Rare, Victorian, Albert Prince Consort Royal Coat of Arms Engraved, German Silver, Sykes Patent, Black Powder Flask. Sn 8298. - 8298 Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, later The Prince Consort ( 26 August 1819 – 14 December 1861) was the husband of Queen Victoria. He died at the early age of 42, plunging the Queen into a deep mourning that lasted for the rest of her life. This is a rare, German Silver, Black Powder Flask beautifully engraved to the front aspect with the Royal Coat Of Arms belonging to Prince Albert. The Flask is 7 3/4" in length and has some denting consistent with hunting use but is fully intact. It has a screw off top crisply engraved 'Sykes Patent' with correct fully functioning 'spring catch' nozzle and clearly marked grain measures '2 1/2', '2 3/4' and '3'.
