A Royal Ulster Constabulary Male Constable's/Sergeant's Custodian helmet with blackened Queens Crown night badge. The R.U.C. was founded on 1 June 1922 out of the Royal Irish Constabulary (R.I.C.). At its peak the force had around 8,500 officers with a further 4,500 who were members of the R.U.C. Reserve. During the Troubles, over 300 members of the R.U.C. were killed and almost 9,000 injured in paramilitary assassinations or attacks, mostly by the Provisional I.R.A., which made, by 1983, the RUC the most dangerous police force in the world in which to serve. This is an excellent post WW2 male Constable's/Sergeant's helmet of the R.U.C. It has a perfect exterior finish with a black ribbed band and top 'dome' complete with the correct blackened Queens Crown night badge to the front. Inside it is in excellent condition with a leather sweat band over side cork inserts for extra comfort and a string adjustment cord and chinstrap. It has a size "7 1/8" and "3 68 8265" in white inside along with a black ink stamp on the sweat band "7 1/8". The price includes UK delivery. Sn 10270

Original Victorian Prison Officer's Hanger/ Side Arm With Scabbard & Later Original 1922 Dated Leather Frog By Hiatt Birmingham . Sn 12626 - 12626
This is a very good original Victorian Prison service Hanger/ Side Arm. It has a 24” curved blade with fuller. The blade has just light staining consistent with age. Its Shagreen handle is in good order with a steel hand guard & stepped pommel. The cross guard has a scabbard retaining catch with steel button which is present and functions perfectly. The overall length of the sword is 30”. Its black leather covered wood scabbard with steel mounts is in nice undamaged condition and is fitted with an original later frog with belt loop and retaining strap with buckle. The rear of the frog is impressed ‘ Hiatt Birm’ & dated ‘1922’. All leather & stitching of the scabbard and frog are intact. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 12626

MINT, SCARCE PRODUCTION, 1960’s- 1970’s British Police/ Diplomatic Protection Wilkinson Sword Steel / Titanium TR-3 Flexible Body Armour. Sn 12320 - 12320
These heavy sets of body armour (over 7 Kilos) were used by British Police/ Special Branch Officers deployed on diplomatic protection duties during the 1960's and 1970's. This set is in superb condition with no sweat stains, penetration marks, burns, or signs of wear. The body armour made by the prestigious company Wilkinson Sword London has stitched panels which contain flexible Steel/ Titanium linked scales. The armour has reinforced seams, velcro straps and panels at the shoulders and waist which are adjustable. The front and rear armour sections wrap around the body to provide side protection. The inside of the front and back sections both have Wilkinson Swords cloth label, and size tab ‘40’ (40 inch chest) together with ink stamp ‘TR-3’ (designation). Pre 1952 Scottish Constabulary ACPOS (Association Of Chief Police Officers Scotland) Chief Constables, Deputy Chief Constables & Assistant Chief Constables Uniform Police Cap By Christy’s London With ACPOS Kings Crown Bullion Thistle Cap Badge. Sn 12146 - 12146
The Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland (ACPOS) ceased to operate on April 1, 2013 when the eight forces and the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency merged to form a single service known as Police Scotland. ACPOS was the collective organisation of Chief Constables, Deputy Chief Constables and Assistant Chief Constables from the eight Police Forces in Scotland. The Scottish Constabulary crest was designed by Mr Cairns, Art Master at Dumfries Academy in the early 1930s at the request of the Chief Constables' (Scotland) Club to be a badge to be identifiable with the Scottish Police Service. This is an original Scottish Constabulary ACPOS Senior Police Officer’s Cap. The cap has the ACPOS embroidered bullion Scottish Thistle cap badge topped with King’s Crown indicating manufacture prior to 1952 with banner and latin motto ‘Semper Vigilo’ (Always Vigilant). The badge is illustrated in image 2. The hat has a black plastic chin strap held by two black buttons to the sides and patent leather peak with bullion braid. The braid has some service wear. The cap’s crown, body and chequered headband are in excellent undamaged condition with no mothing. The inside of the cap has a clean brown leather sweat band with number ‘189’ handwritten in ink and crisp Christy’s of London impressed stamp highlighted in gold (illustrated inset in image 2). The clean red silk head lining also has a crisp Christy’s ink stamp in gold. This is an excellent original Police cap. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 12146

This is an excellent quality original WW1 wooden Police Presentation Truncheon to a Special constable who saw service during WW1 and beyond until 1919. It is 15 ¼” length and made of the traditional heavy Lignum vitae hard wood. It has a highly coloured Kings Crown with Royal Cypher (George Rex) together with Oldham Heraldic arms above '1916-1919' date. It has a deep grooved grip with rounded end. 1933-1959 Dated, Birmingham City Police Special Constabulary Commander’s Presentation Truncheon With Sterling Silver Hallmarked Plate To Special Commander G.M. Washbourne. Sn 12123 - 12123
This is an excellent Special Constabulary Presentation Truncheon to a Specials Commander who served prior, during and after WW2. It is 15 ¾” in length and has Queen’s Crown & ‘ER’ (Elizabeth Regina) in bold colours. Below the Arms. The truncheon is mounted with a rectangular hall marked silver plate plaque 23mm x 55mm inscribed ‘Birmingham City Police Special Constabulary Commander G.M Washbourne November 1933 To April 1959’ (hallmark illustrated inset in image 2). The staff has a deep grooved grip with rounded end fitted with original leather wrist strap. The wood is undamaged with no dents. A Mid-Anglian Constabulary Custodian Helmet, size 7. It has a chrome comb and chrome Queens Crown helmet plate. There is a chrome band with rosettes and a single vent either side. Inside it has a leather sweat band which is stamped with "7" (size 7) and an adjusting cord. It has a handwritten name "P.S. D16 Barrett" and a makers stamp of 'Christy's London'. This is a good condition, Kings Crown (Pre 1953) Kent Constabulary Police Constable's/Sergeant's 2 panel helmet with a WW2 King's Crown night helmet plate and leather chin strap, size 6 7/8". It has a perfect exterior finish with correct 2 panel construction and ornate black painted vented rose top mount and headband with side rosettes. The rose and headband have the original blacking. It is fitted with it's original blackened two piece King's Crown plate with central silvered Kent crest. Inside it is in very good condition.
