DEACTIVATED INERT. The 20 mm Anti-Aircraft Machine Cannon M/38 was produced by the Danish company Dansk Industri Syndikat DISA (Danish Industry Syndicate) in Copenhagen prior to World War 2 and was used by the Danish military with different types of gun mounting for aircraft, AA and anti-tank use, although it was only successful in the anti-aircraft role. Kynoch of Great Britain made a variety or rounds for export for this gun. This is a unfired British Kynoch made Masden 20x120 T2 tracer round. The brass percussion primed case is headstamped MASDEN 20MM T2 K (Kynoch) 54(1954 date) and is fitted with a brass primer held in with a single ring crimp. The copper driving banded black steel projectile retains most of its original painted finish with red and green bands signifying a tracer round. This a German 20mm MK 151/20 (20x82) HE (High Explosive) aircraft cannon round fitted to various German aircraft during WW2, including the Me109, FW190, various night fighters and bomber aircraft. The grey lacquered steel cartridge case is percussion primed and is headstamped wb (Hugo Schneider AG, Berlin-Koepenick) 44 (1944 date) 159. The brass percussion primer has a red annulus. The copper driving banded steel projectile retains much of its original yellow painted finish and is stamped round its circumference MW 20c. The round is fitted with an alloy AZ1504 nose fuse which is stamped AZ1504 AD 1940 7 waffemampt 57. Both projectile and cartridge case have no cracks. INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an unfired 1935 dated armour piercing trace (AP/T) round for the Swedish 20mm Pvkan m/39 (Solothurn S18-1000) and Lvakan m/39 (Rheinmetall) Anti-Tank Rifles manufactured by Polte Armaturen- u. Maschinenfabrik AG, Magdeburg, later renamed Polte-Werke for the Swedish government for use by their anti-tank rifles. The round consists of a brass cartridge case which is headstamped P 35 (1935 date) Waa 780. The steel armour piercing trace projectile has a copper driving band and retains much of its original light brown painted finish with a 6mm wide white band above the copper driving band. the projectile is stencilled in black above the driving band 40/10 Waa732. The round was also interchangeable with the Lhati L-39 anti-tank rifle. INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an unfired 1944 dated, WW2 German 20mm High Explosive/Trace (HE/T) self-destroying round for the German 2cm Flak 30 and 38 anti-aircraft guns. Although these guns were originally used as anti-aircraft guns, they could be used to great effect in close support ground fire. The round has a brown lacquered steel percussion primed cartridge case. The brass percussion primer is unfired and has a red annulus. The round is headstamped avt ( Silva-Metallwerke GmbH, div. of Polte, Magdeburg) 44 (1944 date) 104 and waffenampt 468. The high explosive tracer projectile has had a quarter section taken out of it to show its inner of the projectile including the flame channel from the tracer element to the high explosive to initiate the self-destruction if the projectile. The projectile is stamped above the iron driving band nct 1d 44 (1944 date). The projectile is fitted with an alloy AZ49 nose fuze which is stamped round its circumference AZ49 czx (Brennabor Werke AG, Brandenburg) waffenampt 288. INERT DEACTIVATED. Unfired, British, British Marco Made Oerlikon 20mm KAA/5TG (20x128) APCR (Armour Piercing Composite Rigid) ¾ Sectioned Cannon Round. - O 1993
INERT DEACTIVATED. The Oerlikon KAA/5TG cannon used in a manually-controlled mounting built by BMARC (British Manufacture and Research Company) under the designation A41/820 and was developed from the original Oerlikon cannon that armed many allied ships during WW2 as an anti-aircraft gun. The gun was installed on many British warships after lessons learnt in the Falklands War. This is a British made Oerlikon KAA/5TG, APCR (Armour Piercing Composite Rigid) round with a 1/4 section cut out to reveal its tungsten carbide penetrator which is contained in the alloy projectile. The alloy projectile has a copper driving band and is not fitted with a tracer element. The green coloured steel cartridge case is screwed in the base for a screw in primer and is headstamped 191 BM (British Marco) 82 (1982 date) Oe (Oerlikon).
