WW2 1943 Nazi German Third Reich City Of Bremen Police Shako With Cockade. Sn 13907:7. - 13907:7
This is the very distinctive helmet of the German Police and was worn from the 1920's right up to 1945. The helmet is made and shaped from green wool fibre. This helmet was made by "H. Becker Berlin". The shako is in excellent original condition and is complete with the black leather chin strap with two alloy buckles and alloy strap ends which are slotted for removal from the side alloy lugs. The leather is undamaged. The top is black leather and stitched to the helmet. The helmet body is green fibre and moulded to the unique shape. The peak and neck peak appear to be black leather with a green finish inside. There are two side vents either side. To the front it has an alloy cockade to the City Of Bremen. On the inside it has an 8 tongue leather sweat band. The inside of the sweat band is ink date stamped ‘1943’. The crown has a nice manufacturer’s label ‘H. Becker & Co GMBH C2’ size marking ‘57’ and a contemporary paper label with the typed name ‘Oberm Muller S6’ no doubt the name and designation of the Police Officer who was issued with this Shako. An excellent, post 1952 New Zealand Police Male Constable's/ Sergeant's 6 Panel White Summer Helmet With Queen’s Crown Helmet Plate and Chin Strap. It has an excellent exterior finish with correct 6 panel buff leather covered construction,vented top mount and headband. Both sides of the helmet have ringed ventilation holes. It is fitted with its original metal Queen’s Crown New Zealand Police plate. Inside it is in excellent condition with a leather sweat band, leather lining and leather chin strap with buckle. The inside of the sweat band has contemporary ink hand writing ‘W. Gilchrist’ most likely the name of the Police Officer issued with the helmet. The size is approximately UK size 7. A WW2 Era / pre 1952 Blackburn Police male Constable's/ Sergeant's 6 panel ball top helmet with King's Crown helmet plate. This is an excellent example of the Blackburn Police. It has an excellent exterior finish with correct 6 panel construction and ball top with vented top mount and headband with side rosettes. It is fitted with its original metal Kings Crown plate with central containing Arms of Blackburn. Inside it is in excellent condition with a leather sweat band and leather lining. The lining has contemporary ink hand writing ‘A29’ most likely the collar number of the Police Officer issued with the helmet. The size is approximately UK size 7. The price includes UK delivery. Derbyshire Constabulary Male Constable's/ Sergeant's Blue Serge 2 Panel Police Helmet With King’s Crown Night Helmet Plate. Sn 12999 - 12999
During the 19th and 20th Century the County and Boroughs of Derbyshire have been policed by four different Police Forces. The Forces were amalgamated into the Derbyshire Constabulary in 1947.This is a very good, male Constable's / Sergeant's helmet of the Derbyshire Constabulary. It has a Navy blue 2 panel body, blackened rose boss and a Derbyshire Constabulary King’s Crown blackened metal helmet night plate. The inside has a leather sweat band and leather chin strap (the chin strap has become detached on one side at some point in its life but could easily be repaired). The sweatband is impressed with partially readable manufacturer and size roundel ‘****Webb Ltd London’ & size ‘7 1/4’. Hampshire Constabulary is the territorial police force responsible for policing the counties of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight in South East England. The force area includes the historic city of Winchester, and the largest city in South East England of Southampton and the naval city of Portsmouth. The force also covers the New Forest National Park, sections of the South Downs National Park, and large towns such as Basingstoke, Eastleigh, Andover, Fareham and Aldershot. The constabulary, as it is currently constituted, dates from 1967 but modern policing in Hampshire can be traced back to 1832. This is a very good, male Constable's / Sergeant's helmet of Hampshire Police. It has a blue serge body, rigid combe to provide greater protection during public disorder with chromed combe plate and Hampshire Police Queen’s Crown (QE II) chromed metal helmet plate. The inside has a red silk sweat band with white nylon straps and string adjustment cord. It has a black nylon chinstrap. Inside it has the remnants of a paper manufacturer’s label. 1968 - 1974 British Manchester & Salford Police Male Constable's / Sergeant's Blue Serge Helmet By Christy’s London With Helmet Plate. Pol 395 - Pol 395
Manchester and Salford Police was a police force in England from 1 June 1968 to 1 April 1974. It was created as a merger of the Manchester City Police and Salford City Police and covered the adjacent county boroughs of Manchester and Salford. It was amalgamated with parts of the Lancashire Constabulary and Cheshire Constabulary under the Local Government Act 1972 to form Greater Manchester Police. This is a very good, male Constable's / Sergeant's Helmet of Manchester & Salford Police. It has a blue serge body, rigid combe to provide greater protection during public disorder with chrome combe plate and Manchester & Salford Police Queen’s Crown (QE II) chromed metal helmet night plate. The plastic chin strap is present but snapped. The inside has leather sweat band with string adjustment cord and chinstrap. The sweatband has an ink stamp ‘6 7/8’ (size). It has a handwritten ink Police Officer’s number ‘A14’ possible the A Division (Bootle Street, Manchester). The sweatband is also impressed with Christy’s logo. Price includes UK delivery. Pol 395
