KA-BAR is the contemporary popular name for the combat knife first adopted by the United States Marine Corps (USMC) in November 1942. This is an excellent original example of the Kabar knife complete with leather sheath. The knife has a 7" carbon steel clip point blade, correct double pinned pmmel and compressed leather-washer handle. The ricasso is crisply stamped by the manufacturer 'U.S. CONETTA'. It is complete with original leather sheath which has a retaining strap with press stud fastener and large belt loop. All leather and stitching of the sheath are intact. Price includes UK delivery. An excellent WW2 US Camillus M3 Fighting Knife & Un issued condition M8 Scabbard With Integral Frog By BM Co. The blade is stamped "US M3 Camillus". The compressed leather ringed handle and blade are undamaged. The top of the pommel has the 'ignited grenade' Frankford Arsenal mark. The pommel is double pinned. The knife is complete with original green plastic M8 scabbard with integral green webbing frog which has a single retaining strap and press stud fastener. The upper mount of the scabbard is stamped 'USM8' & by the manufacturer 'BM Co'. The scabbard is fitted with it's original leather thigh cord which has never been uncoiled. An original WW2 US M3 Fighting Knife & M8 Scabbard With Integral Frog. It's has a clean 6 1/2" blade. The crossguard is stamped by the manufacturer 'USM3 IMPERIAL'. WW2 US Army Airforce Camillus Folding Machete & Blade Guard. ED 2258 - ED 2258
This is an original American made folding machete / fighting knife by Camillus. The U.S Army, Folding Survival Machete was introduced in 1942 issued to U.S Air crew and originally carried folded in the seat pack attached to parachutes. This original WW2 example has a rivetted handle and tin blade cover. The machete measures 15" extended & 11" folded. The 9 3/4" blade has some staining and nicks to the cutting edge consistent with service use. The blade is marked by the manufacturer "Camillus". It's black grips are in good undamaged condition with just the bumps and bruises to be expected of service use. The American Company, Buck Knives was founded in San Diego, California in the early 1900's and is now located in Post Falls, Idaho. The company has a long history through five generations of the Buck family. In 1992/1993 the Bucks introduced the Nighthawk Combat/ Survival Knife. The Nighthawk was submitted to the US Marines for evaluation. This is a near mint condition Buck 650 Nighthawk. It has a fixed 6 1/2 oxidized drop point blade & composite handle with stippled palm/ side section and thumb grip insert. The knife is complete with it's similar mint condition original black nylon scabbard with large belt loop and retaining strap with press stud fastener. The front of the scabbard is embroided with the 'Buck' manufacturer's name. The press stud is also stamped 'Buck'. Price includes UK delivery. ED 2241

An American Post WW2 private purchase Military Fighting Knife. (see page 120 item 609 of Fighting Knives By Stephens). This knife by an unknown manufacturerer has black synthetic grips secured to the tang by 3 rivets. The ferrule and cross guard are made of brass. This rugged knife has a 6" Bowie type blade which is clean and 1 1/2" wide. It measures 12" overall and is complete with a later proffesionally made scabbard made of thick black leather. US Air Force Jet Pilots Survival Knife, Scabbard and Honing Stone. The knife is designed as a simple, sturdy survival aid complete with a 4 3/4" saw-back blade. The handle is made of compressed leather rings with six grooves. The pommel is a steel hexagonal shape. It has "Ontario 2/80" stamped into it. The cross piece has two 5mm holes drilled in it. The black leather scabbard has a pocket on the front which holds a honing stone. The scabbard has a belt loop and retaining loop secured with a press stud. On the reverse of the scabbard it has "Knife Hunting Sheathed Survival Pilots ?????? 8662E ???? Cutlery April 1984" stamped in black ink. It has a 5 inch polished single edge blade and has 'K-Bar Olean N.Y.' on the ricasso (illustrated). It has a smooth 4" handle made from compressed leathwer washers. The attractive handle is in excellent condition as is it's cross guard and rounded aluminium pommel. The knife is complete with original leather sheath with stud fastening retaining strap. An Original WW2 American Cattaraugus Commando Fighting Knife Pattern 225G and Brown leather scabbard. This knife was described by Cattaraugus in their advertisements as a commando knife. It measure 10 1/2" overall with a 6" single edged polished blade. It has a leather washer grip, the butt is made up of three steel washers and has a chequered top. The blade ricasso is stamped with "Cattaraugus 225Q" The scabbard is brown leather and is folded over to form a belt loop. It has a leather retaining loop secured with a press stud. The scabbard is stitched and has 8 small rivets along the stitched line as reinforcement. The price includes Uk delivery.

A WW2 U.S.M.C. Fighting Knife Machete & Scabbard dated 1942. These Machetes were issued to U.S. Marines & Hospital/ Medical Corps as a close quater fighting knife and cutting tool / machete, The shape of the blade being similar to the earlier Bolo knives. It has a 3" broad, 11" long heavy blade. The knife has plain wood grips held on with three rivets. The blade is stamped with "USMC Briddell". The brown leather scabbard is made of heavy leather and has a brass throat and steel belt clip on the reverse. It is crisply stamped on the leather belt loop "US Boyt 42" (Boyt manufacturer 1942).
