Boer War & WW1 Era 1900 Dated British WD Cavalry Lancer’s Leather Lance Holder Cup For Saddle Attachment By Ross & Co. Sn 14699 - 14699
This is an excellent Boer War & WW1 Era British Cavalry Saddle cup lance holder used as a saddle attachment to support heavy Lances carried by Cavalry lancer regiments. The open top & open bottom cup is made of quality brown hide. It has the correct ‘wing’ with eyelet and strap loop for saddle attachment. The leather is clean and intact and has heavy reinforced stitching. The cup is 4 ¼” length, 7" wide from 'wing' tip to outer edge of cup's rim. The mouth of the cup opening is 1 ½” diameter. The ‘wing’ is stamped and dated by the manufacturer ‘A.Ross & Co Ltd 1900’. It also has a WD inspection mark. The inside of the cup has a small cloth label with contemporary hand written letters and numbers which are indistinct. All markings are illustrated inset in image 2. The body of the boot is impressed ‘9’ and ‘AY CI 63’ (illustrated inset in image 2). It has sturdy reinforced stitched edges. This is an excellent Boer War & WW1 Era British Cavalry Saddle 'Bucket' Holster For Martini Henry & Enfield carbines. The open top bucket is made of quality brown hide and has brass rivets, rings, bar and buckles with leather straps. The bucket is impressed with WD arrow and other numbers together with ‘16L’ to the 16th The Queen's Lancers (a Cavalry Regiment of the British Army, first raised in 1759. It saw service for two centuries, before being amalgamated with the 5th Royal Irish Lancers to form the 16th/5th Lancers in 1922). All markings are illustrated inset in image 2. This original WW1 British Mounted Infantry ammunition bandolier has the correct 9 individual ammunition carrier pouches with full flap covers capable of carrying 90 x .303 calibre rounds in total (10 in each pouch). Each carrier has heavy rivets and stitching together with a single brass stud to secure the flap covers. The bandolier is fitted with its original heavy duty brass buckle. The leather is impressed with 1918 date together with manufacturer name 'M.Harvey & Co Ltd’ and ‘Walsall G&M’ (illustrated in image 2). All leather rivets and stitching are present & intact. This original Nazi marked Leather Holster for Luger 9mm parabellum pistols is in excellent condition. Made of dark Brown Leather cow hide, the holster has an open top magazine pouch on its right aspect and has a strap with buckle to the front. The holster has 2 belt loops to the rear. The rear is Waffenamt, dated 1938 and has a crisp manufacturer’s roundel ‘C.Weiss Braunschweig’ (all illustrated). The inside of the holster has the correct stripping tool pocket with stud and flap cover and has its original leather ‘quick draw’ strap with leather toggle. RARE, WW1 Era British WD Royal Naval Division Officers/ Royal Naval Air Service Pilots & WW2 Royal Navy Officer’s .455 Webley MK VI Service Revolver Holster 1940 Dated By ‘PHd’ With Shoulder Strap. Sn 14138 - 14138
This is a rare British Naval .455 Webley MK VI Revolver holster. These holsters were issued to WW1 era British Royal Naval Division Officers & Royal Naval Air Service pilots. They were also used by Royal Navy Officers during the early years of WW2. The dark brown leather holster completely covers the Webley pistol to avoid sea water coming into contact with it. The holster is riveted for the same reason. The holster seam is completely riveted with 13 copper rivets. The muzzle cap is also riveted. The large holster has a full flap cover with retaining strap with eyelet to the body and single brass stud to the flap. The underside of the flap is stamped by the manufacturer ‘PHd’ together with 2/40 date (Feb 1940) and War Dept arrow. The rear of the holster has an adjustable leather shoulder strap with brass buckle secured to the body of the holster by rivets and a large riveted belt loop. This is an excellent WW1 British Officer’s brown leather open top holster for use with Sam Browne belt rigs. The holster is open top with retaining strap with eyelet and brass stud to the body. The muzzle end of the holster is also open. The rear of the holster has a stitched pocket for cleaning rod which holds its original brass cleaning rod, a stitched tab with brass buckle and 2 additional adjustable leather straps with brass buckles to allow the holster to be worn on either the left or right side of a Sam Browne belt rig. A WW1 British Officer's Sam Browne belt, .455 Webley Service holster, Ammunition Pouch, Sword Frog and cross belt, all in excellent condition. The belt is in excellent condition and is supple and has a very nice patina. It retains all of the brass loops and equipment hook. It also has the leather belt keeper. It measures 45" when laid out flat. The holster is for the .45 Webley service revolver (The revolver in the holster in the photographs is just for demonstration purposes and not included in the sale). The holster is dark brown leather, it has a nice patina. It has a fold over flap which has a brass 'button' attached, a leather strap, stitched to the rear folds forward and over the 'button'. On the rear it has a leather belt loop for attaching to the Sam Browne Equipment Belt. All of the stitching on the holster is secure and in good condition. The ammunition pouch is in excellent condition and retains a very nice patina. All of the stitching is present and secure. The sword frog again is in very good condition and retains all of the stitching which is secure. It has two leather straps which retain all the correct buckles and keepers. The cross strap secures through two brass belt loops on the belt. It retains all of the brass buckles and brass 'buttons'. This is a very nice complete set. The price includes delivery. Sn 14346

An Original 1941 dated P38 Walther 'Hard Shell' holster. The holster has a fold over lid secured with a leather strap through a fixed metal bar on the body. The lid has a metal reinforced plate which fits over the loop. The long side of the holster has an open top stitched spare magazine pouch (Empty). The reverse of the holster has two leather stitched belt loops, both secure. The rear of the holster is faintly impressed with 1943 date, Waffenamt and P38. There is also a faint Nazi manufacturer code ‘hlv’ which is Maury u. Co., Lederwarenfabrik, Offenbach on the Main). Inside the holster it retains its original leather quick draw pull strap. A WW2 1941 British Officer's Sam Browne belt, Webley Service holster and shoulder strap, all in excellent condition. The belt is in excellent condition and is supple and has a very nice patina. It retains all of the brass loops and equipment hook. It also has the leather belt keeper. It measures 45" when laid out flat. The holster is for the .45 Webley service revolver and is complete with a brass cleaning rod. The holster is stamped under the flap with "2 92 1941 CB 81" and the War Department 'Broad Arrow'. The holster is dark brown leather, it has a nice patina. It has a fold over flap which has a brass 'button' attached, a leather strap, stitched to the rear folds forward and over the 'button'. On the rear it has a leather belt loop for attaching to the Sam Browne Equipment Belt. All of the stitching on the holster is secure and in good condition. The shoulder strap secures through two brass belt loops on the belt. It retains all of the brass buckles and brass 'buttons'. The belt, holster and shoulder strap are all in matching brown leather, all have a very nice patina and the stitching on all three items is present and secure. A very nice set.
