British WW1 1917 Webley MK III* Brass Trench/ Signal Flare Pistol With Flared Muzzle. D 1455 - D 1455
An original British WW1 1917 MK III* Brass Trench/ Signal Flare Pistol With flared muzzle by Webley. The pistol has a 5 ½” barrel with Flared muzzle & slab wood grips which have just the knocks bumps and bruises to be expected. The grips are intact and totally secure. The pistol strips, cocks and dry fires perfectly and has excellent, clearly defined Webley manufacturer's name, Model and War Department inspection stamps on the left side of its frame together with '17' (1917) date (all illustrated). It also has serial number '66670' together with Webley Winged Bullet on its right side. The pistol is complete with military lanyard ring. Price includes UK deactivation certificate and UK delivery. An original British WW1 brass 1" MK III Trench flare pistol made by Cogswell & Harrison in 1916. The 5 ¾” barrel has a flared muzzle. It has its original wooden grips and is faintly stamped on the left side 'Cogswell & Harrison London'. It is also stamped '16' (1916) and 'III’ (Mark 3) with proof inspection marks and WD arrow. Named British WW1 1916 Brass 1" MK III Trench Flare/ Signal Pistol By W.W. Greener Birmingham Engraved ‘Cambrai 1918’ and With Rifle Regiment Badge Together With Rifle Regiment Officer’s Name ‘F.V. Smith’. Sn 13739 - 13739
The Battle of Cambrai, 1918 was a battle between troops of the British First, Third and Fourth Armies and German Empire forces during the Hundred Days Offensive of the First World War. The battle took place in and around the French city of Cambrai, between 8 and 10 October 1918. The battle incorporated many of the newer tactics of 1918, in particular tanks. This is an excellent British WW1 brass 1" Mk. III Trench flare pistol made by W.W. Greener of Birmingham in 1916. It has its original wooden grips and the butt is holed for lanyard ring. It is nicely stamped on the left side 'W.W. Greener Birmingham, '16' (1916 date) and ' III (Mark 3) with clear proof inspection marks & War Dept arrow. The right side is stamped with Greener’s 'Elephant' trademark and serial number '2187'. The right side is also crisply engraved with a depiction of the badge of a British Rifle Regiment & ‘Cambrai Oct 1918’ in remembrance of the battle together with the name ‘F.V. Smith’ no doubt the name of the British Rifle Regiment Officer who owned this flare pistol and most likely used it during the battle. The pistol strips, cocks and dry fires perfectly. An excellent condition WW1 1917 dated MK III British Army brass Trench flare / signal pistol by Wolsey Car Company with flared end piece. It has its original smooth wood slab grips, shrouded trigger, and measures 9 1/2" overall. It has a 1" calibre and 5.5" length barrel. The left side of the brass frame is stamped with "Wolsey 1917", the War Department 'Broad Arrow' and "III" along with inspection stamps. The right side has a serial number "1529". Scarce, Original, WW2 Imperial Japanese Navy, Second Variation Type 90 Triple Barrelled Flare/ Signal Pistol made by Kayaba Kogyo. Sn 6180 - 6180
Extemely rare, excellent condition second variation Type 90 triple barrelled flare signal pistol made by Kayaba Kogyo for the Imperial Japanese Navy. A total of only 5,300 Type 90 triple barrelled flare pistols were ever made and as most of the Japanese Navy was sunk during WWII rather than surrender, the majority of these pistols ended up at the bottom of the ocean. This pistol can be identified as a second variation of which only 3,400 were produced. It is manufacturer marked by Kayaba Kogyo company with katakana inspection mark and bears a Japanese Imperial Navy acceptance mark. (illustrated) on the right hand side of the frame and is stamped PAT. 93006 on the feft hand side of the frame. It has it's original chequered plastic grips and the metal work retains its original black lacquer painted finish including the different coloured flare markings to designate the barrels. Deactivated to new specification in 2008 this example breaks open as it should and it has a moving trigger. Also the selector switches rotate and safety catch locks the trigger. This is an extremely rare, hard to find gun. Price includes deactivation certificate and UK delivery. Sn 6180.

A German Military Heckler & Koch SIG P2 A1 26.5mm Flare/Illuminating pistol. The H.& K. P2A1 is a single-shot, break action flare pistol designed for signalling and illumination purposes. It could fire either 26.5 mm or 25 mm flares, or smoke cartridges. Adapters were available to use commercial 12 gauge flares. The body of the pistol is polymer composite, with the barrel and breech being made of steel. It is a very rugged and simple designed. The P2A1 had a life expectancy of about 1500 shots of full power flares. Past that point, barrel erosion made the weapon unsafe. The P2A1 is still in use in the German army, called "SigPi" (short for "Signalpistole" or signal handgun). It is in excellent condition and breaks as it should. It has "SIG P2A1 25.mm HK" on one side of the frame and "Bw 38232 8/81" on the other side (August 1981). It breaks, and dry fires. The price includes a de-activation certificate and UK postage. This is a good WW1 German Hebel 27mm calibre Flare/Signal Pistol. It has a 7" barrel and measures 11 1/2" overall. It has wood grips which are in very good condition. It's lever opening action works perfectly and it cocks and dry fires. The left side of the frame is stamped with serial number '44611'. The locating keyway on the left side of the barrel has "30" stamped into it. The right side has inspection marks. The butt is fitted with it's original military lanyard ring. WW2 Type 90 Japanese Army & Navy Double Barrelled Flare / Signal pistol. Sn 11388 - 11388
This is a very rare example of an Imperial Japanese Army & Navy double barrelled 28mm Flare/ Signal pistol. Introduced in the Japanese year '2590'- 1930, it was given the designation 90 using the last 2 digits of their year. Only 10,300 were ever made and many of those were lost at sea, as a result they are very scarce. This example is in its original as found condition. The chequered wood grips are complete and undamaged. The pistol retains its lanyard ring, selector switch, safety switch cocking lever ring and barrel opening lever. The pistol measures 8 inches overall with 2x 4” barrels. The breech has number ‘09870’ and the trigger block has a small inspection mark and number ‘12’. The pistol has a pinned barrel and strips, cocks and dry fires. This is a very rare item. Price includes deactivation certificate and UK delivery. Sn 11388
