RARE, 1920's Webley Mark 1, .177 Calibre Air Pistol. AI 593 - AI 593
This is a rare 1920's Webley Mark 1, .177 Calibre Air Pistol (See pages 16 to 20 of Bruce's book Webley Air Pistols). It has undamaged metal work and even patina throughout. It has it's original correct slim wood grips with inlaid Webley 'winged bullet' roundel in the left grip. The left side of the frame is stamped number '31169' and the cylinder 'Webley & Scott Ltd Birmingham & London' manufacturers detail together British and International 1925 Patents. The right side is stamped 'Webley Air Pistol Mark I' together with 'Made In England' and 1923/24 International patents'. The forward barrel block is stamped 'MK1 .177'. It has an adjustable rear sight & blade fore sight. The left side above the trigger has the correct safety catch feature. The pistol cocks and fires with a strong spring action. The Webley Premier MK II Air Pistol was produced between 1975 and 1977 (see page 143 of Bruce's book Webley Air Pistols). It is undamaged with original finish and black plastic grips with embossed Webley logos. The left side of the cylinder has it's original manufacturer's identification label 'Webley & Scott Ltd, Premier MK II, Made In England'. The front of the cylinder is stamped with serial number '604'. The forward barrel block is stamped '.22' (calibre). It has a blade foresight & adjustable rear sight. This is a Webley Junior .177 Calibre Air pistol. It is undamaged with original finish which has patches of wear to the cylinder consistent with age and use. It has black plastic grips with embossed webley logos. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Junior .177 Webley & Scott Ltd Birmingham Made In England' (In 1958 Webley relocated their factory from Birmingham 4 to Birmingham 21 Postal area. Weapons produced after 1958 were marked either Birmingham or Birmingham 21). The front of the cylinder is stamped with number '903'. This is an excellent Boxed, Webley Premier 'E' Series .22 Calibre Air Pistol. It is undamaged with original finish and black plastic grips with embossed Webley logos. The left side of the cylinder has it's original manufacturer's sticker 'Webley & Scott Ltd, Premier, Made In England'. The front of the cylinder is stamped with batch number '849' and under the grip 'E' (Series) together with matching batch number and dated '7.74' (July 1974. It has a blade foresight & adjustable rear sight and it cocks and fires perfectly with a strong spring action. The pistol is contained in it's original cardboard box with Webley labelling & imagery. The Webley Premier 'E' series was introduced in 1972. The 'E' Series designation was stamped on the frame near to or under the left grip. Early examples had Brown Plastic Grips (see 119/120 of Webley Air Pistols By Bruce). This is an excellent example in .22 Calibre. It is undamaged and has the early brown plastic grips with embossed Webley logos. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Premier Made In England'. The frame near the left grip is stamped with the correct large E (Series designation). The front of the cylinder is stamped with number '615'. Boxed, Post 1958, Webley Senior .22 Calibre Air Pistol With Brown Grips. AI 586 - AI 586
This is a Webley Senior .22 Calibre Air pistol. It has undamaged brown plastic grips with Webley roundels. The blue finish has some wear and scratches consistent with age and use. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Senior Made In England' together with 'oil' and arrow indicator pointing to the oil hole located on top of the cylinder. The right side is stamped 'Webley & Scott Ltd, Birmingham' and 'Webley Patents' (The pre 1958 Birmingham area code 4 was removed post 1958 after a factory relocation, See Page 85 of Webley Air Pistols by Bruce). The forward barrel block is stamped '.22' calibre & the front of the cylinder stamped with number '769'. It has a blade foresight & adjustable rear sight. It cocks and fires perfectly with a strong spring action. The pistol is contained in it's original Webley cardboard box with Webley labelling & imagery. 1945- 1958, Webley Mark 1, .177 Calibre Air Pistol. Sn 9449 - 9449
The Webley mark 1 Air Pistol was produced between 1935 and 1964 with refinements being made to the model throughout the production period. This is a nice Post WW2 Webley Mark I Air Pistol. The pistol is stamped on the end of the cylinder with batch number "938". It has the correct Post WW2 milled barrel section to assist grip for cocking and grips with Webley roundels. It has "Oil" with a curved arrow on the left side of the cylinder together with " The Webley Mark 1 Made in England". On the left side just below the fore sight it is stamped with ".177 MK1". The cylinder is stamped on the right side "Webley & Scott Ltd Birmingham 4" (Birmingham 4 was the Webley Pre 1958 address). It is also stamped "Webley Patents". It retains it's original blue finish. (see pages 67-73 of Webley Air Pistols by Gordon Bruce). The pistol cocks and fires with a strong spring action. The price includes UK delivery. This is an original boxed Webley Junior .177 Calibre Air pistol. It is undamaged with original finish and black plastic grips with embossed webley logos. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Junior .177 Webley & Scott Ltd Birmingham 4 Made In England' (In 1958 Webley relocated their factory from Birmingham 4 to Birmingham 21 Postal area. Weapons produced after 1958 were marked either Birmingham or Birmingham 21). The front of the cylinder is stamped with serial number '052'. It has a blade foresight & adjustable rear sight and it cocks and fires perfectly with a strong spring action. It is contained in it's original Webley labeled cardboard box with vivid Webley pistol imagery, Junior model detail and Webley's Birmingham 4 address. Original instructions are adhered to the inside of the lid of the box. The box also contains a plastic oil bottle with Webley labelling. The bottle contains a small amount of gun oil. Rare, Boxed, Post 1940's, 2mm Lead Shot Calibre Milbro Cub 'Automatic' Repeating Air Pistol Marked R. Boulet, Paris With Accessories. Sn 7376 - 7376
The Milbro Cub 'Automatic' Air Pistol was patented in France and production began in the late 1940's (see page 443 of the Blue Book Of Air Guns By Beeman). The Cub has a gravity feed tube magazine that was advertised to hold approx 500 2mm lead shot pellets and firing the pistol is achieved by manual grip compression of the black 'raw rubber' bulb built into the pistol's grip. The pistol is of one piece cast alloy construction and has the correct 'raw rubber' bulb at the grip (The bulb has gone solid with age). These quirky pistols have no moving parts and were legendary for their weak power. Both sides of the frame are marked 'Milbro Cub Calibre 2mm .55' and the butt is crisply marked 'R. Boulet Paris' together with British licence/ Patent detail (illustrated). The pistol is contained in it's original cardboard box with high colour Milbro labelling and imagery. The box contains 2 original Milbro pellet boxes one of which contains a quantity of lead pellets, a number of original spare Milbro washers in original packaging, an additional perished raw rubber bulb and original illustrated instructions.
