weapons' metal work is in nice undamaged condition with even patina throughout. It breaks and dry fires. It has a safety safety catch slide positioned behind the top lever. This is a good double barrelled, side by side, 12 bore, lever, break action hammerless shotgun by Linsley Brothers, Leeds & Bradford. It's steel barrels are 28 inches and the overall length is 44 inches. The metal furniture on the wooden fore end and side plates have fine scroll work etching. The side plates are crisply engraved ' Linsley Bros' and the top of the barrel rib is marked ' Linsley Bros Makers, 10 Commercial Street, Leeds & Bradford'. The stock is in great condition. The fore stock tip has had a contemporary repair but it is perfectly secure. The weapons' metal work is in nice undamaged condition with even patina throughout. It breaks and dry fires. It has an auto safety feature and the safety catch 'SAFE' indicator positioned behind the top lever is nicely highlighted in bold 'bronzed' lettering. Italian, Bernardelli, Model 60, 9mm Semi Automatic Pistol. D 1109. - D 1109
In 1959 Vincenzo Bernardelli of Gardone V.T., Italy began production of the Model 60 semi automatic pistol. It had a modern blowback design and was available in a range of Calibres. This is a nice example of the Model 60 in 9mm calibre. It has a 3.5" barrel (6 1/2 " overall). It has a lightweight alloy frame and blued steel slide. The top of the slide is serrated to reduce glare. Safeties included a left side mounted thumb safety, half cock hammer and a magazine safety. The metal work is complete and undamaged with original finish. It has great undamaged black plastic checkered grips which are contoured and chequered. The left grip bears a deeply impressed roundel containing the Vincenzo Bernardelli ' VB' initials. The right grip contains a deeply impressed roundel containing the Company's 'crossed arms' legend. The left side of the slide is crisply stamped with the manufacturer's name, factory and calibre detail ( illustrated). The left side of the frame and slide are stamped with numerous inspection marks and it's serial number ' 14803'. The Pistol cocks, strips and dry fires. 1953, Spanish Mauser, 7.52 mm, Bolt Action Rifle. D 1083. - D 1083
The Spanish made Mauser Bolt Action Rifle was developed from the Mauser Gewehr 98 line of weapons. This example is in nice condition. It's metal work has nice patina throughout and it's wood work is undamaged. It is nicely stamped on top of the breech housing ' Fabrique De Arms, La Caruna 1953 with coat of arms motif' and is complete with sling swivels. The weapon cocks and dry fires perfectly. Austro- Hungarian Mannlicher M95 8mm Carbine. Sn 6548. - 6548
This is an excellent example of an M95 Steyr straight pull bolt carbine. The M95 was first manufactured at the Steyr plant and then in Budapest at an Island Arsenal set up by Steyr. This is one of those and the breech is stamped 'Budapest M95 (illustrated). These weapons were used throughout WW1 and in 1930 the Austrian Government updated this carbine for the 8 x 56R cartridge and the sights altered. The receivers were stamped 'S' for Stutzenkarabiner. When the Nazi's came to power these rifles and carbines were given to Bulgarian Units. They were also standard issue for the Russian Navy. The wood furniture of this weapon is in great condition as is the metal work which has a nice patina throughout. This is an original, nice condition WW2 Enfield No. 4, MK I, .303 calibre Rifle. The rifle has undamaged wood furniture and metal work and is complete with an original sling. The weapon cocks and dry fires perfectly. The rifle was made in December 1943 and is marked R.O.F. ( Royal Ordnance Factory) Fazakerley 12/43 on the left side of the bolt housing. This is a Victorian double barrelled, side by side, 12 bore break action hammer shotgun by W.S. Needler of 27 Silver Street, Hull, Yorks. 1845-1870. It's steel barrels are 30 inches and the overall length is 47 inches. The metal furniture on the wooden fore end and hammers have light scroll work etching and bears the makers name. Czech Model VZ45 6.35mm Double Action Pistol ( Sn D 1037) - D 1037
This is quite a scarce 6.35mm / .25auto pistol the Czech [CZ] vz 45. It is a double action pistol with a single piece wrap round grip. This pistol is number Z516340. Manufacture vz. 45 pistols began in the year 1945 and in the following year the MNO [Ministry of National Defense] ordered 11,000 of these modernised pistols not only for its own units, but also as personal sidearms, which could be obtained by officers and technical sergeants. The pistol was used as a personal sidearm by officers of the SNB [Sbor Narodni Bezpecnosti, or National Security Corps], members of CSD [Ceskoslovenske Statni Drahy, or Czechoslovakian State Railways] security, and was also used for many years by members of the Transportation Service Police [a division of Czechoslovakia Public Security (VB), the uniformed branch of police], who had the option of using a personal sidearm on duty, and who frequently preferred the CZ vz. 45. The serial number of vz. 45 pistols is generally stamped upon the right side of the receiver over the triggerguard. Initially pistols were made at Strakonice then production was transferred to the primary branch of Ceske Zbrojovka at Uhersky Brod. Pistols made here are stamped on the left side as follows:ESK ZBROJOVKA - PRAHA. Forward of this was marked the traditional company emblem. On the opposite side of the legend was stamped a circle along with the caliber designation: 6.35. This is one of those pistols. A scarce item. This pistol cocks, strips and dry fires. WW2 Nazi Marked, German 27mm, 'ayf' made, 1942 dated, Trench/ Flare Signal Pistol. Sn 6177 - 6177
This is a great example of a WW2 Nazi German 27mm Trench/ Flare Signal Pistol made by "ayf" which is H Geipal GmbH Waffenfabrik, Erfurt (ERMA) Zeitenstrasse 54 plant produced in 1942. The pistol has no signs of damage or repair and retains 90%+ of it's original matt black finish. It has great condition un damaged original black chequered plastic grips, cocks and dry fires perfectly. It is complete with it's original military lanyard ring. The pistol has matching serial numbers on the frame and barrel. On the Right hand side of the frame and chamber, the pistol is profusely Waffenampt marked (illustrated) and on the left side of the frame nicely stamped with the maker's mark and date 'ayf 42'. WW2 Type 90 Japanese Naval DOUBLE Barrelled Flare / Signal pistol. ( Sn. 5636) - 5636
This is a very rare example of an Imperial Japanese Navy double barrelled 28mm Flare/ Signal pistol. Introduced in the Japanese year '2590'- 1930, it was given the designation 90 using the last 2 digits of their year. Only 10,300 were ever made and many of those were lost at sea, as a result they are very scarce. This example is in it's original, as found, condition. The black grips are original and complete. The pistol retains it's lanyard ring, selector switch, safety switch and barrel opening lever. The rear cocking lever ring is absent. The pistol measures 7 inches overall with 2x 4 1/2 inch barrels. It is well marked and along the breech has the markings for 'Kayaba Seisakusho' ( Kayaba Manufacturing Co.), the Naval anchor and Japanese military inspection mark. The serial number is 3320. The pistol is complete apart from the cocking lever and has been sympathetically deactivated. This is a very rare item. Price includes deactivation certificate and UK delivery. ( Sn. 5636)
