WW2 U.S Cattaraugus 225Q ' Quartermasters' Fighting Utility Knife And Sheath. ED 2393 - ED 2393
During WW2 Quartermaster staff needed a heavy duty combat knife which was strong enough to open ammunition boxes and crates. The American Company Cattaraugus produced the 225Q (Q for Quartermaster), which because of their strength, soon found their way into regular service as a combat knife ( see page 67 Of U.S Military Knives By Cole & page 123 of US Military Knives Collectors Guide By Silvey & Boyd). This is a nice original example. It has a sturdy, broad single edged fullered 6 1/4" blade (10 ½” inches overall). The ricasso is crisply engraved with the 'Cattaraugus' signature legend and designation '225Q'. The blade has some areas of staining consistent with age. Its banded handle made from compressed leather washers is in good condition with just service wear to be expected. It has a steel finger guard and large oval steel pommel with flat chequered end. The knife is complete with original leather sheath with stud fastening retaining strap which functions perfectly and integral belt loop. Price includes UK delivery. ED 2393

C1910 American Bowie Knife By LF&C (Landers, Frary & Clark) With Stag Horn Grips & Leather Scabbard. Sn 10926 - 10926
Landers, Frary & Clark (LFC) was a housewares company based in New Britain, Connecticut USA. The Company also produced quality Bowie knives and during WW1 manufactured Trench Fighting knives for American Forces. The firm operated from 1865 until its assets were sold to the General Electric company in 1965. This excellent Bowie by LFC is typical of the American manufacturer's high quality work and is typical of their knives produced C1910 (The Bowie & Scabbard are similar to illustrations in a 1910-1920 catalogue of an LFC American retailer Thomson Diggs Co). It has a clean 7" single edged Bowie blade, German Silver cross guard and Stag horn scales secured by 4 brass rivets. The blade is marked at the ricasso by the retailer 'LF&C' (Landers, Frary & Clark). It measures 11 3/4" overall and is complete with its original brown leather scabbard. The scabbard has a belt loop and all leather and stitching are intact. The rear of the scabbard has contemporary hand written ink lettering ‘Maker Landers Frary + Clarke’. WW2 Era U.S. Kinfolk's Fighting / Utility Knife With Leather Scabbard. ED 2348 - ED 2348
An original U.S. Kinfolk's made Fighting utility Knife. These knives were the 1930-1940 forerunner of the MK 1 USN (United States Navy) fighting knife ( see pages 166-167 of Knives Of The United States Military WW2). It has a clean 5" single edged clip point blade with fuller & measures 9 1/2" overall. It's compressed leather washer handle is undamaged. The ricasso is crisply marked 'Kinfolk's Inc'. The knife is complete with original leather scabbard with large belt loop and single retaining strap with press stud fastener. WW2 U.S. Navy MK 2 Fighting Knife By Camillus & MK 2 Scabbard By B.M. Co / Victory Plastics. Sn 9879. - 9879
An excellent example of a WW2 U.S. Navy MK 2 Fighting Knife made by Camillus in its scabbard. The grip is constructed of the correct compressed leather washers with a double pinned steel pommel. It is in clean and undamaged condition. It has a steel crossguard and a 7" parkerised bowie blade. The crossguard is crisply stamped, 'U.S.N. MK 2' and makers details 'CAMILLUS N.Y.'. It is complete with it's original Green Plastic MK 2 Scabbard with integral webbing frog, belt loop and retaining strap with working brass press stud. It is stamped on the front 'USN MK 2'. The rear with the makers mark of 'B.M. Co.' and a Victory Plastics 'VP' stamp together with 'NORD-4723'. The bottom of the scabbard is fitted with a small piece of cord. Price includes UK delivery. WW2 Era U.S. KA-BAR USMC Fighting Knife By Conetta And Sheath. Sn 7486 - 7486
KA-BAR is the contemporary popular name for the combat knife first adopted by the United States Marine Corps (USMC) in November 1942. This is an excellent original example of the Kabar knife complete with leather sheath. The knife has a 7" carbon steel clip point blade, correct double pinned pmmel and compressed leather-washer handle. The ricasso is crisply stamped by the manufacturer 'U.S. CONETTA'. WW2 US Army Airforce Camillus Folding Machete & Blade Guard. ED 2258 - ED 2258
This is an original American made folding machete / fighting knife by Camillus. The U.S Army, Folding Survival Machete was introduced in 1942 issued to U.S Air crew and originally carried folded in the seat pack attached to parachutes. This original WW2 example has a rivetted handle and tin blade cover. The machete measures 15" extended & 11" folded. The 9 3/4" blade has some staining and nicks to the cutting edge consistent with service use. The blade is marked by the manufacturer "Camillus". It's black grips are in good undamaged condition with just the bumps and bruises to be expected of service use. Mint, Post 1992, U.S. Buck 650 Nighthawk Combat/ Survival Knife & Scabbard. ED 2241. - ED 2241
The American Company, Buck Knives was founded in San Diego, California in the early 1900's and is now located in Post Falls, Idaho. The company has a long history through five generations of the Buck family. In 1992/1993 the Bucks introduced the Nighthawk Combat/ Survival Knife. The Nighthawk was submitted to the US Marines for evaluation. This is a near mint condition Buck 650 Nighthawk. It has a fixed 6 1/2” oxidized drop point blade & composite handle with stippled palm/ side section and thumb grip insert. The knife is complete with it's similar mint condition original black nylon scabbard with large belt loop and retaining strap with press stud fastener. Post WW2 Private Purchase U.S. Military Fighting Knife & Sheath. Sn 8424:35 - 8424:35
An American Post WW2 private purchase Military Fighting Knife. (see page 120 item 609 of Fighting Knives By Stephens). This knife by an unknown manufacturerer has black synthetic grips secured to the tang by 3 rivets. The ferrule and cross guard are made of brass. This rugged knife has a 6" Bowie type blade which is clean and 1 1/2" wide. It measures 12" overall and is complete with a later proffesionally made scabbard made of thick black leather.
