The M15 Adrian helmet (French: Casque Adrian) was a combat helmet issued to the French Army during World War 1. It was the first standard helmet of the French Army and was designed when millions of French troops were engaged in trench warfare The later M 1926 helmet was made of a single piece of pressed steel without joining rim. This is an excellent original WW1 M15 French Adrian Combat Helmet complete with its original clean sweatband liner and chinstrap. The liner is faintly stamped with what appears to be ‘C1’. The helmet is fitted with an original Infantry 'RF' (République Française) helmet badge featuring an ignited grenade. The helmet has no dents and its original dark grey paint finish has just light scuffs consistent with age and service use. It is approx UK size 7. Price for this WW1 Adrian includes UK delivery. Boxed Post 1953 Royal Artillery Officer's Uniform Cap To Major C D Robins By Herbert Johnson, New Bond Street, London & Regiment Badge. Sn 12644 - 12644
A boxed Post 1953 Royal Artillery Officer's uniform cap with Regiment badge by Herbert Johnson, New Bond Street, London. The cap is in excellent condition and free of any moth damage. Its green material is clean & free of any damage, showing signs of careful use and storage. It has a brown leather chin strap secured with brass Royal Artillery buttons. The cap retains a nice shape. To the front it is fitted with Queen’s Crown cap badge (Royal Artillery) which is in excellent condition. Inside the cap it has the leather sweat band. The crown has some service wear but has a partially visible Johnson manufacturer’s stamp. There is no size inside but it measures 17cm side to side and 18cm front to back. The cap comes in a transit, heavy duty cardboard box which is labelled on the top with a Herbert Johnson label & a 1965 dated Royal Mail ink stamp. The box is addressed to "Major C D Robins, R.A. HQ RA 3rd Division Bulford Camp Wiltshire". This is an excellent condition example of the RA Officers Uniform cap and box. The price includes UK delivery. A boxed Kings Crown Royal Artillery officer's full dress cap with gilt cap badge by Herbert Johnson, New Bond Street, London. The cap is in excellent condition and free of any moth damage and has vivid colours to the red piping and head band. The cap is free of any damage, showing signs of careful use and storage. It has a black peak with gold bullion braid and a black leather chin strap secured with brass Royal Artillery buttons. The cap retains a nice shape. To the front it is fitted with a gilt Kings Crown cap badge (Royal Artillery) which is in excellent condition. Inside the cap it has the leather sweat band and clear plastic liner. There is no size inside but it measures 17cm side to side and 18cm front to back. The cap comes in a transit, heavy duty cardboard box which is labelled on the top with a Herbert Johnson label a Cabin Label for postage to Cyprus and the hat is addressed to "LT. C D Robins, R.A. This is an excellent rare Victorian Royal Marines Senior Officers Pill box hat. It is undamaged and no sign of moth.It has a Navy blue crown and body with stitched cloth wire work. The body and wire work are clean and intact. The hat is mounted with its original bullion embroidery Royal Marines badge with crown & ‘Gibralter’ banner. It has a patent leather peak with bullion wire braid and leather sweat band. Its silk liner has perished in places but its manufacturer’s label is intact ‘Cater & Co 58 Pall Mall London’ with Queens Crown & Royal Cypher 'VR' (Victoria Regina). It is approx. UK size 6. Early Belgian Gendarmerie Warrant Officer's Kepi. Sn 12437 - 12437
This is an early Belgian Gendarmerie Kepi for Warrant Officer (NCO) ranks of the National Police (Rijkswacht) which was part of the Belgian Army. The kepi is in good condition and free of any damage. It has a black peak with a braided and knotted cord chin strap with a black 'dash' pattern. Secured with a metal 'Exploding Grenade' button on either side. The kepi has a white head band which also has a black 'dash' decoration. To the front it has a metal 'Exploding Grenade' button with a loop of braided cord similar to the chin strap looped up to a cockade in red, white and black. The sides and top are in very good undamaged condition, piped in red round the top and above the head band and up the sides on each side. Inside it has a tan leather headband with a cloth lining. There are three numbers inside along with a name, two crossed out, the uncrossed one is "V.R 24769". It measures 160mm across from side to side and 190mm from front to back. WW2 1945 WD Scottish, Glasgow Highlanders Volunteers (Highland Light Infantry City Of Glasgow Regiment) Tam O Shanter Bonnet By S&P Harris Ltd Glasgow With Large Regiment Cap Badge. Sn 12434 - 12434
The Glasgow Highlanders was a former Infantry Regiment of the British Army, part of the Territorial Force, later renamed the Territorial Army. The Regiment eventually became a Volunteer Battalion of the Highland Light Infantry (City of Glasgow Regiment) in 1881. The Regiment based its cap badge upon that of the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment). The Regiment saw active service in both World War I and World War II. Elements of the Glasgow Highlanders fought at Normandy. This is an excellent original WW2 Tam O Shanter to the Glasgow Highlanders. Its khaki serge material is clean. It has the correct cotton adjustment cord and bears it's large metal Glasgow Highlanders badge. The top of the Tam O Shanter has a brown wool bobble. VERY RARE, WW1 British Tank Driver’s Steel & Leather ‘Splatter’ Face Mask With Chain Mail Veil & Brodie MK II Combat Helmet With Liner. HE 861 - HE 861
This is a very rare, original WW1 British Tank Driver’s Steel & Leather ‘Splatter’ Face Mask With Chain Mail Veil together with an original Brodie combat helmet. The steel mask with slotted eye guard protection and ridged nose guard is leather covered and has a padded chamois leather backing. It has its original cloth head ties and original chain mail veil to protect the driver’s mouth and chin. The steel, leather and material are intact with just the wear consistent with age and service use. The face mask is accompanied by an original British MK II Brodie steel combat helmet. These helmets would have been worn with the face mask as illustrated to give the driver good head and face protection. The helmet has the correct MK II reinforced rim stamped 'P/F53' & is complete with original oil cloth liner and padding. It is without chinstrap but its correct split pin mounted chin strap bales are present. The liner has its original but faint red 'Brodie' manufacturer's ink stamp. The helmet has its original rough textured olive finish & no dents. It has its correct small central copper rivet at the crown. Price includes UK delivery.
