WW1 British Issue, U.S.A Made Smith & Wesson Officer's .455 Calibre Service Revolver. Sn 8640. - 8640
This is a good, clean WW1 .455 Calibre Smith & Wesson Military Revolver. It has a large frame & 6" barrel, original chequered grips with S&W roundels inset and military lanyard ring. The top of the barrel is nicely stamped with the Smith & Wesson, manufacturer's name, Springfield USA address & 1901-08 patent details. The left side 'Smith & Wesson .455'. The right side of the frame is marked with the S&W Trade Mark. The frame of the pistol has British acceptance marks indicating that this weapon made in the USA was issued to the British Army. Although a new spec deactivation this weapon has an open barrel which is pinned. The pistol strips, cocks & dry fires. Price includes deactivation certificate and UK delivery. Sn 8640.

WW1 1915 Berlin Mauser G 98 Rifle. Sn 8636. - 8636
An original, WW1 1915 dated Mauser G 98 Rifle. It has original excellent condition, woodwork and metalwork with steel butt plate. The breech housing is crisply stamped '1915' and '1920' indicating that the rifle was refurbished and rebarrelled to 7.92mm after WW1 use and re issued in 1920. It is also stamped with manufacturer's detail & 'Berlin' (illustrated). The side of the housing is crisply stamped with model detail 'G.E.W 98' (Gewehr 1898) and with inspection marks. The Rifle is without cleaning rod and rear sling swivel. It strips, cocks and dry fires perfectly. Price includes UK delivery and deactivation certificate. Sn 8636.

SOLD SOLD (LAY-AWAY) WW2 1945 Nazi German Mauser K98 Rifle By dou Waffenwerke Bruenn, Bystrica, With Hebrew Markings (Captured & Sent To Israel) With Sling. D 1241 - D 1241
This is a great condition, original, WW2 1945 dated German Mauser K98 Rifle. It has an adjustable rear sight and is complete with bayonet bar & steel butt plate. It has all original wood and is fitted with original leather sling. The breech is crisply stamped 'dou 45' which is the Nazi German Wartime code for Waffenwerke Bruenn, Bystrica, Czechoslovakia & 1945 date. The magazine plate is crisply waffenamt '214'. The weapon has several inspection marks/ numbers and interestingly has Hebrew markings on the breech which indicates that this rifle was one of many captured during WW2 and sent to Israel for use in the War to create their Nation State. French, Model 17 'Unique' 7.65mm Semi Automatic Pistols were used by the French resistance during WW2. This is an excellent original example. It has undamged metal work and grips and is fitted with military lanyard ring. The left side of the slide is crisply stamped with calibre and manufacturer detail (illustrated). The frame & slide are both stamped with 'Crown AN' proof marks. The right side of the frame is stamped with number ' 78565'. The pistol cocks and dry fires as it should. Post WW2 Police Issue (Tillhor Polisen) Manurhin Walther PP 7.65mm Semi Automatic Pistol. Sn 7963. - 7963
Walther's original factory was located in Zella-Mehlis,Thuringia, Germany which was occupied by the Soviet Union. Following World War II, Walther established a new factory in Ulm, however, for several years following the War, the Allied powers forbade any manufacture of weapons in Germany. As a result, in 1952, Walther licensed production of the PP series pistols to the French company Manurhin who manufactured the PP series until 1986. This is an excellent Manuhrin made Walther PP 7.65 mm Semi Auto Pistol. It retains all of it's original finish to the blued metal work and has black Plastic grips. The grips are embossed with the Manuhrin manufacturer's cartouche & 'Lic Walther PPK'. The left side of the slide is crisply marked with the manufacturer's and Licence detail 'Manurhin, Manufacture de Machines du Haut-Rhin, Made in France. Lic Excl Walther, Mod PP Cal 7.65mm'. The right side of the frame & slide are stamped with matching serial numbers ' 407665'. The right side of the slide is also stamped ' Tillhor Polisen'. The butt is fitted with a Police issue lanyard ring. The pistol is complete with Walther magazine stamped with the Walther Banner & calibre detail. C1921 German Mauser G98 Rifle made by BRNO Czechslovakia ( Sn 7884. ) - 7884
At the end of WW1 The Treaty of Versailles ordered Germany to disarm and Firearms production in Germany ceased. However German Rifles and munitions continued to be produced in other countries including the Mauser G 98 Rifle. This is a lovely Czech made G 98 Rifle. The breech is crisply stamped by the Czech manufacturer 'BRNO' together with ' CS. ST. Zerojovka'. It is stamped with matching numbers '7442' on the breech & barrel. All wood work is original and in excellent condition. It has a steel butt plate and is fitted with bayonet lug & sling swivels. The weapon cocks & dry fires perfectly. WW1 American Wooden Ammunition Box For the Browning Model 1917 Heavy Machine Gun. The box was made to hold 30.06 belted ammunition as can be seen in the second photograph. It has a hinged lid which opens upwards and a metal spring loaded catch to lock the lid. The spring catch works smoothly. The box has a serial number stamped on the catch "C 46089" and a further serial number stamped on the hinge "A8792A" The box measures 32cm x 20cm x 12cm. It has a webbing carrying handle. This is an excellent original WW1 German Army Maxim Machine Gun Ammunition box for 7.92mm Maxim Machine Gun rounds. Apart from superficial scuffs to the body which is to be expected of an original WW1 piece and is consistent with Military use, this Ammo box is in great undamaged condition. It measures 7 3/4" x 15" x 4 1/4 " and is of standard Military construction of wood with sturdy metal band edges. It has it's original recessed, metal bar carry handle and full hinge. It also has it's original push button, sprung closing mechanism and latch which functions perfectly. The lid of the box has original, contemporary white and red paint lettering (illustrated) and the inside of it's lid bears original lettering stamped in black ink ( illustrated). The metal furniture on the wooden fore end and side plates have fine scroll work etching. The side plates are crisply engraved ' W. Kavanagh & Sons' and the top of the barrel rib is marked ' W. Kavanagh & Sons 12 Dane Street, Dublin'. It has a lovely walnut stock which is in great condition with an as new rubber recoil pad. The weapons' metal work is in nice undamaged condition with even patina throughout. It breaks and dry fires. It has a safety safety catch slide positioned behind the top lever. It's steel barrels are 28 inches and the overall length is 44 inches. The metal furniture on the wooden fore end and side plates have fine scroll work etching. The side plates are crisply engraved ' Linsley Bros' and the top of the barrel rib is marked ' Linsley Bros Makers, 10 Commercial Street, Leeds & Bradford'. The stock is in great condition. The fore stock tip has had a contemporary repair but it is perfectly secure. The weapons' metal work is in nice undamaged condition with even patina throughout. It breaks and dry fires. It has an auto safety feature and the safety catch 'SAFE' indicator positioned behind the top lever is nicely highlighted in bold 'bronzed' lettering.
